      Imagine Mikhaila (his daughter) telling him as a young teen that she's going to have some Cheetos an hour before dinner and he objects. "No, you can't have Cheetos before dinner. Cheetos will mess up your life. In fact, I'm writing an article about that now "Cheetos as antidote to civilization." All those Cheetos do is get orange dust underneath your fingernails. And man, you can't get anywhere in life with all that orange dust on you. I actually got a letter yesterday from a young man who told me that he was told by his supervisor that getting the Cheetos dust out from underneath his fingernails is why his recent presentation at a meeting went over so well. And I said "Great, man...hey you can tear it up professionally now." Because the Freudian archetypes...…."
      Mikhaila might respond "MOOOOM, Dad is getting all metaphysical on me again when all I wanted to do is have a little snack to tide me over until dinner."

    Jordan Peterson is a man with a mirror. And he holds it up to your face so you can have a look at who and what you are. When you then hate him, it is because you hate the reflection you see in that mirror. Others, those who are not brainwashed by an ideology, be it political or religious, and there is no difference, when they look in his mirror see HOPE. They love him.

      Kk, I'm atheist in every sense but I find that argument to be flawed and will not have any impact on religious people. Most of the world + all of human history were not brain washed... It is the human condition. Similarly to how you jump in to your "labels and groups" to feel part of something.
      And most religious people view "every God" as their "God" because there is only one "God" to them. Different opinions of the same God is how they view it. Like if we all try a food and say its different, but it's a strawberry, it's still a strawberry.
      Don't fall victim to the same tribe-like brain washing you accuse others.

      @Isa It's amazing how yet again you've demonstrated perfectly that you are an ideological puppet, and that you try your hardest to paint anyone opposing to your ideology as bad as you can.
      How do you know that I accept every word he says uncritically? You don't.
      How do you know that I think I'm beyond ideology? You don't.
      You don't know anything about me yet you so proudly stated such details about my thinking, you also don't understand a single word he says if that's your conclusion about JP, that he's an anti-woman white supremacist. Oh. How convenient.
      I also have no hate for anyone that disagrees, perhaps you assumed that because that's how your brain works.

      @ indeed. And they had just as much of a point: it is folly to assume that one's limited experience has the measure of all things. Also: just because one's biases aren't apparent to one doesn't mean they don't in fact exist. They could even be quite apparent to others while you remain totally oblivious. Just because one likes to imagine oneself as a completely rational and moral creature doesn't make it so. I could go on all day.
      But none of it means we shouldn't proceed on the basis of using our rational faculties and senses when we can have a firm grasp upon them. In this mother Church and the Enlightenment thinkers were in quite firm agreement.
      They were just not in agreement on what we could actually have a firm grasp of...
      Then Kant came along and messed everything up by a childish insistence on our inability to be completely sure of anything except our existing in this moment. Well, you don't say. But that doesn't mean it's actually an effective survival strategy to proceed on that basis...

      eero snellman There we have an alt right lad, ey?.. To counter you, well I am only half white european, living in Europe- then half greenland Inuit, 17/yo, male. I've read Jordan's 12 Rules for Life and I'm halfway through Maps of Meaning. I don't indulge in minority identitarianism, I think it's reprehensible. So, well, I guess your point is proven since the other, ethnic, half of my groups is actually doing even worse than whites with suicide rates, mental illness and alcoholism.
      I am not however, willing to downfall anyone who's simply fucking trying to not suffer so terribly; by imposing collectivist mobbing. And there really is tragedy, my friend was ran over by a car, he was 16, no wonder people do what they fucking do.
      Peterson's predicted your type as well; if the radical left are going to play identity politics; .. then "Alright, we'll play that game too, but we'll fucking win".

    • @Vastroc
      @Vastroc 5 років тому +8

      @eero snellman Peterson preaches taking on responsibility, self improvement, and fixing family problems. The result of this is numerous white males (obviously others as well but lets focus on the demographic that you care about) turning from losers into valuable men. You can see it in the many posts of guys saying that fixed their various issues and are now in stable relationships/marriages. This will result naturally result in more kids (that genome you care so much about).
      Your message is for whites to collectivize and play identity politics. Well that was done in Germany and resulted in such a horror that it put scar to the psyche of practically all of humanity. No amount of comment posts you and your ideologues make will change that. Every white person with a nonwhite friend (just about 99% of white people), will be repulsed by you. Whites following your philosophy will essentially become mocked losers and incels. This will naturally result in less kids. Ironically, it turns out you are the one who is anti white but are just too ideologically captured to realize it.

