Hey, my mother's side of the family has always gone to the Clara's Pizza King there in Richmond off of NW 5th Street. Place is always consistent and its only been a better experience as our family has grown. I remember when us kids always wanted to be inside the doubledecker bus they have inside the restaurant. Always good memories.
The Pizza King on McGalliard in Muncie has a little salad bar, which is delicious, especially the cottage cheese, which I think has chives in it. I also love the Royal Feast and large subs.
I'm from Muncie and I love our Ring the King version! I went into one of the West version ones once and it just didn't feel right. No red phones, no antique lamps, and the smell of the pizza was all wrong.
I agree with you! I am from Muncie as well...always went to the Surbutban (Wheeling) location. When I went to college in Evansville, I was ecstatic because I was close to another one...until I ate there. It wasn't the same. Nowhere is like Muncie!

I wondered what was going on. I ate at the Pizza King in New Castle a couple of weeks ago and had pan pizza. It was very good but I couldn't understand why I had never seen pan pizza at the Pizza King restaurants where I grew up in Kokomo or anywhere else in Indiana. Also they had the phones at the booths to call in your order to the kitchen and their breadsticks came with dilled butter already spread on the sticks. I guess I don't spend much time in Eastern Indiana because I live in Northwest Indiana now. Now I have to go to Medaryville or Rensselaer or North Judson to get to the closest Pizza King to Northwest Indiana. Also Arni's in Rensselaer is good!

There are more than 1 Pizza King out of the state of Indiana ! I know of at least 7 in Florida ! ..one is in Ft Myers, Boca Raton, Daytona Beach , Green Cove Springs, Largo, Margate, Miami !

I also have much love for Pinball and I got my start at "The Shack" on Big Barbee. The family went every year and stayed in an old bus dad converted. My sisters and i have very fond memories of Lake Barbee.

All ground everything for cheaper cost. All the lowest quality ingredients from a can or a bag. All served to you for 35 dollars a pizza. What a great Indiana tradition! Also their breadsticks are 5.99 pre tax. Over 1.20 for each individual stick.
I went to Italy and did an excursion where we made our own pizzas. I essentially made a royal feast. The chef and tour guide both took notice and said that it looked good. I bet later they made their own.
The red Pizza Kings, where you ring the king is the way to go. Pizza king in the eastern side of the state is FAR superior to Wendalls. Anyone who thinks different is wrong.
The west branch doesn't require measuring cups like the east side does. One of the reasons for East's better consistency. I do delivery driving for the Syracuse, Indiana store. While it's more expensive than Pizza Hut or Little Cesars, it's better quality and quanity. We have lots of loyal customers, many who go out of their way to eat here. As a delivery driver, I'm glad there's lots of people that think it's worth the price. I stay busy and make good tips because we don't charge any delivery fee, so most people are generous.

I'm near Daytona Beach in FLORIDA -- I miss Pizza King!!!! Their subs are the best. Sure do wish we had them down here.
