  • Husqvarna MZ6128 Deck Belt - How I Changed the Mower Belt Myself
Today I changed the deck belt on the Husqvarna MZ6128 zero turn mower myself. It has to be the easiest zero turn mower deck belt to change. I did not know how to change the deck belt on a zero turn mower. Took about 30 minutes.
Watch how to change the hydro belt: • Husqvarna MZ6128 Hydro...
I got my belt from where I bought the mower. Paid $89.97

There is a tension spring that you can crank to relieve tension for installation. Makes the job very easy.

    Great video!
My mower had wrong size belt. Took a couple seconds to get up to speed. Had to use a socket to turn the spindle cause that bitch was tite. It chirps a little now but the blades don’t bog down. Thank you for that.

You should have used a 9/16 socket wrench on the tensioner pulley which allows you to use leverage against the spring. This will give you the slack you need in the belt to more easily get it around the last pulley without the threat of getting your fingers punched.

Mine does not have the 9/16 bolt, therefor I will have to change it as per the video.

Ever had to level it? I can’t figure out how the front is adjusted

Have not had to level the deck. I have found cutting the grass at 4 1/4 helps keep the grass green and look level.

The idler pulley is in the back on the left side that you put the belt on.

With a glove on reach under the deck and turn the blade for more leverage.
