I'm 60 and my husband passed in Oct of 2022 and I wallowed in my grief for a while and then in June of 2023 I finally started my journey to change my whole life over...I was 400 lbs and was using a spoon to dig my grave. So far I'm almost a year out and have lost 125 lbs so far doing low carb and intermittant fasting...not done yet but am a lot happier where I am from where I was...
I'm 58 and my husband died Dec. of 2022. I lost weight at first and now am blowing up, fast. I am confused. I am a sugar addict but I am not eating any more than I used to. You should be so proud and keep up the great work!
@@EnchantedIrish Thank you I'm trying and stress and cortisol may be hurting you and I had to go to OMAD because of hormonal issues or wouldn't be losing very well either...dang menopause lol
I would give the whole world to have a Mom who loved me!! She never missed a chance to remind my sisters and I how we had stolen her joy and were not wanted! Not one kiss, not one hug my ENTIRE life!! You look beautiful and I love little Desi. See you next week Susan, take care. Marshia Thomas
In 2006 I was 50lbs overweight & in February just 3 month away from my son’s college graduation I woke up & decided that is it I am not going to his graduation not feeling good about myself so I also made my own dieting plan mine was simple I cut carbohydrates & sweets & drank a lot of green tea I also started exercising at home 3 month later I went to his graduation 65lbs less & looked gorgeous in my size 6 suit my son & our friends were shocked no one recognized me I remember sitting with my husband in a restaurant & a friend & his wife came in & sat at their table my husband went to them & asked them to join us they asked him who is the woman & where is his wife !!!! When they came to our table they screamed they could not believe it is me minus 65 lbs 😄. Forgot to mention 18 years later I kept the lbs off I don’t call it dieting I call it way of life I changed my way of eating
My mom struggled with her weight most of her life, but when I think of her, I don’t even consider her size. I think of her sense of humor and her dedication to me every day of my life. ❤
I've been eating "Carnivore" since mid-February. I've lost 8 pounds. It's easy, and I don't know if it's eating mostly beef only, or coincidence, but most of my hip pain has subsided. I do "cheat" with an occasional handful of blueberries or raspberries. And an occasional piece of dark chocolate. I think the only reason I've not lost more, is I haven't been taking in enough water. My husband has terminal cancer, and has not eaten regular food for several months, so cooking up some beef and that's all I have to prepare. Very discouraging not to be making a meal any longer. But this works for now.
When you’re telling the storing of your Mom worrying about embarrassing you at her wedding, it just touched my heart and made me cry. I feel so sad for her. If she only knew how lovely she looked. I was naturally very petite until I had my first child. 5’4” 105lbs. I went from a size 0/2 to a 12. What I had taken for granted so cavalierly was gone. My self esteem was shattered but I gained a new empathy for people who struggle with their weight and their poor self image. I did manage to go back to 105lbs for many years until menopause got a hold of me, now I’m in the struggle bus lol. I’m about 14lbs over my ideal weight and I will definitely try the cacao. All this to say we need to be kind to one another and not judge, we have no idea of the inner struggles of others. Have a wonderful week Susan and Desi! I miss Desi’s singing.
It is awful to feel like your child will be embarrassed to have people see your weight gain at an important event, like graduation or wedding. Been there, done that as they say. I gained a huge amount of weight in my 40s and fifties. Could not loose it. Hunger is not something I appreciate . In recent years I found better ways to eat and look more like I want to. Very little hunger involved. I encourage everyone to keep trying.
You are so lucky to have had your mother in your life for so long. I lost my mother to cancer when I was 18. She was diagnosed when I was 13 and fought hard to live long enough to see me graduate from high school which she did, passing that following year. My life would have been so different if she had been in it to guide me through the hard times. I had to find my way alone. I’m 72 next month and I still miss her tremendously. So I understood when you got emotional telling this story of your mother. We never stop loving them and will always miss them.
As far back as l remember my mom was overweight. I never thought about it. She had dark blond hair (until it turned gray/white) and bright blue eyes. She said to me one day, "You never complain about my weight." "That doesn't matter to me. What matters to me, is you are always there for me. You always help me look my best," l told her. I miss her greatly,
Dark chocolate has tons of magnesium, that is why it is so helpful. Pure, quality cocoa powder can be added to plain yogur. Dark chocolate is a super food!
It’s lovely to a woman of my age on UA-cam- talking about normal things that we go through in our latter years. It brought back memories of my adopted mother who loved me so much and gave me so much. She would give me her last dollar. She came to my wedding in London and was beaming. Thank you for appreciating. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My momma weighed 212 lbs and was around 5’2”. No electric dryer meant clothes had to hang on the clothesline along with our unmentionables. Mommas panties and bras, too. The kids from my school walked by laughing and said your mommas underwear cover the back yard! They didn’t. It wasn’t true. But they laughed anyway. I learned to never make fun of anyone’s weight. It hurts, too much.
