A tour of AFN Bremerhaven in Germany. AFN (American Forces Network Europe) serves the military who are stationed overseas with radio and television service.
Afn hat mich durch die 70er begleitet und mich als werdender Musiker Inspiriert.Ich vermisse die Leute und den Sender.Danke für Alles! Frank Denrick George Ghiani❤
It brings back memories for me too, I found AFN be accident one fall day way back in 1974 while looking for something to listen to in our farm workshop in Northern England, I liked what I heard with programs like Casey Kasem's country countdown along with songs and music we never heard on British radio and also hearing how life was in the armed forces ( I have never been in the military) I never thought then that 45 years later I would be married to an American woman and living in the USA!
Thanks for this great document, Michael. AFN served the Bremerhaven community, but I picked it up for many years in Denmark and even pulled it in sometimes up in Norway. 1143 AM "The Power Station" will never be forgotten...
Nice. Seems this was shot early in 1987, so I would have still been there. 606 TCS 1984-1987. Good times on & off of CSK, in Bremerhaven & NDL in general.
This is pure memories. Sp White and Williams hanging waiting to go on a shoiot or working to do shift work on the TV board. I wonder where they are today.

Joe retired from the Reserves. He has a government job in public affairs in DC. Moe is living in Alabama. He and Georgia are still together.
That brings back memories.
Same here Brian. I was there in AFN B'haven in '84 to 86.
@@josephadentI believe we actually met once, not long after I got there in late 86.
Many greetings from Bremerhaven and merry christmas!
