Great question we performed all testing at 15 Yards, that is actually what Ransom and we usually start testing at usually it is more than sufficient to establish a baseline for accuracy and even compare handguns. I would consider doing something like that it might not be an apples to apples comparison but then again nothing really is, but it might be interesting. I do know that at some point we will be doing a 9mm semi auto and a 9mm revolver video and at the very least those videos would be directly comparable even as separate videos. Very interesting video. Probably I missed something but could you tell me the distance to the target (25 yds?) and the size of the black of the target (..the smallest one)?
Glad that you found it interesting, it is a little different than what we normally do but we thought it would be interesting to work with Ransom on this project. All the testing was conducted at 15 yards. If memory serves me correctly the big target was 12" and the small target was 3" or maybe 4" but don't quote me on that as we filmed this a while ago and those were Ransom international's targets. Good video. I might have missed hearing it in the video, but was all the ammo 147gr? I will have to look for more videos that compare 115, 124, and 147gr ammo. A few weeks ago I was sighting in a RMR on a FN 509 and the cheep 115gr ammo i was using was significantly to the left. The 147gr was pretty much at point of aim. Thanks for the video.
@Articjackal all the ammo used was 147 grain military spec ammo from Federal the same stuff that they are making for the US military. I personally am a big fan of the 147 grain bullets in 9mm they seem to be more accurate and usually hit more towards the point of aim. I have some ideas, I don't think a lot of the powders they use are available in canister form though but there are similar ones. It is easy to get caught up in the weeds trying to duplicate the components when it is actually much easier to duplicate the ballistics. I would suggest starting with a powder like Power Pistol or Accurate No. 7 and work up to an average of 1,037 FPS with a 147 grain FMJ and you'll be duplicating the ballistics. Hopefully that helps you out, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! --Jeremiah

At some point I would like to do more testing at 50 and maybe even 100 yards with certain guns we have featured on the channel but we try to keep things consistent so folks can compare one video to another. The M17 has had an extraordinary amount of sear malfunctioning causing injury to many people. The sear drops while in the holster.A Minnesota police department is in litigation right now with 3 discharges of this type and there are hundreds more. The guns are not safe and not that accurate from what I saw in the video. A big mistake from the military going to this weapon.
I have heard of the sear malfunctioning issue in the Sig P320s. It is my understanding that these issues have since been resolved with updated and upgraded parts. From independent testing I have heard that the issue has been resolved with the upgrades. Upon inspecting my 3 P320 handguns two in 9mm and one in 10mm I have had no issues and everything internally seems to be working correctly which should render it drop safe. I don't see this as an issue for the military and if anyone would have a problem I think they would report it and replace it if need be. All the reports thus far appear to be from unupdated guns. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out but at this point I can't say that I have encountered any of these issues. --Jeremiah
Weird, since most, if not all, of these fake glocks have some kind of firing pin safety. You need two problems at the same time to make the gun go off. Except for the russian GSh 18 (wich is too different from everything) I don't know a modern striker fired without firing pin safety.

You need to manually adjust the aperture on your camera . The bright background sky causes the main subject, the people, to be too dark.

I would limit all ammunition to standard US.mil ball.
I’ve got 124+p and 47 hst’s in my 509trmr pmm..loaded 400 124gr xtp’s with cfe also..