I think your mom looks great! You can tell she is so happy and proud to be standing next to you! No one will ever love us like our moms! I miss mine everyday!
I had so many tears in my eyes watching your vlog. My daughter got married April 26th, husband had just left me after 32 years but I was determined to look my best for my precious daughter. I lost a little weight, could have lost more but did my best. Her photos came back this week and my daughter said Mom you looked so lovely and on every photo you are smiling so much, she was very proud of me! Thank you Susan this touched my heart xx
For my wedding 25 years ago I look back and see my mom. I was so lucky she was here with me. She wanted to lose weight and have her eyes done. I wish I supported her more. I just didn’t think she needed that. She was beautiful to me. She didn’t have her mom because she died when she was little. My mom passed 7 years ago. I cry and miss her so much. She struggled with her weight and getting older, but I told her I was proud she was my mom and she was with me. Now I’m struggling with my weight - after breast cancer, hysterectomy and colon resection. Getting older - I’m 58 but feel 108. I keep hope and watch you to bring me up. I miss the one lady who really knew me and thought I was the bees knees. I keep hope. That’s the one thing we can’t lose. We have to keep it - when I lost my mom I thought I was going to die. I did, a little. I just recently realized I kept hope, even if it was in my back pocket. She wouldn’t wanted me to throw this life she gave me away. So I must get up off the floor and start to live again. Little baby steps. And watching you. You’re my UA-cam girlfriend. Thank you.
Hi Susan, you are looking great! Know that eating fat actually makes one feel satiated. Stimulating insulin causes weight gain, not loss, just look at diabetics on insulin. Fat in your diet such as full-fat greek yogurt with blueberries , eggs and cheese, and your turkey or any meat and fish can keep you feeling full and low sugar content. Do not buy low-fat yogurt--it has carbs and sugar to substitute for the fat, read the label carefully. Chocolate is good, if dark and high cocoa content. Also, the FAT that keeps one feeling full and the protein helps too. Watch your portions. This is from a nurse on intermittent fasting and uses it as a lifestyle. I eat twice a day and do not eat if I am not hungry. Desi looks so handsome in his checkered bow tie tonight! What a love he is!
Hi Susan…I can’t imagine eating chocolate even if it is cacao in the morning but if it works for you then I won’t judge🫢 my first few bites of food first thing is protein especially after my workouts. Oikos yogurt 20g protein don’t worry about the fat, low fat isn’t necessarily better. Whole cottage cheese 👍 good protein. lol you’ve opened a can of everyone’s advice and opinions!! Good luck with that hehe.
Wow about the dark chocolate - I melt mine and swirl it through my high protein yoghurt with a few chopped nuts - I’ve lost over 50 pounds through removing processed carbs and sugar and having 2 meals and a small snack within a 8-10 hour timeframe - I have another 50 pounds to use - take a look at Lifting with Cee on UA-cam - strength training is still one of the very best things to increase muscle and fire start our metabolism. I find prioritising protein and fibre at all my meals has helped me lose weight
@@gloriasaliba3395wow. That’s impressive! Sounds like you’re doing great. What would you suggest in place of the yogurt for someone who is lactose intolerant?
