Babies Dream of Dead Worlds is actually a pretty beautiful and haunting narrative. It explores a world that's about to end-- the concept is basically hinging on "what do babies dream about before they're old enough to have memory?" And it hypothesizes they might dream about the worlds that came before this one. I played it years ago and was absolutely fascinated.
You’ve got to cover Cookies Bustle! It’s actively being erased from the internet by this guy named “Ukie” due to copyright claims and it’s really sad! It’s a old 90’s cd game with a lot of charm and love put into it, even having the voices of Doraemon and many other notable Japanese VAs. I can’t find any of the cutscenes or gameplay on UA-cam or ANYWHERE.. vinesauce played the game but that was taken down and he even made a video about that… PLEASE BRING THIS GAME TO LIGHT! We can’t have it lost to the void!!!
The Zamboni game is very likely based on a game called Zoombinis, where you take these strange creatures called Zoombinis on an adventure to Zoombiniville, inevitably losing some along the way

These games & concepts are really cool to listen to & the first video is how I found your channel. However, I sincerely mean it when I say that I could listen to you talk about anything for hours. You have a great narrating voice & the subtle comedy really makes your content enjoyable. Sorry for the long comment, I love the content though.
Kinda surprised Kowloon's gate for ps1 is not in the iceberg given how obscure some of the games in here are, makes me wonder how many crazy games are still out there which few people know about. Great video, definitely checking some of these out!
fatum betula is actually one of my favourite games, there’s a lot of cool worlds and interesting puzzles, fun characters, about ten endings, idk it’s very cool i love it
I’m not very far in but The Illogical Journey of the Zambonis is def a parody of Zoombinis: The Logical Journey. It’s the same levels and everything! What I want to know is what Zoombinis did to hurt that developer, or was it just serendipity that “zamboni” sounds so much like “Zoombini” lol Super excited for this video. Loved the first one!
After watching this the second time with a friend, I remembered what I wanted to comment I was also happy to see the Squirrel Stapler on the list, knew the game from the dread x collection, such a cool game. Nice to see The Dark Eye here too. Tho a thing to note: Modus Interactive didn't made Squirrel Stapler, that game was made by David Szymanski, same guy who made the games Iron Lung and DUSK. Modus Interactive does have some cool games too, I really liked Iketsuki and Anomalous Research Department. Btw I also played The Club MMO long ago, even tho I was almost fully alone most of the time, it was really fun exploring the place and finding little secrets, sad that it never got more traction. And yooo you are working on a game-- thats awesome, I'm definitely interested in that! Anyways love the vid! Im so glad Kanoguti is on the iceberg, his stuff is a rabbit hole in of itself just going through his loads and loads of art, music and games, one of his games, Intelligent Rackety Paradise was featured on Vinesauce but I actually found out about his stuff from a remix of one of his songs, "Snails", I HIGHLY recommend his music, they range from weird, noisey and experimental nonsense like Empty Melody to some pretty good ass bangers like Contradiction of Miyori and Regeneration, that being said it often has this tinny midi sound to it that may not be for everyone

Anodyne 2 completely fucks with its own format mutliple times, and even tho the game overall has a really peacwful vibes as u explore the environment and interact with npcs there was a section that scared me so bad i couldnt stop thinking about it for a week. Also dujanah, its rlly short but it has fantastic stop motion visuals and an interesting story and message
45:31 I'm sorry to say it, but I think you completely missed the good part of Bubsy 3D: Bubsy visits the James Turrell Retrospective. After the museum part it gets really good, and dare I say it, surreal.

I'd like to recommend the Black Souls series, especially the second one. The gameplay brings Dark Souls mechanics to RPG Maker and it's pretty cool once you figure out how it works. It takes inspiration from old literature like Brothers Grimm fairy tales, Alice in Wonderland, and the works of HP Lovecraft. It's hard to go too much farther in depth without spoiling, but you keep realizing everything you know so far is a lie as the things you encounter get increasingly strange. It's complimented by a rough sketchy art style inspired by the Touhou youtube horror series Koishi's Heart Throbbing Adventure. Similar to Saya no Uta, the series is categorized as H-Games so have 18+ content in addition to the horror and violence. If this is a concern, those scenes can be disabled without problems. The first game is neat but mainly just necessary to know what's going on while the second one is where it gets good. If that makes playing through the first game seem unappealing, there are full playthroughs on youtube with and without commentary. The series is so cool but due to explicit content I never get to recommend it to anyone. The dev regularly posts dev logs while working on the games too and they are cool to read.

It features a transgender female Bubsy. Also, ponies. And explicit content. Like, R-18 explicit. It's as much of a mess as you'd imagine it is. Look it up if you dare.
