@@EndritVj Ah 🙂 I've been interviewed in a company about how I solved problems on my previous company and when I explained to them in details and draw the diagrams (I was ELT ODI & OSB consultant at Oracle, doing multi million dollar project), the interviewer who were senior people there look "😕🙁". Seems they didn't understand at all themselves, but they didn't ask any question other than what is this and what is that. They asked how much salary I want. And then few days later they said no. But they didn't give any reason.

I would love to be interviewed by Elon Musk. I was taught young in my apprenticeship, to never come to the boss with a problem that needs solving, but rather, come to your boss with the solution. That changed my life!

      Sounds sad and rough...
Right now the sun is shining in the afternoon and it is cold out in my city.
I am not sure about my future but I have some general plans and a long To Do list to complete in 2022.
Do you have any plans or things you should do to help yourself live better?
      Are you in physical danger?
If so, please leave and get help now!
      Are you in emotional distress?
Are you haunted by past events?
      Or fearful of the future?
You can overcome this by having hope for the future and working towards that by figuring out what will make you happy or give you a sense of purpose and satisfaction, then doing things that align with your insights.
I probably missed, but I wish you well and that you heal ot get to heal your wounds and recover in mind, body and spirit in 2022.
Lastly, if you can, go for a walk each day and just enjoy ftesh air, being outside and breathing while wind blows and sun shines on your face.
May you live well beginning now!
(if you aren't already, and if you are, great!)

It’s the simplicity of knowing what you know, and knowing what you don’t, but also knowing a lot so you can have a strong understanding of things, and knowing that you do. No one knows everything or has perfect understanding, there is no such thing. It’s all about our *intimate relationship* with uncertainty. It’s an intimate, principled relationship with first principles of your own legitimate, empirical familiarity. When I interviewed for sales people at the bank, one of the skills I looked for were a persons ability to read verbal cues. Sales involves picking up on cues. If the person I’m interviewing just has a prepared speech then they are going to use a prepared speech when pitching a potential client. In sales you must listen and let the potential clients’ verbal cues drive the conversation.
For example I interviewed a guy that got fired from an employer for an indiscretion he made that anyone could have made given the fact that fraud was being committed against him and the bank. So I told him how i once had a bank take a loss due to my error and I explained to him what lesson I learned and how I was fortunate to not have lost my job because upper management protected me. The verbal cues here was the fact that I let him know that I too made a blunder that almost cost me my job. I also told him what I learned from the mistake. So then I asked him what lesson he learned. All he could say was he was fired unfairly. He failed to pick up my cues. Had he been listening he could have said what he’d do differently. I was less concerned with the details of his mistakes and more interested in knowing if he could pick up my verbal cues.

@@Phillips1758 unfortunately I could not for his unwillingness to be humble and take ownership for his mistake. That’s a must for me. Believe me when I say I gave him an easy opportunity to take that route. I believe he had a fairly new born child and I felt bad for him. I was willing to over look it.
The good news is I am still in touch with the person that I hired. This was over 10 years ago and we both no longer work for that company. He met his now wife at the company and they have a child that turns 11 next month. He says I always protected him at that job and that hiring him was one of those events that changed his life. He was fairly new to the industry but not to sales.
Let me just say I am no amazing employee. I got to where I have from my communications skills and a lot of street smarts. The thing that drives me the most is helping people in their careers. Not something you’ll get hired for saying in a job interview in which sales is involved. But I feel lucky for having had the opportunity to help further people’s lives. At least I can lay my head down at night and fall asleep with a good conscious. Banking has become a brutal career no matter what company you work for.

I certainly am not suggesting I’d impress Elon but I’ve always interviewed well in my career in banking. I always gave my trajectory from a bank teller to a bank manager. Then I also go into the details of challenges and how I overcame them.
Most importantly I would present myself in interviews reflecting the technique I used in presenting myself to potential banking clients. If the bank is looking to hire you for sales then the best way for them to envision how you are in sales is to use your personal sales technique in your interview.
Over a decade in sales and I had like a dozen stocked blurbs I’d wedge in to most sales presentations. I’d just wedge those into interviews. For example, I’d tell potential clients at the beginning of a meeting that not every business is the right fit for our bank and that our bank is not the right fit for every business. In my interviews I’d say something similar like I need to make sure the bank is the right fit for me as much as the bank is making sure I’m the right fit for them.
He has a very practical and real world approach to interviewing someone.