Hi Susan and Desi! I am so proud of your stamina to lose weight. I want to share with you my weight loss journey because you played a major part in my motivation and desire to start life again at 65. I had given up trying to be happy and sunk into despair thinking I was now too old for any good. Watching you grow as a woman in figuring out life at our age, inspired me to do so too. Since May of 2023, I lost 90 lbs with the Keto diet. I was a diabetic, had a fatty liver, my lipid panel was very high, and I too, got fed up with my lack of self-control. I was eating myself into the grave. I was 250 lbs and growing sicker by the day. I was on meds for diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and asthma. I had to wear a c-pap at night so I could breathe. Unbelievable!! I prayed and asked the Lord to give me the strength and passion to change, and he did! He led me to your channel! I dove into the Keto program with intermittent fasting, high fat/protein, and low carbs. This lifestyle change clicked with me, and food lost its control on me. I only ate when hungry which was many times one meal a day. The weight I lost was inflammation first and I would lose about 7 lbs a week! In one year, I am now diabetes free! I take zero meds, my metabolic panel is all normal, and I no longer wear the c-pap. My energy is never ending, and I go, go, go. My tastebuds have changed, and I no longer crave processed foods. My life and attitude have drastically changed. I went back to work as a case manager and now help foster kids cope with their emotional and mental stressors from their traumatic life. I still have 10 lbs to go to reach my target weight of 155. I love life again and thank God for his goodness and giving me your channel to encourage me along the way. Keep up the good work and perhaps you could check out the keto diet as well. It's a game changer. Have a great week and I'll be watching for you next Saturday.🥰
I can understand how your mother felt. At the start of 2022 that was where I was. I was 78 years old. After back surgery, I started to lose weight,. I'm at a plateau right now, after losing almost 100 lbs. So, here I am weighing much less, but it's not all good. I'll be 80 in about a month, but the weight came off strangely. Over the years, I have shrunk 7 inches so the middle of my body is much sorter than it was. I have lost weight all over, but like the area around my shoulders now has bones showing, I have lost 13 inches around the hips because now I have no shape around my backside and I'm pretty straight from my waist down. Very strange. As I have mentioned at other times, I wanted to lose the weight because I had back surgery because I couldn't walk. I'm still having trouble walking but it's OK. I'm just thankful that I am still here. You were lucky that your mother was at your wedding. My mother passed away 60 years ago this year and I would have been celebrating my 59th wedding anniversary this year, but my husband passed away 14 years ago. I miss him terribly, but he was starting with dementia and also had several strokes. He is in a better place now. He had been sick for 10 years when he passed. Life is strange. We just have to take and deal with what we have been given. You will be beautiful at the wedding, whether you lose more weight or not. You are already beautiful. Sending Light and Love to Everyone who reads these comments. ❤🙏❤🙏❤
I can’t believe you covered this today. I’ve been stewing all day about my weight and my daughter’s wedding in July. Early last year I did a whole exercise and similar diet and felt great. Then beginning of August ‘23 I hurt my back. (I’m your age & alone after 34 year) I’ve never had a bad back whatsoever. So all my efforts tanked with my back. So you have inspired me to just love my daughter and family well and hope that’s what they remember. Thank you!😢
Thank you so much for your videos. I am 75 and 100 lbs overweight. My ex husband died a couple of weeks ago and we are having a family gathering in a couple of weeks. I'm so stressed about seeing everyone and one of my daughters has thyroid disease and is 200 lbs overweight, so we are both dreading seeing everyone. Your message about your mother really encouraged me. I keep trying to diet, but am having a hard time. Sorry, don't mean to complain because I have so much to be thankful for, but thank you for sharing, will try some of your ideas. You always look so pretty, just love you and Desi.💖🙏🥲
Sallydalton Please don't feel that way. I can have a cup of coffee, a cup of water my stomach swallow up like I'm 22 months PG. I went to the doctor and I have 3 to 9 months. You never know!! Live your live Sally to the fullest, you never know when your tomorrow is!!!!! I love you all !!!❤ Irene
Not the time to diet or even care about that you LOOK like!!!! TLC yourselves....just take life one day at a time!!!!! It takes a lot to survive when life kicks you down!!!!!!! You can worry about things later when things have calmed down!!!!!
Try keto / carnivore really helps reverse insulin resistance sleep and reduce stress drink 2ater all really help cut wheat sugar and alcohol out if you can ❤
The story about your mom made me tear up. You can see in the photo, the look of love in her eyes for her baby girl❤ She had such a sweet and kind expression. Someone you would want to know. When my granddaughter got married a couple years ago, (outdoor wedding) her other grandma, Nana (Carol) , was extremely overweight, (she was at least 450 lbs). She wore a dress that covered her, but it wasn’t wedding attire. She was in very poor health, so sat way away from the actual seating because she couldn’t walk that far. Her devoted husband stayed with her the entire time. He ADORED her! Her grandkids all just loved her so much, and all of them showed it to her. None of them made her feel less than… She died a few months later, and my granddaughter posted a beautiful photo of Nana and her grandpa posing with them at the wedding, Carol sitting bc she couldn’t stand. Granddaughter and her new hubby went to where Nana was seated, and took some photos, and after Nana died my granddaughter posted that photo and said how much she missed her Nana and that she was so glad and proud that she came to the wedding! It was with great effort for her to do that! It’s not about weight, and it’s not about wearing the perfect dress, it’s how you LOVE , and it’s about showing up. Sadly, Carol will miss the birth of her first great grand baby in June. I too, am at my highest weight of my life, and I do want to take off about 30 lbs. Not so much for looks, but for health, ease of movement and comfort. Sorry so long winded! Susan you will look magnificent, but the kids and grands will just be happy you are there. Trust me❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing your story, God is so good, he's trying to help me look at the situation in a positive way. God bless you, thank you so much for your kind reply and ❤️to my message.♥️🥲
Your story about your Mom reminded me of how much my Mom loved my independence and individuality. She never got to do the things she really wanted to do and lived through me as well. She's been gone 24 years now and I live my life on honor of how she could not live. I know she's watching, guiding, and loving every minute of it.