      @@gabeclaufredd1099 no you dont. when civilization is going in a bad direction maybe the best place to start is with the way nature ordained human existence. Children are only born through a union between a man and woman and the child is extremely dependant on the mother since birth, while the mother is quite too invested in childcare to be able to work enough to maintain resources, therefore it makes sense the the person who is half responsible for the childs existence, the father, is the one who the mother and child depend on. Plus a child needs both parent figures, no mother can fulfill both roles. Female teachers isnt a problem, but the lack of responsible fathers is. And like many problems concerning genders, its resulted from society promoting and advocating for hedonism and putting self-interest and instant gratification first rather than valuing honor, integrity, duty and dignity.

      tbf she is coming from a specific perspective. She got well known playing sport, does shit like celebrity treasure island an dancing with the stars, etc. She was a sports journo/sports show talk host an now is getting into actual news (kind of). She might be a greeny but she's no feminist. She comes from a perspective where kids would have made the amount she's done impossible or at least less enjoyable.
      The people she associates with are NZ celebs and retired sportsman who now make a lot of money doing w/e they want. It would make sense if she sees that an thinks of the things they could be doing with their money an popularity.

    • @jordanious7711
      @jordanious7711 5 років тому +1

      @@blisslikethis4090 Idk if you're from NZ or not but it's hard to understand her perspective unless you've grown up here. NZ sportsman tend to be down to earth, humble hard workers. They start families, live quietly despite being insanely rich and popular.
      Hayley Holt came from a similar place but decided against having kids and continued her career in journalism. She's been on reality shows, talk shows, comedy shows. She see's all this stuff she's doing as a blessing, it gives her meaning. And then looks at all these people who are bigger than her, more popular than her, doing nothing but settling down with families and thinks they'd be better off being as free as she is.
      I feel like theres a lot to learn from that. She comes across (to me) as a child who doesn't fully understand the people around her. She is so free to do whatever she wants that she struggles to understand why doing less but taking on more responsiblity might actually give people MORE meaning in their lives.
      I think thats why she was so interested by JP. He puts that same notion into words. Obviously her questions were pre-planned. But you could actually see her thinking over the things he was saying. A lot of people pointed out that she was taken back by him saying people at 45 without kids tend to feel lonely. I dont think it occured to her that one day she might not be successful. That if whats currently giving her meaning stops giving her meaning what does she have left?

    • @blisslikethis4090
      @blisslikethis4090 5 років тому +1

      Jordanious77 Sure, but she doesnt need to feel sorry for people who have chosen to give up some of their freedom at a certain point in life, so that the next lot of humans can thrive, to shape, develop and nurture the next generation. Most people dont see it as a burden but a great joy is all Im saying.

    • @jordanious7711
      @jordanious7711 5 років тому

      @@blisslikethis4090 No i realize that. But that doesn't mean it's not a burden. Even for people who refuse to admit it and couldn't be happier raising kids, they are still burdened with it. Theres a reason people advice against both having kids and a career.. because it's hard to do both and you're no doubt sacrificing some of the meaning you get from being successful for the meaning of raising kids. We only have so much time, you can't spend all your time doing both.
      Having kids gives people meaning but if every persons ambition came from having kids we would never achieve anything except overpopulation and extinction.
      We want successful people in the world (obviously) What if Einstein had kids at a young age? Would he have still made such an impact?
      Also, some people get meaning in their lives scratching their ass. It really doesn't mean anything.
      Me for example, I am pretty bottom of the row but I love who i am. I get great meaning from every little sector of my life. All the ins and outs are just as important to me. If im 45, my gf breaks up with me an I'm left childless i might consider adoption. But unlike others, I couldnt care less about passing my seed on. Because I realize i have very little to offer the world in terms of my genetics. I'd be far better off adopting someone who needs me rather than relying on my seed for validation, thats dangerous.

    Unless as women we actually experience pregnancy, give birth and raise the child into adulthood and then to see them thrive in society .... we are clueless to the situation. I was told by an MD that I would not have children and to my surprise I conceived at the tender young age of 22. My daughter is now 36, is in her dream job and is now ready to be a mama. For me through life's surprises, for me was the opposite. I'm NOW in my dream job. I can honestly say from MY heart that the whole idea and experience that I have had and continue to have as a mother has been life changing. Life is a miracle and meant to be amazing... long ago I decided and worked very hard to give up the drama, the negative programming and can say now that I have not one shred of regret. Be well, do life the way you decide and go easy on those that have their lives desires that don't agree with your beliefs. Oh, one more thing... learning to understand my shadow and integrate it has been very interesting and good!!

At 38 my response would have been the same. At 55 totally different outlook and deep regret. Some women are genuinely not cut out for motherhood but that I believe is a small percentage.
