      The progressives these days wouldn’t be able to handle a show that was this wholesome. In fact teaching Opie about love probably would be considered racist or an act of white supremacy by the progressive left. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    The world needs more of this kind of TV. But that is not what is on their agenda.

    I just love this show.....it just makes my day and I forget all about the time we're living in a go back to that time. Those were the good old days.

    There was always something to learn from this show. It was good for both kids and grown-ups.

    I grew up in a time and place that was so much like Mayberry. My father even resembled Andy and my grandmother had that Aunt Bee look. Sure do miss those days and those people... and being that content.

    “When you marry a person, the best thing to do is marry them right back” 🤣👌
    That’s the kind of sweet wholesome humor that probably doesn’t exist nowadays in new shows

    This is my favorite scene between Andy and Opie. Andy Griffith may have been the first TV program to really show affection between a father and son in this way. Not just a kind word and a pat on the head, but a father kissing his son goodnight and leaving the door open a few inches; his voice filled with an emotion you can only feel when a child belongs to you and you never want to let them go

    That’s the only time Opie mentioned anything about his mom

    • @LoneWombat2126
      @LoneWombat2126 Місяць тому

      He also had questions when Andy tried to tell Opie about when it’s time for a person to die after Opie’s turtle died. But they didn’t really talk about his mom after he got older. Maybe it was just because the show was still new,a nd they wanted to give the audience some history but not too much. 🤷‍♀️

      Not only that but also trying to push an agenda of anything other than religiosity and Godliness. The further the country gets from God, the less they’ll fight immorality.
