Changing Distros isn't gonna change anything since Proton the program running the games is gonna be the same across all distros best thing you can do is check the Proton db and see what proton settings people have the best luck with.
Sounds like you are trying to work around issues in the game with linux which is already the wrong foot to start off of. Maybe you could try locking the game framerate through wine command line options?
Yeah changing distributions and praying that it somehow fixes an error you don't comprehend doesn't sound like the best solution and most of the time doesn't fix anything which is a shame, there are a lot of specific bugs that are never straightfoward to fix in linux as a beginner but very rarely are they distro specific i think
Wtf, totally wrong. The main thing why people have problems is the nvidia driver situation. After changing it for an AMD card everything went how it should. There are like just a few games that do not run well.
lmao no, in general nvidia drivers kind of suck on linux, but after swicthing to AMD, mostly things go well. Just depends on the devs optimizing their games, for example, cities skylines 2 has an awful optimization even when using with an nvidia & AMD card. Though, I won't deny, there are some games that can't run either because of anti-cheat (which there are a few of anti-cheats that work on linux, it just depends on the devs once again)
Bro there is literary 2 games that DO NOT work for me on Linux: Rainbow 6 and Starfield (some nvidia driver shit (but game is shit (i expected space, space travel but got loading screen out of the plane) so i didn't tinker)) There is literally thousands of fellas with Steam Deck and they do not have problems (except Anticheat). Games that i currently "play" (have installed or played) (there is shit ton of work, so i play sometimes): Minecraft (Java is native) Cyberpunk 2077' Enter the Gungeon' Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition FNV Fallout 4 Fallout 1 Fallout 2 Fallout76 Into The Breach NieRAutomata Superbrothers Sword Sworcery EP The Witness Noita Witcher 3 (after and before update) Space Enginners Factorio Deep Rock Galactic (Rock `n` Stone miners!) Terraria (native) Oxygen Not Included Tom Clancy`s The Division Final Fantasy XV Project Zomboid (native) CS1-2 (native) World Of Tanks (was funny to install) (and other shit that i do not remember) Just open proton db and look up any game is gold and more then game just work, is silver then you may need to spend like 5min to try different settings (proton).
Recently made the move to Linux and out of the 200+ games I own there's like 5 that don't work 2 of which are Early access and the other 3 are because of anticheat.

Have you given Ghost Spectre a try? I'm curious how does it hold up compared to gaming on Linux

If i was 15 i would try learning a new OS. But i prefer to use something that i know how it works.

cute kitties
Anyone claiming to have a good experience gaming on Linux is either lying or playing like 2 games.
