I'm 42, I listen to a whole plethora of music genres, but Jungle will always have a special place in my heart, you're spot on about the unity in the music. I grew up in south London, I went into the care system in around 94, aged 13 and initially ended up in a temporary placement in Clapham, opposite the Winstanley estate. @sine wave totally agree, I was born late 80's but when this started out and was in full swing I was old enough to listen to these choons. Good times. - Where I am in southampton we had a pirate radio station but like many, got shut down.

That's cool! As an Oldschool Junglist I say go for it. The roots of Jungle are awesome to discover. Sooo much good stuff in the 90's. Just enjoy and be happy that you're young and dance until you drop!💖 Junglist Massive!
Good man. I appreciate n respect people that know their good music. I love The Prodigy Techno Punk DnB Proper raw jungle I wish you all the happiness with music. Its true to my heart❤. It gets me thru life. I don't know what I'd do without it. Life wouldn't be the same.😢😅

Big up all the London pirate radio stations that played this music you'll never be forgotten. Kool FM, Weekend Rush FM, Eruption FM, Rude FM, Conflict FM, Cyndicut FM, Don FM, Rinse FM and many others. Jungle will never die!!!
@@jasonhardy4207 The beauty of it was that the scene in Bristol was thriving also in Manchester, Birmingham and Leicester. It was a wide spread UK thing. Formation Records in Leicester. Dope Dragon and Philly Blunt Bristol, Metalheadz label in Wolverhampton and so on!!
@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio Before that era, between 85-88, I listened to alot of Hip Hip on the Bristol Pirate Radios. I would go over to record shops in Bristol and buy the American Imports. It was the best days of my life. I got my musical education from the pirates. Reggae,Soul, Funk And Raregroove, house and Hip Hop.
@@jasonhardy4207 I hear you bro!! There weren't many big Rappers in the UK until the early 90s with London Posse, Klashnekoff, Ty, Blak Twang, Mud Family (Skinnyman and Co). The 80s was a beautiful era. In fact in NYC pirate radio stations helped promote Hip Hop over there and we followed suit in the UK. In London it was more of the Reggae sound system vibe and AfroCaribbean communities influences during the 80s before the advent of Acid House.
@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio I would get a buzz about finding a Pirate Radio on the F M dial. Sometimes had coat hangers on the ceiling to receive a better reception. Internet radio just isn't the same but times have changed dramatically and in music too. I was a huge fan of the Demon BoyZ and M.C Duke back in the day. Bought their records after hearing on the pirates.
Junglists salute! I haven’t written on here for a while but note a few negative comments recently regarding the frequency of advertisements on the video. I'm really sorry about this but it’s unfortunately out of my control. The record labels that own the music are monetising the mix (not me), hence the ads. A shame really as the music should be for everyone and should flow as intended buy hey ho. The good news is I just purchased a new set of 1210's so there will be more content to come once I’m back up and running! Whooha! XD Thank you all for the huge response and overwhelming positivity to date. The comments have been amazing. Peace Sterlin