Mine too!!! She retired at 65, started swim lessons, tap dancing, was a in costume tour guide on the Santa Maria ship . She only lived 6 months as a retired person!!!
I started putting on weight in my 40's. I'm 59 now, and short (5'3"), so it is hard to hide it. Sometimes I feel invisible because men no longer look twice or flirt with me. I'm trying to eat less and be more active. I teared up as you shared about your mom and her beautiful heart and the love you felt for each other. In the end, love truly is the only thing that matters.
Sorry…but your story is identical to mine. It’s sad to be the old lady who’s overweight and no mojo like the old days…in my mind it’s there but the world mostly is shallow and people tend to look the other way if not thin enough or young enough or pretty enough…idk just my experiences lately…😞
I am eating Carnivore (lots of info on you tube) but even Keto works well if you stick to it. I gained 50 pounds in one month back around 2007, and now have only lost 35 of that weight. But I think eating carnivore will help, as I've lost 8 pounds thus far. Good luck, there is something out there that will work for you!
Hormone changes as you get older make losing weight difficult but avoiding grain carbs, like bread, pasta, cakes, cookies, donuts and anything with regular sugar or Sucralose in it, and alcoholic beverages helps lose weight and will make you feel better too. As for the men, I find that keeping aware of what is going on in the world so you have something interesting to talk about and smiling and having a good sense of humor and having confidence, and dressing nice and not cheap or tacky seems to draw most men’s attention in a good way no matter what your age is.
I will be 64 in 2 months. In January of 2023 I was at my heaviest weight (181 lbs). I joined Weight Watchers and by October 2023 I was 50 lbs lighter. It was so worth it and I have so much energy to play with my grandkids and my sweet little Tate (6 year old Shiffon-shih tzu/griffon mix). My husband and I walk nearly 4 miles each day and love cooking healthy meals. We occasionally eat out, but prefer food cooked at home.
Omgosh!! That wedding picture and how you described your mother. It sounded like mine. In 1989 when my brother was getting married I remember helping my mother look for a beautiful dress for her to wear. We finally found one. On the day of the wedding, I remember doing her hair and makeup. She usually only wore lipstick but that day was special. Everything was done. Foundation, eyeliner, blush, mascara etc… and then the dress! It was a beautiful light blue chiffon dress with long sleeves and a silver collar. Along with her silver clutch and shoes, she looked like a model at 5’2 and overweight as well. She looked amazing. And so did your mom!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing the story about your Mom and your 1st wedding. It really got through to me. I'm 74 years old, and in the last two years I've put on 40+ pounds. I thought I'd never gain weight again after I lost 25 pounds in Weight Watchers. It seemed so easy. For the first time in my life I felt that being thin felt better than any meal or my favorite dessert. Then I had to move from y beautiful town, and my 15 year old dog died. We used to watch your channel together! I've been sedentary ever since. It has gotten to a point that my age has caught up with me and I feel more like 85 than 75. Your sharing has been so inspiring that I feel there's hope, and that I don't need to feel ashamed to go out into the world. Thank you soooo much! Your friend, Claudia from California.
You can do it, one little step at a time! I've always been fairly active until the past few years. I had to move away from my fav walking trail and pool, so I don't walk/swim very much now, and have become too sedentary, as well. I'm a normal weight, but have more aches & pains and less motivation to get going. This post is inspiring me to become more active again!
