Absolutely Incredible video Alex!! It makes me so proud to be a Torontonian seeing what a truly amazing subway & transit we have through your eyes! TTC is not like any other in the world!!!🌎👏😉💖
It’s easy to get caught up with the little issues and conveniences of the system, but overall it really is a solid system that will hopefully continue to see its network and services expand over the coming years and decades.
@@AlexGetsAroundTO I live in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. We have bus service that runs to Biddeford, Saco, OOB and Portland. We also have a new long service run that hits farther parts of York County. Besides that we also have the Amtrak Downeaster. In comparison: The city of Portland has a much better bus service than my area does.
Apparently, the airport is now defunct, it was an air force base and it had been a testing facility for Bombardier Aerospace until they sold the facility in 2018
Most trains don’t go past that into the tail tracks, some of them do though but the crew onboard would have to announce it going out of service and would scout the whole train to make sure no one is onboard. It is impossible to do so but chances are you’ll get stuck if it happens
what I don't get is why they want to take out the RT so bad. 30 years of service is nothing compared to the subway, if i am not mistaken the subway has existed since the 1940's
The subway has been here since 1954, but as the RT is 36 years old, it’s really getting worn down with vehicles and infrastructure and it’s really expensive for the TTC to maintain everything!
I agree with you but unfortunately, when it was proposed back in 2006, it was very costly. The infrastructure would have to be significantly upgraded and the tunnel between Midland and Ellesmere would have to be widened for that.
and I think some people want a single continuous line out to STC, as opposed to having the separate line and transfer that only runs a couple of stations.

@@AlexGetsAroundTO wait have u seen jhonny strides?
22:47 TOO FULL! "We're doomed!"
Imagine winning an award for making this video... I'd give one. This is a masterpiece
Wow thanks bro
@@AlexGetsAroundTO no problem man
I need to visit Toronto again one of these days. Probably one of the best public transit system in North America.
It used to be actually, nowadays it’s not so much but still lives to the hype in some ways
@@AlexGetsAroundTO I visited back in 2017 and compared to my public transit it was pretty impressive.
@@SgtSnazzerino If you don't mind me asking where is your public transit located?

@@AlexGetsAroundTO No problem! I love it already!
Great video. Thanks Alex! I watch Johnny and Ken, and now I am happy to catch your videos
My pleasure Sanjay!
Would you do something like this again when lines 5 and 6 open?
Perhaps
@@AlexGetsAroundTO ok
If downsview airport is not for passengers, what is it used for?
Apparently, the airport is now defunct, it was an air force base and it had been a testing facility for Bombardier Aerospace until they sold the facility in 2018
@@AlexGetsAroundTO oh ok
GOOD JOB ALEX!
Hey Alex. Does Toronto have just NovaBus or other busses as well. In the city that I live which is around Toronto, we have only NovaBus.
We have plenty of Orion and New Flyer buses as well
@@AlexGetsAroundTO Does Toronto have any Gillig buses?
Wait just a second if you were going northbound to sheppard west station why didnt you take that train at 4:35 .
Because I wasn’t done explaining my motive and wasn’t in a rush
@@AlexGetsAroundTO ok nice video by the way
Amazing video Alex I think you should do one of these videos again
Good job dude keep it up.😀😆
36:46 what did you mean by a " card"
Info card, this allows you to link a public youtube video (or suggest a video) for viewers to watch. I don't do these anymore.
@@AlexGetsAroundTO oh
Have you ever ran into Ken or done videos together?
I have twice
@@AlexGetsAroundTO oh
Awesome video, Alex!
Thank you Ken!!
Isnt the second platform on the line 4 portion of Sheppard Yonge Station used for trains going out of service?
Yes, mostly during the late evenings to end of service
@@AlexGetsAroundTO that's what I thought
nice thumbs up and good day
I went to Eglinton West Stn for the first time today
How many total stations did you visit?
Seven
Holy this was long, I make videos and livestream too in Toronto and other road trips in Ontario. I didn't make any this long yet.
Thanks for subbing, yeah I know who you are. I see you in the chat of Johnny's livestreams sometimes....also I think you live in the same area as me!
@@AlexGetsAroundTO Did you know that I am going to post a video from Scarborough Town Centre to Vaughn Mills mall this Christmas
This was a great video!
Thank you!
@@AlexGetsAroundTO, can you do a counterclockwise version of this, this time including the full route of the 985 Sheppard East Express?
@@APetrus-r5x Maybe in the summer, no promises
Wow awesome video! Wasn't Johnny at Scarborough Town Centre around the same time as you? I saw that you appeared in his stream I think
Yeah I interacted with him while he was streaming! That was before I left STC
That’s cool
Its 2023 and the LRT Still hasn't opened yet 😢. It will open in "2024"
Indeed
Watch it get delayed again
It's 2024 so no news yet
@@kr09942 seeing how they kept pushing it back makes me think it'll be delayed
Well, there's a high chance it would be open in late 2024
Nice! BTW I live near Scarborough Town Centre.
what happens if you stay in the ttc after finch or don mills or kennedy or any terminal station. Could you film that or is it "Dangerous"

I didn't have one at the time, now I've had one since October