You’d get a flyer from a friend, show up a few days later at a warehouse with dj’s playing music like this, dance all night. Sun comes up, the word spread, head to the after party. That’s how it happened, good times, beautiful people and moments.
Best times of my life. I’m not quite as connected in the scene like I once was, but I do my best to keep up. Going through my mom’s basement a few years back when she was moving I found mad fliers & trinkets. I’m an East Coaster so I primarily went to parties in CT, NJ, MA, NY & ME but I’ve travelled all over. Will always love me that roughneck ish. ☮️☝🏽🫶🏼
Junglist Salute!! It’s a been a long time between drinks folks but very happy to confirm that another ~2hr Jungle/DnB mix is on its way and will land in the next few weeks! Thank you again for the overwhelming support and for hanging in there all this time! I’ll be producing more content over the coming months so keep it locked! Peace Sterlin 👊
in 90s i was between 1-10 years old and even now, being 31 i still dont wrap around my head where all this time gone and every year the time seems to go faster and faster.
I was a very late bloomer when it came to jungle. The beat patterns differ what made it unique and you can switch it on a dime.I first caught on to jungle back in 96 when Virgin opened up a mega music store at Times Square in NYC. I thought the arrangements were madness (mind blowing). The beats and sounds were sick (awesome). Only one station in NYC gave time to play jungle music was WKCR (Columbia University). The show was called Concrete Jungle that aired every Saturday night from 9-10:30pm. This was truly music for the underground.
The sounds of a time never to be forgotten. Went to my first rave in 91. Didnt hear jungle until about 93. Spent the next 10 years of my life going to parties every weekend and I mean every weekend. I live in Florida and at the time the scene was vibrant. Drove up and down the state following the music, the culture and vibes. JNCO jeans, snow goggles on my head (but to the side), sun visor and comfortable large shirt and sneakers. We looked like freaks and we owned it. Really thought we were going to change the world. It was one beautifully enjoyed decade and also one profound waste of time 🤣 ....dont let the scene die.
What the hell just happened?! I'm a dusty old 46 years old but just reverted back to being an 18 year old raver lol. Kiss on the cheek for one of the best mixes I've heard in a long time babe 💋
Seriously, I'm 43 n I just about changed into my glitter/Adidas tracksuit/shelltoes already tripping on memories from back in the day, Junglist fo life! "Grew" up in the rave scene of New England and NY in the 90s..
Im a time traveller and im also 42,000,000 years old and i just came back to 2024 to listen to this mix! In my kitchen raving on my own loving this jungle
I was a rave kid down in Florida in the late 90's into early 2000's. Truly some of the best times of my life. I moved to SC and practically no one listens to dance music let alone jungle/drum n bass. Just rap or country or both. SO much garbage. I'm 50 now and I'm still in love with jungle drum n bass and old school dance music in general. Dance forever!!!
I am 53 in London. I miss the old rave days, jungle Drum and base and big hard house . No guns no stabbings, no bad gangs , no BLM, it was peace, music dance good E’s, love. Today it’s pure evil here ! BLM want to kill white people. Why do they hate us all ? Since George Floyd died , BLM movement is now here in the UK, they are dangerous, Marxist, paramilitary movement. I would give my right arm for the old rave love dance days !! 💟💟💟😘💫💫💃
I was NYC raver/clubber, 43 this year! Ugh lol to be 16,skinny, high and lost in the bass ... feeling it vibrate through your body (cuz you're either sitting on the speaker Rollin, or with your ear up to it- thx for the lifelong tinnitus) best feeling ever. Don't regret a second of sneaking out of the house! 🤣👍
Blessed to be a witness, in real-time as these dropped. Comments here from the younger ones who stumbled upon these mixes and tracks are no different then us15-20 years ago, more or less. Truly timeless. It’s incredible how intensely these take me back in time (good times and memories of her are just as lovely) It’s of my opinion that the only reason the gods haven’t wiped out humanity for war, greed, pollution, racism etc is because these dirty disgusting creatures created jungle. Jungle saved us all lmao.
This is like a history book for all Junglists to relive their youth, but also for any youngsters looking for music to get lost in. I’ll always love these sounds no matter how old I am. I remember being 16 and sparkin a spliff to these tunes🔥💣 Thanks for the upload 🙏🏽
Good mix. Just want to emphasise that without Reggae, Jamaican DJ & sound culture, style of chatting and freestyle there'd be no D&B or Jungle as we know and love it. Salute people and Happy Independence 🇯🇲
These were my halcyon days, south London.. Labyrinth..Marquee... Roller Express.....Hype, Groove Rider... Slipmat....Doves....Rhubarb and Custards!!! Happy days...Jungle never dies..

