This guy is a total genius. This is a song about how hard and troublesome life is, and it's still a song that is played in clubs as a happy song, while the ones who dance to it are exactly the ones the song is about, depressed people troubled by problems, who need to dance a bit to forget about it.
Isn't that the club experience though? A bunch of people, high on collective euphoria (and possibly other stuff) dancing to enjoy the moment and forget their lives.
To be fair only French speakers understand the lyrics obviously. But I guess that’s the beauty of the song, everyone focuses on the perfectly written melody.

That means French exists in the Arcane universe, which would actually make sense because modern English owes a lot of how it sounds to William the Conqueror taking over England in the 11th century and French becoming the aristocracy's language for the few subsequent centuries; so if not whatever that universe's Battle of Hastings, there's a chance the characters' language would be much closer to modern German or Danish. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it. Regardless, it's fun.

The bassline itself isn't actually that 'out there'. It reminds me a lot of Deep House basslines I've heard. (I mean from around 2013, current DH has very little to do with what it was 4 years ago). It's mostly the sound design of the bass that stands out. Sound design is very important in his music (and all pop) and he's done very well with this one, but if we're just looking at the bassline itself there isn't a whole lot going on. It does have a nice rhythm.

be ready, Stromae is releasing a new album in March 2022!
wouldn't be so sure
I like that stromae songs aren't only catchy but also have deep lyrics and each one of them is talking about a societal issue.
I don't understand the song but I know that those days where good days.

ALORS ON DANSE 🥳🕺
Man, that bassline made the history of music.
Xael Gasai true.
The bassline itself isn't actually that 'out there'. It reminds me a lot of Deep House basslines I've heard.
(I mean from around 2013, current DH has very little to do with what it was 4 years ago).
It's mostly the sound design of the bass that stands out. Sound design is very important in his music (and all pop) and he's done very well with this one,
but if we're just looking at the bassline itself there isn't a whole lot going on. It does have a nice rhythm.
shut up pls thks
Get the hardstyle on then ya wee blouse

Creo en que las melodías como estas nunca mueren, simplemente himnos que marcan épocas!