I’m in the same boat so to speak. I remarried 6 yrs ago after being widowed for 18 yrs. I’ve put on 75 lbs in 7 yrs. In 75 years old I was very active but now very complacent. Rather stay home and not socialize anymore. I pray I’ll overcome this and get my life back 😢
I am a diabetic ( of sorts). I almost died from taking Metformin. I had several doctors tell me to stop eating and told me that POWs lost weight by not eating! My biochemist son, saved my life! He figured out that ANYTHING that I ate … my body could not process…. At all! Long story short… I had to train my body how to process food! My lifestyle had to change or I would die. I had to cut my carb intake to 5 carbs a day! ( that was 5 yrs. Ago before all the Keto products came out!). I ate 5 carbs a day for 30 days… and drank tons of water!! My new eating plan was chicken , eggs and water!! It was so difficult to do! I just knew that if I had one more egg,,, I would start to cluck and lay my own eggs!!! Gradually I was able to increase my carb intake to 20-25 carbs a day! Yes dark cocoa is on my eating plan! At first I had to weigh every thing and the look up how many carb in 1oz of whatever! All the supposed good for you foods… have carbs! All fruits, all veggies and Greek yogurt ( some more than others). Fast forward 4.5 years…. I have lost 148 pounds and have kept it off for 4.5 years! Now that there are an abundance of zero carb HEALTHY foods available…. I can cook just about all of my favorite foods under 25 carbs a day! I eat pizza , spaghetti, rice bowls , smoothies….. and maintain my health, my weight, my A1c and daily glucose levels!! Dr.s are not allowed to advise home remedies if they are not pharmaceuticals!! They can tell you, prescribe for you meds, pharmaceuticals That can “ help manage” your diabetes or other ailments. After 50 years of my mother’s diabetes being in “ remission “. Doctors finally declared her diabetes “cured”!!!! I have a great start in following in her footsteps! Once you find the real problem and find what works for you…. You are on your way to a healthier YOU! I am 62 yrs young and have changed my sad, hopeless supposed future into a fantastic, healthy destiny!
Thank you for sharing your story. It's appalling that doctors advised you to starve yourself. Thankfully your son was able to help you sort your body's processes out and you have been successful in regaining health. Well done!
It always amazes me how in this huge world of the internet, I seem to stumble upon something that really resonates with me! Your comments were so spot on for me! I’m 63, struggled with my weight and starved myself intermittently since my teens. I, too, finally figured out my body just cannot handle carbs/sugar/processed foods. I completely cut out all (even though I’d been pretty low carb for a long time with only maintaining) all carbs and seed oils 6 weeks ago and I’m down 10 lbs. I’m 5’2” so never easy to carry extra weight. This is huge for me. I have researched carnivore diet and it’s so simple I’m following that except having some vegetables (so I guess it’s keto?). I feel so good - energy up, no aches or pains. Why does our traditional medical model keep saying low fat and “whole grains”? No wonder I was hungry for 40 years LOL! I follow Dr. Eric Westman of Duke University on UA-cam. He is reversing diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease with keto/carnivore diet. This should be mainstreamed to our very sick population. 42% overweight/obese in US is a national health emergency. Thank you for your comments.
Thant you all for your kind comments! I appreciate them all! I do hope to inspire others to research your own issues! Research all the medicine that you are taking; especially the side effects!! There is an answer out there somewhere that will change your life and how you live it!🥰
Hi, Susan and Desi. First of all, I just want to say that I miss you and Desi's singing at the end. Anyway, I weighed almost 200 lbs. In January of 2018. So on New Year's Day, I started the Keto diet. I had already planned to start on that day, so I already had the food I was going to eat. After about a month, I had lost inches, and it was obvious especially in my face and my stomach and waist. The pounds were slow to come off, but every few months my clothes size would go down. My goal was to lose 60 lbs. I accomplished that in about a year. But now I weigh between 125 and 130, at 5'4". I drink mainly water for my beverage, and I try to do intermittent fasting, eating nothing for 12 to 16 hours. If I eat supper, I try to eat around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m., and then I can have my coffee with creamer by 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. The fasting is what keep my weight down, and drinking water.
Beautiful story. I today made my decision to lose weight. At 63 approaching and about 25 pounds heavier than 5 years ago I want to feel better and look better for myself. Thank you for sharing ❤
Oh Susan....this is the 1st time in my life I've been over weight...My fault though as most of my life, being a Manager, a single mom, and looking over my Family...during that time, I would pray for boredom with nothing to do or go! Well here I am sitting literally in my answered prayer...You inspired me to put that aside and move on😂
Susan....I have yet to see a UA-cam channel as expertly done.... truly your film talents are off the charts....the music, the "set-up"....the scenes, the sequence, the theme and eventual moral and closure are astounding.....you Work so hard, and your Creativity, depth, and genuineness....are Captivating.....I just must Thank you....again.......and " You look Maaaavelous!"
Karen, So well spoken! I totally agree! She has gained an amazing following as result of her integrity, skill, and hard work. But the most important contributor is her heartfelt love which is so unusual that it’s palpably felt! She reaches into the very heart of a woman’s needs by identifying with them and thus granting them importance and dignity. Personally, I feel her power is in her deep spiritual core and that simply can not be imitated! You got it or you don’t…and Susan…well, you know!❤
@@tonihendrix6652 You are so right....Susan has such a pure Heart...and is So relatable...it's a beautiful channel created by a very talented and beautiful Soul.