Ape Escape music brought me here. I'm 30 years old. Drum n Bass was among the best genres that stuck out to me. It taps into the primal, wild side of the human spirit.
Oh yeah, Ape Escape's OST *does* have a ton of drum 'n bass! I never thought about that until now, lol; what brought me here was Bomberman Hero of all things!
In the mid-90s, I lived around the LA area and I would work day-labor jobs during the week just to make money to go to underground warehouse jungle parties on the weekends. I miss those days. When I saw R.A.W., Machete, APX-1, or anyone from the Mictlan Crew on the flyer, I knew it was gonna be a fuckin good weekend, lol.
These are the best times for raving! To all the ravers back then and still bussing these tunes, then yr all amongst the 'original' DRUM N BASS N JUNGLE WILL NEVER DIE OUT WHEN IM 50 60 70 80 I WILL BE STILL BOOPING HEAD HARRRDCORE!! 😅😅😅😅😅😅 bet u will 2!! Love n peace all. ✌🏾
i remember seeing this video 4 years ago and clicking off based on the FIRST SONG. i thought this kind of dnb was boring. man i was wrong. i now appreciate all kinds of it. jungle is what ive been trying to get into the most. the same style i forsaken when i first got into edm. very ironic. some ludicrous songs on here! 👾👍🏾
It’s 2020 and I’m loving this! Listening to it with my two sons aged 8 and 6, they are really into it too! Thank you for uploading this and providing all the tracklisting. Takes me back to a well spent youth. Happy days!

My new neighbors in the apartment above me have been making lots of noise late at night the last few days. Tonight I will be playing this full volume until 6am to give them a taste of their own medicine
Oh my days!!!! Best days of my life !! 43 years old this year but hearing these tunes makes me want to get the crew together , drop a few doves and dance all night to this. Nice one for putting this together x
Same age here, remember illegal jungle party in germany with an half pipe build inside an unfinished skyscraper heavy jungle beats an live rappers passing the mics freestylin...stoned... Early 90s

I WAS THERE - rightin the thick of it London late 80's early 90s. Time of my life. Thanks God there was no social media. Takes me rightback - made my week. Appreciate the work you out in.... raw. just took be back to those crazy days.
Top Buzz, Grooverider and Fabio. Simon Bassline Smith, Ratty, LTJ Bukem etc... I was there too Lisa. Started with the acid house and house and then slowly it graduated.. I hope your well? any spare smarties? haha!
I’m from S florida and the mid to late 90’s were the best! The Edge, Mars Bar Jungle Nights, so many others which are a blur now. I’m 46 now. I love that I was a part of this amazing scene.

Finally, a jungle mix that is actually jungle . Most the time when I type in old skool ragga jungle mix it comes up with 2010 tunes n stuff lol. Respect 👊🏼🔥
This is what I came up on.. Real jungle drum an bass. The 90s era was proper the whole scene was proper. Those old enough knows this. Mitsubishi's, Doves, Dollaz, etc.. Respect for the mix my G......
All started for me as a teenager in my basement. Up late stoned watching MTV Amp television, been rocking ever since. One of the best genres ever created ✊🏾🔥 the 90’s were amazing.
I rarely comment but had to give a nod from one Junglist to another. Thanks for the mix and the extra effort taken to list tracks, tag times and photo the plates. Respect.
The tune selection and mixing really shows that this chap knows his tunes. Some really clever drops and blends, the sort of stuff you'd not notice if you were at a rave but when listening at home it's properly clear. Nice one. Remember me and lighter mix was proper!
Shivers all over my body, first 15sec in, Junglist from Toronto, those were the days, when we all loved eachother, we were all humans, enjoying life.. thank you so much for this...can't believe I just found this...Safe Journey everyone...
Everyone here keeps talking about how they like this just ’cause they lived at the time when this was popular. I’m 17, I just found this recently and I genuinely enjoy this more than most of the newer dubstep and dnb
Lol im 18 ,and jamaican discoverd jungle while researching about dub n lee scratch perry etc n found it . Theres a few of us youngsters who like old school music
The 90s jungle. The whole scene was proper bk then. I'm glad I'm old enough to experience the real golden era of jungle. Those old enough knows bout this.. 💯💥👍

Ridiculously spot-on excellent from all angles. 1994 was my first raving year, at 14. This is suuuuuuch a joy to listen to. Nuff respect and tremendous appreciation!
Can't wait to get back to these raves when the doors to freedom finally open - Massive respect to the old school DJ'S keeping real jungle music alive - Brockey, nicky blackmarket, ragga twins, Andy C, DJ Hype, Shy FX.. to name but a few.. I've never stopped listening to jungle music! 40 next week, but will always feel 20 jumping to these tunes!

