Me too. What's wild is I also had Descent, Rebel Assault, X-Wing, and a few other classics, but I still definitely spent a fair amount of time on this. I placed... A lot of spiders outside
I have been trying to find this game for nearly a decade. All I could remember was walking around a computer chip. My dad let me play this at his school where he was a teacher so we never owned it. But I have such fond memories since I could play it while my dad graded papers. Normally, I'd only see him after dinner for a little bit before bed but playing this kept me entertained enough that I was allowed to spend afternoons with my dad without issue. Thank you so much for uploading this!
Ahhh this brings back memories. My parents stressed education growing up. With my father's love for computers, acquiring this game was his way of supporting my development.
@@thousandfootdeepend1278 I woke up and randomly had “hanging out… at the treehouse” in my head and thankfully a quick search brought me back so many fun memories ahhhh take me back!
So many memories... I remember you would only get a certain amount of time to use the computer and it would only happen once a week or something. You'd be so psyched to jump on and play Lemmings, Spectre or Treehouse :')
wow this game really takes me back. Not only was this my first game I played on a PC "PackardBell" I also remember eating my first mcdonalds hamburger while playing this game lol.
I'm always humming Windir - Journey to the End and my mom is always like "Is that the theme to The Treehouse?" It would certainly blow my mind if anyone can relate to this.
@@nnnn1285 Anyone who isn't playing this game RIGHT NOW and using DIAL UP to watch this video (WHILE playing this game RIGHT NOW) is a poser and casual LAMER.
I remember seeing those 2 while playing a the Playroom First I thought they were hybrids of cats and dolls, but many years later, they now reveal to be possums. 😅
This doesn’t feature all the activities this game had to offer. One I particularly liked was sorting animals between diurnal and nocturnal. And another one I can only remember where the voice would go: in the jungle... they don’t make games like they used to! So many features, it’s a masterpiece.
Doodle Beans “in tha jun-gle!” I can hear it now ❤️ The reason I came to find this video is because I said "during an eclipse" in a random conversation and got a flashback to this game
Oh my god, someone else remembers that part, too! The diurnal/nocturnal part was literally all of this game that I could remember, but I took to Google today determined to find out what game I was recalling that from, and here I am! Omg so many childhood memories!!!
@@hedwardd Just wanted to say that I have this for “in the middle of nowhere”. I cannot have those words enter my brain without me saying it in that voice. I was trying to think of what the other things where.
Okay so there was a pink cassette tape that came with this game and it was the theme song and it was funny as hell, is there any way to hear that song again??
@@Squakenet It's all ran by bean counters now. It is not the fault of capitalism it is the fault of anti trust not being used more. They use very sneaky tactics to legally own it all. Both political parties are in on it at your expense.
I got every ounce of gameplay possible out of this as a kid.

Holy shit, core memory unlocked.
Oh wow. At first the game looked only vaguely familiar to me, but when I heard the "Hangin' out at the treehouse" song, it all came rushing back.
The starting sound triggered so many feelings...
We must be the same age
Holy mother of childhood flashbacks Batman!!
I remember playing this, Oregon trail and the Arther games nonstop as a little kid!😂❤

Thanks for sharing such a lovely memory!
Awe lol when I was little and my mom was still here she used to make me tea and jam on toast and I'd play this game :, )
It sounds like a lovely memory!
Would you like a free Bandcamp download of my new album?
Ahhh this brings back memories. My parents stressed education growing up. With my father's love for computers, acquiring this game was his way of supporting my development.
Oh my god this is bringing back so many memories. Those sounds, that song on the radio… so many flashbacks.
OMG. MY CHILDHOOD. *gross sobbing* Thank you for this.
I googled Old School Treehouse game and almost cried when it came right up on the search.
The theme started and I legit started crying!

Nostalgia so thick you can actually taste and smell it.
I was watching Arrested Development today and was somehow reminded of this game. Used to play it constantly as a kid!!
wow I played this so much as a kid this is like insanely nostalgic
I have been reminiscing about Treehouse for years!! Thank you for posting this!!!
The phrase that keeps repeating in my head is "during a storm" hahah i dont remember that part of it but i remember little bits of it. Crazy!

brings back memories from primary school :)
Pure nostalgia!
pretty sure this game turned me into the musical genius that I am.
Omg I was utterly obsessed with this 3 decades back
I've never stopped being obsessed with this game. Real ones ALWAYS stay true. Unlike FAKE gamers such as yourself.

I must have played this game when I was 2 years old. Nuts. I definitely thought it was a fever dream.

Omg I had forgotten about this game till recently. I loved it when I was little
HANGIN OUT AT THE TREEHOUSE
Ayyyye
Holy crap, the nostalgia
To this day, my siblings or I will call eachother up just to say "During a storm!" "During an eclipse!" or "On Moon Miranda!" and hang up. lol
I have the mac version of this and it comes with a cassette of this song. The mac intro is a little bit fancier.
THIS IS MY CHILDHOOD!!
I remember playing this game in kindergarten! This and a Mickey mouse matching game.
The musical circuit is fantastic! I hadn't really considered this aspect of the game.
Omg a blast from when I was a kid
Hi nostalgia!
My parents gave me this game as a child and the password to get into the game was my name. 🥰
Quick❓, am I the only one in 2021 who started singing the "hanging out at the treehouse" theme song and immediately searched it on UA-cam ❓❓🤔
Exactly why I came here.
Holy shit! So many memories!!!! Thank you for this!!!
Wow memories .....I miss those days eh sis?

The theme song goes unreasonably hard 🔥
That developer logo music though.
I haven't played this game in ages
MY CHILDHOOD
I remember playing this
Can you upload the 1996 version of the treehouse with casey the frog and lloyd the lightning bug if you get it?
The nostalgia ♥️
Oh memories!
I never had this game but I remember it.
I recall this game being part of a series?
My first computer lacked a proper sound card , so I played this game with no music, just the sfx :(
"Bongobot GRows haIR inthemiddleof nowhere"
Omg I remember that game ^_^
Broderbund raised me.
Ehehe, and many others growing up during that period!!
Look-a-lot eats pickles during an eclipse in the middle of nowhere

The game uses .DAT files that cannot be opened even with .Dat file converter. How do you rip the awkard format?
oh my god the nostalgiaaaaaa
I loved this gameeeee 🥹
Wow I remember this game faintly!! Way back in the cobweb area of my mind in my childhood
That coin bag looks... weird.
Disappointed you didn't play all the games available.
Sorry, I wish I had the time to do so :)
Graphics by ...Fred Butt...that's unfortunate
It's absurd to think about this and what kiddos do now. Sad really.
Yes indeed... :(