I'm 68 and I've been fighting my weight since I was 40. I decided last year to join a gym and fix my diet or my old age was going to be terrible. In a year I've lost 30 pounds. I eat more protein, cut back sugar, and don't overeat like I used to when I was unhappy. The gym had a class that improved my balance and helped me walk better. I have a dog now and walk about an hour and a half a day. I still take my class. I'm happy now and that is the key I believe!
@@carolestone1079 I have MS and it was getting hard to walk so I was gaining weight and becoming very sad. I just knew I had to start moving - move it or lose it - and I had to make the change in attitude.
I’ve made mother of the bride / groom outfits for oversized ladies and it gave me such special joy. Picking the colour that complimented them the most. Full length if their legs weren’t great….a beautiful piece of Chantilly lace on cuffs and neckline, ruching at one side of the natural waist and then for shorter dress styles a simple shift dress with a Jackie O style swing coat….the plan was unadorned elegance and style. These women shone from the inside outwards! Susan you’re looking great!
My Mother was obsessed with her weight. She was on Diet Pills and had bulimia, being a role model for 4 Daughters. Back in the 1970 people did not talk about bulimia, finally graduating from college, I honestly tried to have a conversation about her obsession with her weight. Her response was she was so unhappy in her marriage, her weight was the only thing she could control. Wow! I am so proud to report all my Sisters have overcome the family obsession with weight. They all have successful relationships and careers. We all learned how to reach our goals of a mentally healthy life. Peace and Light to our Mother who passed on March 2, 2024.❤️
I used the app Lose-It to track my calories and lost 40 lbs at 67. I’ve kept it off two years now. I also use intermittent fasting and stop eating around 5:30 pm. That was a game changer and now I eat nothing in the evening when before I used to get up and eat nightly. Just junk. No more! I still have the occasional piece of cake for a birthday, but pretty much no sugar, pasta, potatoes, rice or bread. 1200 calories a day and regular exercise. I track everything, good or bad. That’s the key. I’m a size 8 for the first time since having kids over 40 years ago. Best wishes on your weight loss journey!
I've been 20 to 25 lbs. overweight for 20 years. I was told by my Dr. that I had high cholesterol, high blood pressure and that my spleen might need to come out. She wanted to put me on blood pressure pills and statins which I didn't want as I had heard they could have bad side effects. It made me nervous and I was determined to lose weight and bring my numbers down. I went back to the YMCA, bought a blood pressure machine, a fit bit watch so I could make sure I got enough steps in every day. I cut out bread, sugar, processed foods, and seed oils. I added in more seeds, nuts, beans, fruit, vegetables and oatmeal and brought my numbers down and lost 12 lbs in 2 1/2 months. I feel so much better and I didn't have to get my spleen removed. Like you, I would still like to lose a little more. I love being thinner than I do eating! I'm proud of you, Susan and me! Keep it up! We can do it!
I loved this. Thank you so much. Your mom looked very pretty. I love the picture. I don’t struggle with my weight. But, I do struggle with severe depression. My son got married last Saturday. Oh Susan, it was so beautiful. They had a sorta Renaissance theme I put my thoughts aside for that one day and enjoyed my one and only child’s big day. He is 37. He married a wonderful young lady. He has ADHD and OCD. She has hearing and speech issues. Which causes her to have anxiety issues. But, not because it was my son getting married, it was the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen. They paid for it all. And she took a plain white dress and redid it by hand. It was so gorgeous. I have never been so proud of them as I was then. I posted the pictures I have on Facebook and there were so many compliments. I’m one proud mom. But, now I’m back to my depression. I wonder if the dark chocolate will help. I take medication. Just 19:03 seems like it doesn’t help. Have an appointment to start seeing a counselor again. But, it won’t start until August. Sorry to ramble. Just needed to get things off my chest. Thank you again for your channel. You are so beautiful and kind. I love Desi too. God bless you. Keep up the good work. 💋❤️🙏🏻✝️
Congratulations on your weight loss. Your mother was beautiful and her worrying about embarrassing you is so sad. Sometimes, maybe too many, we worry about petty things that others don’t even notice. ❤❤
Your mom did indeed look lovely in your wedding picture 💕 I'm so proud of you for creating a program that works for you, Susan. Your weight loss already shows! Keep up the good work!

She never drove a car 🚗 or had a driver's license. Great Memories of Mom 👩 ❤️
Such a beautiful story about your mom. She was lovely. My mom and I were the exact opposite. She was 5'3 and always had a great figure. At 5'8, I was so much taller than her most of my life and struggled with my weight. At 61 years old now, I'm still struggling, and my stepson's wedding is in October. I have about 30 pounds that I want to lose, but it's so frustrating that no matter what I do, the weight just won't seem to budge. I was approved for a weight loss drug, but I don't want to take that. Your video has given me hope today. You've done an amazing job. I'm going to try adding in the dark chocolate and try intermittent fasting. I refuse to give up.