Oh the memories that I had long forgotten, just came flooding back to me, THIS was my genre of choice when I started DJing in 1994 & ran a night called 'Welcome To The Jungle' at The Catfish Club on Brighton Seafront. I only ran it for about 6 months as the door money didn't cover the hire of the equipment, so was out of my own pocket, but so much fun while it lasted. I switched to other genres when Drum & Bass got too dark & started to draw a moody, troublesome crowd & it wasn't fun anymore :( Hearing this, brings back the fast, energetic chaos, that I loved so much, I two stepped on the dance floor for hours & went home with blisters on my feet & a smile on my face. I've STILL got about 17 of those tracks played in my vinyl collection. Nicky Blackmarket is playing in a club local to me in Plymouth on Friday, so I'm pretty sure I'll be playing this style more often. Think I've got a whole different idea of what I want to be producing in the studio now. Thank you so much for reminding me how awesome this is xXx
I went to one of your nights, 94 was my first year a bton uni. Wow...what 4 years i had there, The escape, the loft, alley cats, and not forgetting the concorde and Legendary Zap. Not forgetting the paradox with Babylicious nights. Miss those days. Unforgettable, and glad i was there to enjoy the thick of everything
Think I remember them nights ,I also went to legends of the dark black absolute class I'm bouncing around the house cleaning having some right flash backs lmao respect!!

That's cool! As an Oldschool Junglist I say go for it. The roots of Jungle are awesome to discover. Sooo much good stuff in the 90's. Just enjoy and be happy that you're young and dance until you drop!💖

Big up all the London pirate radio stations that played this music you'll never be forgotten. Kool FM, Weekend Rush FM, Eruption FM, Rude FM, Conflict FM, Cyndicut FM, Don FM, Rinse FM and many others. Jungle will never die!!!
I used to listen to Roni Size, SUV and Die on the Bristol pirates in early 90's.
Whooha! XD
Thank you all for the huge response and overwhelming positivity to date. The comments have been amazing.

Welcome to the future, friend. :)
Now it seems like we were a lot further ahead back then. Innit?
in 90s i was between 1-10 years old and even now, being 31 i still dont wrap around my head where all this time gone and every year the time seems to go faster and faster.
@@DurhamBell agreed 👍
In the early 90s even the year 2000 sounded futuristic. Now it's like, 2000 was the good ol days. 🤪

Im so glad my dad showed me his movie hey guys! 14 yr old prepared to make sure old school jungle music never dies!
Same "timeline" with me... only in Vienna (A) ✊🤜🤛

Jungle saved us all lmao.

only really discovered this music because the gym teacher here in west London (Kilburn) plays it as background for her exercise classes - love it ! I was having kids in the 90s and missed this first time round! LOVE IT even if I am late to the party!
The Moment your music started I felt an old familiar tingle spread through my body and my smile came on as my body caught the beat ...Man THANK YOU!!!
Ridiculously spot-on excellent from all angles. 1994 was my first raving year, at 14. This is suuuuuuch a joy to listen to. Nuff respect and tremendous appreciation!
I’m 14 and I’ve been loving this type of music since I was born as my dad listened to this 🤪😍😍

I switched to other genres when Drum & Bass got too dark & started to draw a moody, troublesome crowd & it wasn't fun anymore :(
Hearing this, brings back the fast, energetic chaos, that I loved so much, I two stepped on the dance floor for hours & went home with blisters on my feet & a smile on my face.
Catfish club omg i remember the underground club i used to go there and the one in littlehampton sterns best times ever ❤❤❤❤
thats what I'm feeling in my studio too can't get enough ragga samples.
If samantha checks her comments she might make some good connections
Think I remember them nights ,I also went to legends of the dark black absolute class I'm bouncing around the house cleaning having some right flash backs lmao respect!!
Was an awesome floor at the partytime 1994-1998. Roggwil, love forever!!
You can hear the experimentation in the tracks, it really makes me wish I was a kid again
I'm a sorcerer of immemorial age and I put this mixtape on to reflect on the mortals that I have assisted over the eons. It takes me back to when the gods blessed me with the word of the cosmos when I was but a wee lad.
