Have a rock and roller cart but I’ve smashed my thumbs to many times. Bought a old little hand held cart from a guy at a rummage sale for $5 bucks best thing I’ve ever bought.
Sometimes the more simple the better when it comes to gear. Glad you found something that works for you!
Nice video.. thank you for all the information.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the rundown on how you put your show together.
Any time! Thanks for watching
AWESOME VIDEO!!! I just subbed to your channel because of this video! So cool to see what other musicians are doing. My wife & I live & gig pretty regularly down here in SW Florida, playing instrumental jazz/fusion, use to gig even more before Hurricane Ian hit, it took out more than half of our gigs! Like your setup! As far as rolling carts go, we've been using a simple 'Stanley' roller tool box, been using it for about 23yrs now & never had any problems. We bought it when we were still living bin the Chicago land area. We also have 4 other smaller ones as well, all are enclosed, great to protect gear from rain & snow, they were only $50 for the big one & $40 ea. for the smaller ones. We also do a LOT of corporate gigs ( that's where the money's at. Also have traveled across the states & played in Canada, Mexico & Europe ( Ireland & Belgium ) so I can definitely relate to you, you're doing an AWESOME job & GREAT presentation, you ROCK Girl!!! Keep on gigging !!! Be safe, Rock On & God Bless!!!
Oh that’s so awesome! I really want to do some more traveling with my music again. I’ve been mainly staying around the state the past few years. I’ll have to check out those carts you’re talking about. I’ve never heard of them. I’m enjoying meeting other gigging musicians through UA-cam. So many of us out there.
Great job, you got this done to a science !
Thank you! I just like things to be streamlined if I can.
Hey girl 👧 I just watched your presentation and I am extremely impressed with your singing and playing skills.
(HOWEVER) your videography and presentation skills are absolutely awesome I am thoroughly impressed with all of this.
Hopefully you will eventually go big enough that you can employ some help for your GIGs.
And your reviews of your equipment are awesome you could get some support from some of those manufacturers for putting a plug 🔌 in for them.
Again I am impressed.
Also I love your FORD
EXPLORER !!
I am ford guy at heart and Lynne drives a FORD EXPLORER in her business.
They are my favorite vehicle.
Thank you Michael! I appreciate the kind words. I’m working on trying to get some sponsors. I love my explorer too!
Also I subscribed to your channel. LOVE IT.
Thanks for the video!!
Thank you!
I love you!!!
Love you too
Great, you sound awesome!
Thanks for listening
Well, UA-cam brought me to your channel and I'm so glad it did. Love your set up and just had to subscribe. Looking forward to future Vlogs as really enjoyed listening to you. Christine😀
Awesome! Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
Hey @thechristinedemeo. I loved the video. I am just getting back into gigging and love the gear run down! Do you also use backing tracks to fill out the sound, or are all the parts live looped?
Thanks man! I really only run drum backing tracks on specific songs and I loop the rest. Most songs I’m looping completely from start to finish.
Nice video, congrats!
Thank you!
Nice setup! WOuld be interested in how everything works on your pedal board! How's the subnup working out for you compared to the Boss Oc5? Thanks!
Thank you for watching! I’ll be putting out a separate video about the looper set up with more detail. I actually really like the sub n’up pedal. I’ve never owned the boss oc5 but this little guy was a great space saver.
Ah so enjoyed that, would love to see you using your looper and all the pedals and drum unit. I also use the EV 30m a great PA.
Thank you! I have a few videos of me looping on here if ya want to check ‘em out.
How about a video explaining how the business aspect works. How do you get the gig, (agency or footwork) down payment, payout after the gig etc.
Great idea! I’ll see what I can do!
@@thechristinedemeoI would enjoy that also!
Very nice use of this and great vocals! Are those original songs? You sound great and I am curious if you do not like the drums in the rc600 or if you just prefer doing the drumming yourself for more customization?
Thank you! These are cover songs. I make my living playing covers. I actually do use the RC-600 drums for a few songs that I cover, but for the most part I love being able to customize drums for the songs I play. It feels more natural to me.
Yeah, I can understand wanting to make your own drums and I would love to but how do you get started? How did you learn? @@thechristinedemeo
Just to clarify, the Roland Octapad come pre loaded with drum kits on it. I just know how to play drums so I’m able to eq and tweak them to my liking. I think Roland drums are the more realistic in electronic drums. You have to start somewhere, maybe look into the Yamaha fgdp-50. It’s a finger style playing drum pad. You might enjoy starting on that for doing your own drum sounds.
Was this Hot Springs?
Yes it was!
@@thechristinedemeo I live in hot springs. I moved here like 9 months ago. I was hoping to start playing live solo music here. Judging by your videos there are a decent amoutn of gigs to be had in the area.
Yes, there are plenty of gigs. You just gotta go get em.
As a musician in the UK. getting a commercial gig like that is a fantastic achievement. But, who found you entertaining? No one, and that's the problem with that kind of gig. The organisers hadn't thought it through. To my mind, a Jazz band playing te American Song book would have been a better match.
It doesn't matter how much your gear costs, or how well you sing. If no one is paying attention, what's the point? You got t he gig, and I admire you for that. But, it did nothing for your advancement in your career, Well done for that.
In the UK your act would go down well in a bar. But, in a commercial situation, you were doomed to fail.
Just standing there strumming country songs, won't cut it in the UK, and as you have demonstrated it, neither in the USA
I disagree with your opinion completely. Lol. I had many people paying attention and jamming out to the tunes I played. Also, I barely play country music…. You really shouldn’t assume things like this so harshly. You weren’t there, you don’t know. You also had no idea that I was hired for 3other private events after this, but feel free to keep being negative and I’ll remove you from this channel.
Damn…. That’s a lot of words just to say “I’m a jealous hater” 🤷♀️
@@thechristinedemeo hmmm.. a negative comment, from a musician with no subscribers, and no videos. Yeah, don’t even give this a second of your time. You know what you’re all about, and so do your fans. Have a great day! And keep on rockin’ 😁👍🏻. We’re all Looking forward to your next video!
@@dwstoeckel4740 thank you! I’m just trying to have fun and help others with what I have learned!
@@thechristinedemeo Thanks for replying. I'm pleased that came good in the end, from your video, that wasn't clear, so forgive me for arriving at the wrong conclusion.
My comments were only there to help, constructive criticism often helps, not always well received though, so no offence was intended, and I sincerely hope that none was taken.