My yard is about the same size as yours, I'm also 69 so that's perfect b/c it's so easy to mow, but big enough to have a small veg garden and a couple of flower beds plus pots on the patio. I'm happy you have found what works for you, your dear Mother looks lovely in the photo. Thanks for sharing such a personal story, My fav part is that she was able to come and enjoy herself. May she continue to RIP. (I'm not going to ask why his mom dressed in white ;-)
Oh Susan, I am right there with you. I too am 69 soon to be 70 and have found myself at the heaviest I've ever been. I look in the mirror and do not recognize that person. I've already struggled with weight as my mother did. I guess it's time for me to stop feeling sorry for myself and get this weight off. Thank you for sharing your journey. It has woke me up. ❤
Your mom was beautiful at your wedding!! I wish we weren't so hard on ourselves!! Thank you for the diet tips and the magic tip! I ordered some of those Lindt bars from Amazon!! So love seeing Desi, so happy in his kingdom!! 🩷🌞
Your mom was beautiful not everyone is meant to be skinny that's why God everyone different !! I lost a lot of weight but I was wrinkled like prune so I'd rather had some weight on me 😅
I love this video! Your mom was beautiful! The blue suit was the perfect color for her. I miss my mom so much! She’s been gone a year and I still feel her with me every day! Thanks for the weight loss ideas!
What a nice tribute to your mother. I recently lost my mother and I really do appreciate how the goodness they possessed comes to the forefront of our thoughts and memories..the petty things that might have irritated us or embarrassed us as we were growing up really does give way to the love we shared. It has only been a couple of months but I do miss my mother's expressions of the love she felt for her children.
Going low carb in 2017 helped so much. I am about 123lbs , eat protein and some veggies and berries. Down from about 180 at my highest. Keto has worked best for me.
This was perfect timing. I have been trying to lose weight and have felt like giving up. Seems like I have less willpower than ever. A lot of my favorite clothes don’t fit me anymore. I’ll be 70 next month and it seems like losing weight is harder than ever. I’ve never weighed this much unless I was pregnant! I’m going to try again and thanks for all the tips in your video! Congratulations on your success. I love your content and appreciate your candor and humor❤ Thank-you Susan
The heart is the only thing that matters. Thanks for being so open and vulnerable always, Susan. You will be the perfect weight when the wedding comes, so please don’t stress! Dark chocolate is wonderful. Yes!
❤ I just finished a 3 hr weight culture Oprah youtube special. It seems everyone has a problem even men ! Im in menopause & after trying every diet & program out there I am now on intermittent 20 hr fasting. I love your story of your journey & the story of your mother touched a nerve in everyone who heard it I'm sure . Congratulations & wishing you & all fellow dieters success no matter which plan they're on.
I cried so much but loved your heartfelt story. I can relate to your mother. I am a short overweight Mexican great-grandma and working on my weight too and loved your dark chocolate suggestion and will try it. I do miss chocolate! My family does not see me as big in body, they see me as a woman who loves her family and others with all my big heart. I too see people past their bodies and into their eyes. I accept others for who they are not what they look like. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am learning to accept myself as a beautiful loving woman no matter my size, and working on my journey to a healthier life.❤️
Your mom was a very beautiful woman with a lovely face. She made a good choice with the suit she wore to your wedding. Very nice. Sounds like she loved you so nery much. Nothing is perfect except true love. Your mother would be very proud of you because you have become somewhat famous through your youtube channel and have real artistic skills from capturing moments in life through pictures, video to how you decorate and make your home a home sweet home. Congratulations on your weight loss thus far. Thank you for sharing your life and whet is working for you, as it may be of help tp others as well. God Bless you little poet Susan and your sweet dog Desi!
Glad I came across your videos. You are such an inspiration. Love your sweet pup, Desi. You don't look over 60! You are beautiful from the inside out. I am losing weight little by little. We all have to find what works for us. I find that it is all about portions and no snacking. I eat about like you describe. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your success. I will try the dark chocolate.
