Thank you for this video! I was trying to get the hot water to dispense to melt the tablets, as you show; but when I select "hot water" I'm prompted to change out the frother attachment with the hot water attachment. Wondering how you were able to dispense the hot water from the frother attachment to melt the tablets?

Great question!
Before I start the cleaning process on the display screen, I add in the milk clean tabs and simply dispense hot water from the machine (without putting the hot water spout on).
Then, once that is done, I move forward and go into the milk clean process on the display screen.

What frother do you have that takes the stainless steel tube???

The 0.6 L cool control is being used in this demo video, the HP3 milk pipe is compatible with that.
Within the metal milk pipe is the silicone tube that your machine would have already come with.

Is it safe to say the E8 has the newer automatic milk cleaning system?
Hi Chalk,
Yes, the E8 has an updated newer milk clean cycle. The E8 will dispense water to dissolve the milk clean tabs and then pull clean fresh water from the tank.
The process on the S8 is still great and easy to complete. The E8 models were revised in 2021, therefore, have some updated processes.

The machine will ask you to clean 'immediately or later' after brewing milk based beverages.
It is a very easy process. If you are going to be enjoying numerous milk-based beverages throughout the day, you can complete a milk clean once at the end of the day.

looks like once every day if you make milk based drinks. This is a downer. That tab thing is going to be a hassle.
@@tgoel It's a pretty simple (and necessary) process. With proper maintenance our last Jura machine was close to 10,000 servings. The new tabs are a little expensive though.

I have to admit, I frequently forget to clean the milk tubing. it gets gunked up occasionally... BUT yes In general you do need to rinse water through the milk tube somehow every day. I usually just disconnect the tube and squeeze the parts of the tube containing the gunk (usually one or two) and then flush them out with water. this opens the passages and allows the tube to work again. The machine parts need to be cleaned less often, like monthly it sometimes gets gunked up. I have used the machine for over 3 years using this method. It may be slightly less sanitary than cleaning every single day, but the milk is steamed and coffee is piping hot so bacteria is minimized.
I thought you used only one cleaning tablet........
Hi there, the Jura machines have 3 maintenance aspects.
1. Cleaning tablet - this goes into the 'bypass chute', its purpose is to clean the brewing unit
2. Replace water filters when the machine informs you too
3. Conduct milk clean cycle (one dose, as shown in video) at the end of the day when the milk frother is used
