MORA - SANCTUARY OF BROTAS - TORRE DAS ÁGUIAS | ALENTEJO | PORTUGAL

Mora is a municipality in the district of Évora with 4135 inhabitants crossed by the famous N2 road that connects Chaves to Faro. As it is a transit point, it is a town abundant in good restaurants, with typical Alentejo cuisine. The Church of Nª Srª da Graça, from the 17th century. XVI was the one who gave rise to a very curious nickname for the inhabitants of Mora - "scarabs"; and the reason is the fact that its bell tower is located opposite to what is usual, behind the church.
The Brotas Sanctuary is an iconic spot in the Alentejo, as is the Pavia Dolmen, converted into a chapel. Another place shown is the Torre das Aguias
