I cannot thank you enough for your videos and the detailed information you put into them, I am once again using the information you provided and what I learned from you to open and grease the differentials of my third MJX Hyper Go 16208 I received last week. My 10 year old son is putting His MJX 16208 through a thorough durability test since he received it for his birthday on the 25th of December, all that broke so far was the outer screw on the left steering link, and of course by now the tyres are getting smoother and smoother every day!!! LOL!!!
You're more than welcome. Sign of a good RC bald tyres are! 🤣👍👌 Don't know if I mentioned this, but certain HBX steel transmission parts are interchangeable. They seem to be a bit more durable than the pot metal versions on the MJX.
@@theminiatureconstructionco4556 Yes, there are upgraded differentials, spur and bevel gears available, however the upgraded parts in total cost almost half of a brand new MJX 16208, but after you installed the upgraded parts the MJX could be even more bulletproof than the HBX 16889A Pro. I think where MJX lacked a bit was to install a brushless setup with gears meant to last forever on the brushed version which I think they would have if it was still brushed. However after servicing the differentials and putting in high quality wheel bearing grease, we still have yet to break a stock differential. I am also running my MJX 16209 with the bigger wheels tyres of the MJX 14210, so the differentials on that one are working even harder and still I have no problems with them. I am also wondering if mixing in graphite with the grease will also help to improve the lifespan of the stock differentials?
From where tbe Bug 3 , Mini Bugs 3 & Bugs 8 Pro came from. Wiring & solder joints are top notch & all those listed still get Flown daily, 6 yrs later . Good to see they still provide a good bargain while allowing brushless power .
These MJX cars are fantastic little cars, I have this Hyper Go 16208 with the clipless body, love running this truck & on 3s its crazy fast. I also had the new MJX 1/14 14301 & 14302 arrive this week, these are the Mini Infraction style body & the Lancia inspired rally body cars. Around 28mph on 2s & 40 - 42mph on 3s. I think the MJX cars are some of the best & toughest mini cars around at the moment, you get a lot for the money.
Great video, interested in the battery situation. Could you tell me the overall width and length of the battery tray please? If I get one of these I's like to remove the clip and fit my own bigger capacity lipo's.
Would love to know why it's only this colour that has the internal roll cage with the cam lock style body clip. The other colour which looks the same body has the four body clip style 🤷♂️. Great truck. Have had mine for couple of months and is a beast for its size.
I was thinking that very same thought last night. Why only that colour and not the pink/ multi-coloured version? My brother bought that shell for his MEW4. He loves the fact that it's clipless!! 😆
Thanks now I know how to take mine apart to lube up somethings is fast but stops to fast like something is holding it back like string or something any suggestions
@@theminiatureconstructionco4556 I like the fact that it has foam on the steering wheel, however i would have preferred it to have had steering dual rate due to the fact that it is more expensive than the HBX 16889A and 16889A PRO. The forward/reverse adjustment was also very confusing to me when I got mine. I thought that the car or transmitter was defective because reverse did not work at all. The way this adjustment has been set up on the transmitter is quite pointless once one gets to think logical about it.
They do seem like a nice quality piece of kit. There are several models listed on banggood, all of which go up and down I price regularly. If you are 100% serious about purchasing one, I could enquire to see if there is a subscriber discount coupon available for this model? 👍
Neat little truck. Not really feeling the proprietary battery situation. I don't see how to charge the included lipo on a hobby grade charger versus the charging cable that came with it. We all know that it takes forever. I guess you could just supply your own 2s lipos. Does anyone have any info on that? Thanks for the review..
Hello. You can charge the battery's on an aftermarket charger. As the plugs on the battery are the same (deans and three pin balance). I've seen people fit there own lipo's too.
Hi I got the mjx hyper go at moment I have the gps one, thing is I want to put a brushless motor,in and run it on lipos, please can you advise on some good upgrades Cheers
Hi thanks for the reply,I’m going to keep it standard, though I got a lipo battery and charger just to give it a little zip plus I’m saving for the hpi rc car,but thank you for your reply
hi - i just bought this from aliexpress. Question for you - the drive train and gear box are very noisy and loose. It appears to have quite a bit of slack in the gear box, so if you hold tree wheels in place and the turn the remaining wheel it moves and makes a few clicks like skipping a few teeth before the wheel locks into the transmission, just so very loose and very clicky drive train. Is this normal on this particular model?
I've always found metal transmissions in rc cars, with a few exceptions. Are a bit noisy and stiff when new, until run in. Diffs also can be clicky and rough when brand new. If in doubt pull it out, and take a look. 👍
nearly brought something like this but then I realised it's not very good. will break in a few days and the fun just stops. then should we talk about sensitivity of the controls? some will speak how bad it is with hyper go...most just replace it's that bad
These are really excellent Rc’s for the money. Glad MJX had gotten into the ground vehicles. They have definitely raised the bar of budget Rc’s!
Yeah, these things are looking serious contenders for the new 1:16 Kings. There are s9me larger scales coming out soon! 👍
Thanks so much for sharing ... your "many hours later" opening saved me many hours. Really appreciated and great run down.
You're more than welcome. Thanks for taking the time to comment and watch the video! 😄👍

@philiprccars4340 might do. On my brothers, they just wore out very quickly.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say these are possibly the budget small RCs to have. 😁👍
Sweet looking little cheapo, looks like a good one ☝️
They really seem tough little trucks!
Sir that is the most in depth unboxing I have ever seen. Great video. Thanks.
Thank you for your kind comments. And apologies it took so long to reply. I don't always get all of the message notifications i should!
id spent way too much money with MJX so far lol Great products!
Yes they seem like a good quality "budget" truck. Im impressed so far.

There's a few new ones coming out. My brother has his eye on one. So, hopefully, I'll get to test it. So far, I'm hearing good things! 👍😁
On the 2s what approx is the run time and charge time?
Hey how are the boys ?I
Love the madness in the video RAYNE
Very well thank you.
I am very pleased with my MJX Hyper Go brushless 2s with 3s capability.
My brothers got the new one on the way, so it will be interesting to see how it runs. 😀
@@theminiatureconstructionco4556 Which one did your brother get? Did you do a video on it?
@philiprccars4340 my brother had the MEW4 truck version. And yes there is a review video on it. 👍👍
Great video, interested in the battery situation. Could you tell me the overall width and length of the battery tray please? If I get one of these I's like to remove the clip and fit my own bigger capacity lipo's.
Sorry for the delay in replying. The tray its self 110mm long and just over 35mm wide. My brother uses a variety of different battery's in his.

Gear mesh to tight somewhere?
Or wheel nuts to tight?
The controller is actually a bit of a let down on the MJX when you compare it to the HBX 16889A Pro controller.
It is an unusually good transmitter for a budget RC though.

thanks. how is the esc in terms of heat?
@mudhumfuzzbuzz if I remember correctly nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi, is the metal on the gears as good as that on the HBX 16889A Pro
I'm going to be honest, no. Although they do make some steel replacements. Also, hbx diffs are interchangeable with mjx ones, so happy days 😄.
I love mine!
They are a cracking bit of kit for the money. They seem to be getting cheaper too.
