The Ryu player in last match gave me PTSD. But for real though, this kind of playstyle is so hard to deal with. Jumping all around the place and throwing random fireballs and full screen tatsus. For some reason, I find it super hard to deal with.
You don't expect anything that Ryu does will work, but it does anyways. IMO it's such a fun playstyle to watch, but going up against someone like that is infuriating.
Not with Chun tho, at any moment she could’ve zoned a bit more and built meter for a super or ultra punish for fireballs. Also the Ryu never anti aired and got hit by almost every jump in the Chun-Li did. The Chun-Li player’s kinda dumb for not seeing that the Ryu has a lack of neutral and fundamental skill.
That last fight with the Gandhi-esque Ryu and that Chun-Li was painful to watch. At literally any moment, Chun-Li could’ve forward jumped or just used Ultra to punish a fireball...
6:05 DAWG back when I was first getting super into USF4, I got SOOOOO mad at people who played like this. There was this one guy named GayRyu who played exactly like this. I legit broke my first Qanba Drone over matches like this. And now seeing it in retrospect (like 3-4 years later roughly), it's kind of funny to see people win very solidly like this.,.. happy to say I no longer get that salty about losing, but it sure taught me to stay humble and respect the funny online players. Also goes to show that with the right decisions you can make damn close to any strategy you want work.
@@Dokurofan well ok so? That literally works against all frame traps with gaps bigger than 2f. That's the universal frame trap counter, it doesn't make frame traps fake
@@risemixFGC You said everything was plus, I just said that it was not the case. I should have used the word "loop" instead of frame trap, because that's what I was referring to. My bad... By the way, It's a really weak corner pressure if you think about it, because if you're fighting against someone who KNOWS how it works, you'll end up grabbed during your own phase, and put in the corner.
@@Dokurofan But it actually is plus. Fireball when uncancelled is only -2. The gap between st.MK and Fireball is small enough that a 3 frame normal will be interrupted. That makes it plus "enough." By that logic you should never use frame traps because anyone who knows you can get back thrown out of them won't get hit by them. It is real pressure and it is really all plus. The counter is to stand tech it. If someone knows about stand teching it, they'll beat realize what's happening after 2 reps or so and throw you. But that doesn't make those couple of reps any worse at catching someone hitting buttons. The problem is that most gouken players don't try to convert off of it. The fireball counterhit is like +9, you can link all kinds of things off of it.
Wasn't sure how this was going to be funny but it was! Except for the last match. Anytime I fight a back jumping shoto I get so irritated. Seeing Chun win during that match would have been funnier because that Ryu was freaking obnoxious.
Lmao at least that guy player let him finish the whole taunt
Nope
Look man, always respect the Dan taunt super.
Dan op
Nope
He let him finish though
Unless he has Ultra. Don't get backstabbed. Or should I say Shisso Buraiken'd or Haoh Gadoken'd.
That last Ryu 😂😂😂 jab jab - throw. Random tatsus. Walk up from half screen away and throw. I know that Chun was mad as hell!
Good to see that Elena's healing nonsense put to rest in the first clip itself.

Same here is.. like you have no idea what he is doing because nothing makes sense.. the worst players are the most dangerous
@@bjavierduke Yep not use to how the usual play style is throws you off I would have trouble with mashing Maxis in soul calibur
That shit is why I play Gen. You wanna be froggy? Cool. Eat a raw 60% ultra

Oh no, the fake Gouken blockstring strikes again !
What's fake about it? Everything is + lol
@@risemixFGC There is a hole between close mk and fireball, you just have to mash grab to get out of Gouken's pressure
