Loggers are underappreciated and over scrutinized for their love of the land, the Logger is the Greatest of Forestry Stewart there is, Wood Fibre is a renewable resource and a shit load of planning goes into harvesting and reforestation of every cut block by all involved of Logging an area to be Logged.
Question - why is your chain sticking or freezing in the cut.
Why don't you carry a couple of spare axe handles in your kit, they can't be that expensive and I know they aren't heavy and are more than likely of better quality then your cheap branches. Of all the things to skimp on you choose the least expensive item. Strange.
