I ordered a system for my F30 and had a local BMW enthusiast install. He took a couple hours to get it all installed and buttoned up. It works great with no issues.
Installed the kit on my 15’ x5 and it’s constantly throwing a pcm light. Rewatched the install videos multiple times to chase the issue, but all the pins are snuggly fitted back into the sockets. 🤷🏻♂️
You do know that in most states a flashing 3rd brake light is technically illegal? The alteration of the 3rd brake light violates the technical language of the operation and standards. While not a pull over offense, and most LE do not know it, enforcement can be an add on violation.
The fully technical details - Under the Federal regulations in the United States, motor vehicles must be manufactured so that the third brake light (or "center highmounted stop lamp" as we call it) and all other stop lamps are steady-burning when they are in use. After the vehicle is sold, Federal law prohibits any manufacturer, dealer, distributor, or motor vehicle repair business from installing the sensor to modify the performance of the third brake light and cause it to flash. However, Federal law does not prohibit the owner of the car from installing the sensor. In this circumstance, the law of the State in which the vehicle is operated must be consulted to determine whether a flashing third brake light is permissible.
@@gremlinking1948 Flashing top mounted brake lights are literally built into cars… You must not have ever noticed it, but if you brake hard it flashes to warn people behind you that you’re stopping hard. You can modify taillights but they must be visible from 500 feet.
I ordered a remote start kit and called bummer techs authorized installers. They are saying it takes all day to install and cost $700-$800. There is a major disconnect on the time this actually takes. Even if you watch their video, the installer struggles to complete the install. This definitely isn’t a detailed video and seems more to be a paid advertisement. Do your research people. I don’t and I’m now returning the product.
DON'T DO IT! I bought the BummerTech kit for my 2020 X3. What a total nightmare. Their written instructions were not accurate for my car and their "tech support" service was a joke. After wasting days exchanging email messages while they made guesses about possible solutions, I finally managed to get the mess installed. Not only did it NOT WORK, multiple systems in my car stopped working: navigation is gone, volume knob doesn't work, turn signals are now silent, satellite radio is gone, TPMS doesn't work, oil monitor doesn't work, and an error message continues to pop up on my touch screen saying "Used, not activated components detected. Some functions may be reduced. Have problem checked by your service center." So, yeah, I've got reduced functions. I removed the remote start kit, but all of the problems remain. Looks like I'm going to be paying the dealer to fix whatever BimmerTech broke. If you want to F up your car, BimmerWreck remote start kit is for you.
Man I’m glad my guy instincts took over and decided not to do it. Even their authorized installers said it’s an all day process and costs $700-$800 to install.

Great to hear! 👍
No remote start for G11 after reading some of the reviews that might be a good thing!?

The x5 might have a different pinout from the 435, be sure to follow the doc from bimmertech on which wires to tap.
Awesome video! Do you have an updated Coupon Code?
Thanks! glad you enjoyed it. 👍 I don't have an updated coupon code at this time unfortunately.

Car dealerships by me actually pre-installed them on cars just like pin stripes and rust proofing
No it isn’t
@@fthirty3 They will take profit overlegal. It is federal statutes that state altering brake lights is illegal but no one enforces it

This was an easy install. Only takes a couple of hours. Not sure why they would say it would take all day.
Sorry that you had all those issues, my experience so far has been good. No issues at all with my installation
@@fthirty3 thanks. Maybe their authorized installers are trying to get over. One said $700 and one said, $800 to install.
Wow, is that on top of the cost of the remote start unit?
