Alcoholica1989 well to people who learn by ear it isn't "listening to the song over and over" more like just parts and bits. Some parts are easy and take like a minute to learn just by messing around, some take 30 minutes to understand wth the guitar is doing in another 30 seconds lol
Yeah, like 3bdbd989 said. That's what I do hahaha. Some part(like 20 seconds of solo, for example) can take me an hour to figure it out. However, I also listen to the song over and over again when I'm first introduced to it, so that I can get the idea of how the song flows, and it will help me a lot when I sit down and learn it on my guitar ;)
