Great video. I felt like you were talking to me at the end as I am sitting on my couch, on my phone....."get out there ".....I live in the Colorado Rockies at 9,000 feet with adventure 5 minutes from my door and here I am playing on my phone. Time to get out with the family on a hike!
You know I love this choice and noticed it the first time you wore it in a video. My GR1 has been around the world with me and has never let me down. GORUCK is an amazing company for so many reasons. Thanks for sharing all your customizations. Love the bungie on the outside. Great idea.
I have had so many backpacks throughout my life and my GR1 is one of my all time favorite packs. I also use camera cubes, I think most camera bags look dorky and attract way too much attention.
So. Here I am - came for your Q2 content (which I really really love by the way). It is the first time I heard of GoRuck, Rucking and all that stuff. Then today I stumble over an article in one of Germanys biggest newspapers about this "Rucksacksport"... This is so crazy. Would love if you could link all the interesting stuff below the video (like this "daisychain" thing on the side). Thanks for all the great inspiring and interesting videos!
Great video Ben…you keep sharing and I keep grabbing (not the models 😂)! Just ordered the Pelikan 1010 for my XA (traveled the world with me since 1985)…I have the original case that also holds the flash but not use the flash now, making the XA loose and the case is longer of course. I have the same fstop insert you have that holds my Q2, M7, XA, dji Osmo2 and some accessories…very similar setup! Looking forward to your new video! Be safe. Cheers..
enjoyed this Ben, some cool kit how do you find travelling with film and going through airports with x-rays, do you just take the film out and wait longer? Shame about losing the leather man, I'd be gutted if I lost mine. thanks for your hard work and enduring those flies!!!
Thanks Wally, I put the film in a little zip lock bag and pass it over to be hand checked. They always have no problem with it. I have TSA PRECHECK so it’s always fast getting through. I have however lost a LOT of leathermans and knives going through when I forgot I had them on me. I lose leathermans all the time. Eh.
Have you ever used any of the anti-theft camera bags like PacSafe? I’m curious because I’m planning a trip to Europe sometime in the next year and know that pickpockets can be a problem in the bigger cities from the last trip I took.
I haven't. And I've traveled through some rural and urban places in Europe and Africa where there is a lot of theft. Situational awareness is always key.
Great video, I just purchased the Peak Design camera cube small & medium and trying to see how they’d fit in the GR1 & GR2. Subscribed and hello from Brisbane Australia! 🇦🇺 Have you tried an Akubra hat?
@@adventureStaley have you ever owned a GR2 34/40L or GR3 for camera use? and what was your thoughts? You must try an Akubra! A piece of Australian heritage and culture. The cattleman is the classic Aussie staple and a great work hat for outdoors.
Very nice to watch and interesting to see you share your experience of your equipment! Thanks again Ben ! Have a great day ! Greetings from Switzerland ! Ps maybe had a Swiss knife to your kit, always useful ! Just Kidding or not... ;-)
@@adventureStaley Great !!! I think the idea is excellent Ben !!! So awesome ! This way you will have a bit of Swiss genius with you all the time! ;-) Warm Greetings ! And looking forward to following your new adventures, always so exciting !
It’s not water proof or even very resistant. Should have mentioned this. I have a little dry cover in one of the pockets I put over it in the rain or on the deck of a wet boat. It’s a cover I cut out of one of my old lowepro bags. Works fine and is super light.
You should check out the WANDRD PRVKE backpacks. Super versatile camera bags and they have the roll top which can be clutch in many situations. Thanks for doing this vid tho! Definitely gave me some good ideas of what tools I can add to my travel kit.
Great video. Love to see EDC content from real professionals.
Thank you sir

The daisy chain and carabiners are definitely something in adding to my bag.
🤘🏻

Agreed. Thanks!
Great insight into your EDC! Thank you! Bart
Thank you buddy
Great as always. I’m intrigued about what you are filming these videos with Ben.
Thank you. Most of the recent stuff is with a sony fx3
Wicked overhead cam in the field. Next level dude. :) Thanks for doing these vids Ben. I know it’s a lot of work.
Appreciate that Tim.
Thanks for a great video.
For a next-level belt that gives you more protection to clip-in but still less than a harness, check out a "Riggers belt"

Thanks for watching! All that stuff can she found with a quick google search. Make it your own!
Do you think you should add some bug spray to your everyday carry essentials? 😀
HAHAA

Thanks Chad

Thanks for all your videos, this one especially. Did I miss what size this is? 21L or 26L. Not sure which one to purchase. thanks again.
Thanks Pat. 26L
@@adventureStaley Thanks. I'm going to end up owning a Q2 if I keep watching your channel. ha

Haha! Thanks!
Has this bag been water resistant enough for you? Do you ever use a liner dry-bag?

@@adventureStaley Thanks for the confirmation. I had one of those from ~2015 and was always annoyed that the fabric soaked through in the rain.

I’ve looked at those and they are a contender. Thanks man.
Hold on,.. how did you fixed your pouches in the pack?
thanks
There are Molle loops inside the pack. I think i put some text on screen to explain. Thanks for watching.
@@adventureStaley haa, there's molle inside, great. Thanks
Is your GR1 the 26L?
Yes
do you have a PO BOX to send a small gift?
I don’t Joe, thanks.
You carry 4 knives? Maybe a little too much. I work as an ENG / EFP soundguy, and I never needed a knife.
You talk too much. Please get to the subject, you waisted have the post jabbing non-related stories
