A very busy day in the Southern Highlands - September 4th, 1999.

Scenes recorded around the Southern Highlands on Saturday September 4th, 1999 of a various diesel locomotives hauling freight and passenger trains. The main southern line had just been re-opened after being closed for two days due to a derailment south of Goulburn, causing the volume of rail traffic to pass through the area on this Saturday to be much greater than normal.

I caught an XPT down here not to long ago about a few weeks ago, me and my dad caught it to goulburn, we checked out the roundhouse and watched freight trains and Xplorers go by
