Thanks Sam, it's funny I'm not really happy with it, even after some eqing the subharmonicon's a bit all over the place and the reverb too Also I felt it lacks a nice bassline and the levels of some samples of the movie are a bit weak. But thanks, I feel like with the deluge you can't get a real bad mix, it just lifts your standards! I'm far from your mastering tho, really jealous of the quality of your tracks!
Thanks, much appreciated! The Deluge was my second synth ever. I had bought a mc101 for lockdown as I was moving away from my guitars, and after 2 weeks I wasn't happy with he Roland. I watched some videos and discovered the Deluge, I HAD to order it. And it has been an amazing ride. As for samples and looping it needs a bit of time because when you don't use it much you forget the process. But easily enough you get the manual going. And for all the rest... what a great synth. Of course I would advice to get the Boards of Deluge synths packs for starters, as those sounds really help getting hooked with the Deluge. And the Zoia, I haven't had it for a long time and use it just for fx as well but it's insane! Have fun
@@TristanBaldi Yo you got me hyped. I'm most excited for the live looping (I'm a guitar player as well) synths, and sampling features. I've been messing around the the Pocket Operator KO for lockdown and loved the sampling workflow. @@shuttlebunnies you should be hahaha! For looping, there is a pretty straight forward video on UA-cam that is pretty easy to grasp. I have a deluge and digitone keys, im really liking the look of the zoia. Did you have the Zoia sending effects to both the subharmonicon and the deluge or can it only be one at a time if you want it to be in stereo? Thank you, very cool video
Thanks! I have the input of the Zoia hooke to the aux send of my mixer, and then the two line out going back to the return channel. Both the Subharmonicon and the Deluge are connected to the mixer, and I apply reverb from the Zoia to both by sending them to the aux channel. The Zoia has two mono in, two mono out. So you can hook two mono synths to or hook it to a mixer to apply the fx to whatever channel of you mixer! I hope this makes sense!
@@TristanBaldi There must be a way to get stereo to benefit from ping pong delay at things like that right? That made sense yes thank you. So if you had both inputs going to the deluge you could get stereo effects right?
Thanks man! Yes I'm using midi here, just to send the clock! The deluge is not sequencing the Subharmonicon. Enjoy them they're really something special! I yet have to really discover mine ;)
@@TristanBaldi Thanks. I am going to have a good go next week. I’ve seen you are on the same Facebook page as me so I might pick your brain at some point!
Great Sound! I like the Subharmonicon and tried to copy this concept of playing sequences with the Deluge. Finaly i have got an interesting result by playing three sequences with different length to a monophonic synth at once. This is probably not the same way as the Subharmonicon works. You know the subharmonicon much better. So i would like to know if the Deluge can cover the sequencer concept of the Subharmonicon?
Thanks! what is very interesting with the Subharmonicon and that the deluge can't do is polyrhythms' the sub has rythms dividers that you can stack to get crazy variations on both sequencers for example. Deluge can do polymeter ie playing sequences of different lengths but not polyrhythms (I hope I'm correct here, not the best to this). But polymeter is really fun on the deluge as well, it's just different!
@@TristanBaldi The Deluge can do Polyrhythms for sure. Probably the Subharmonicon is polymetric which means the speed of the sequences can be divided or multiplied. To copy this concept with the Deluge might be difficult because the breaks between notes are at least 1/16 or multiples of 1/16 in polyrhythms. In polymetric rythms the break between notes are stretch like on a rubber tape.
@@G4Nazarener Well yes, the thing is that on the rythm section (there are 4 of them), you can divide the clock for each sequencer multiple times. The fact that you can stack those rythm dividings gets you crazy sequences.