My mom is always conscious of her weight because everything goes straight to her tommy and her clothes don’t fit fit right majority of times when she tries to shop and she would leave feeling disappointed and empty- handed so at times she just wouldn’t bother. I feel bad because I would always have more success in find what I need. I on the other hand am very petite and went from a Size 2 to a sz 6 can’t 😂 seem to shake it off so thank you for sharing your chocolate tip with us. I appreciate it and will be sure to try this one out.continue to do well🌸
Well done Susan you look amazing. Felt your emotion when you spoke of your dear mum. She looked beautiful, her kindness shone through. Desi looooves his kingdom. God bless you both 🌸
Well, you asked. I went on my first diet in the second grade. Yes, I have been fighting weight issues all my life. At my largest, I weighed in at 321 pounds. I decided to have weight loss surgery. After surgery, I lost 150 pounds. Now that I am 69 years old, I am finding my weight inching up again. I'm scared! Thank you for this video. I am going to try it. You are a beautiful person Susan inside and out. No matter what size you are. But I understand why you want to look your best and feel your best. I feel the same way. God Bless you and Desi.
Sooo heartfelt, sooo beautiful . I love the picture of your mother. Your right, her beauty -her goodness , kindness shines through. You were gorgeous then and stunning- gorgeous now! Sorry I gotta go headed to Walmart for my 90% Choco bar! Lost 2 lbs. 30 ish to go!😊 Your skin is lovely. My daughter couldn’t believe your age when I showed her a picture of you.! She said you have beautiful skin😊 You are a lovely person and beautiful inspiration for us !!❤️❤️❤️. Coming out of a sad sad life ….but coming out I am 😊 I can’t wait to see your dress for your sons wedding! Sincerely, Barbara
My Mom had 6 children and had a heart of gold. Always put us first....not a lot of money but loads of love! Lost my mom 42 years ago but can still feel her love. ❤ This is by far one of your best videos! Good luck with the new diet and thanks for the tips!
Your mom looked so lovely at your wedding. We do the best we can in this life and it is sad that we are so hard on ourselves when it comes to our appearance. For me a little weight loss has helped my arthritis. I am grateful for that. Will be picking up this chocolate tomorrow! ❤
Beautiful video! I’ve dieted since the age of 13 I am now 58, it’s a constant struggle and so overwhelming. I’ve lost many times and gained it back many times. I lost 84 pounds in 2021 was half a pound from my goal when I went on vacation and ate then wasn’t able to stop. I have unfortunately one of those people that have turned to weight shot (wegovy). Now I just sit and wonder what it’s doing to me. Im 5 weeks in and haven’t seen but a 5 pound weight loss. I really don’t have much hope in it working but I guess it will eventually. I feel so bad that I had to turn to medicine but my blood pressure was really high so I did. I think you look so beautiful ❤❤ And your mama was so put together she looked great. My mom was also always overweight but your right I do not think about that when I miss her. I miss her so much but anyway you’re doing a great job. I can’t hardly wait every Saturday ti watch your videos ❤❤❤❤
Oh, Susan!! Bless you! Your beauty & compassion runs so deep!! Congratulations on your diet success & you are going to be absolutely gorgeous at your son’s wedding!! Your memory of your Mom made me cry because I’ve been missing my own beloved mother lately! No one person will ever love us more!! 🥰
You were a gorgeous bride, and will be a beautiful Mother of the Groom!! You look wonderful, Susie. It's great when you find an eating plan that works for you!! Desi is the "King of Yard." I'm so happy you both have a backyard to enjoy. Happy I got a peek at Wyatt!! Love you, and The Dez...Mimi
Hi Susan......always looking forward to your weekly posts. :-). Greetings from a senior citizen empty nester from the Philippines❤ Love from Cynthia Pereira
You were blessed to have a loving mother! Some of us missed out on that but I did have an aunt who supported me and still loves me and she is 95! I too, at 75 am heavier than I’ve very been in my life and at 4’ll” that’s not pretty. I am trying the shots but just a warning to everyone, it is miserable and I’m not sure how long I can stand it. I haven’t seriously tried the chocolate (dark chocolate at that high percentage is NOT a treat) but I like your advice. The ONLY good thing about being a bit over weight is that it is proven that women at our age with a little body fat live longer than really thin ones. (That is a bit of 😅comfort) . Let’s do this!
Oh, Sue... how touching 😢 and emotional your video was this evening. You absolutely share from your soul. I have battled the yoyo weight roller-coaster for most of my adult life. It's torture when you eat your feelings. I'm so incredibly blessed to have married a wonderful man who treats me like I'm made of porcelain. He's never made me feel "less than", regardless of my size, in 42 years now. What a blessing. When we're truly loved for who we are, and not for a number on a scale, it's a rare gift. We are usually harder on ourselves in that regard. It's important to look and feel our best because of health reasons, not because we're shamed or quilted into it. When we are young, we simply don't understand the road our parents walked to develop into the people they ultimately become. It isn't until we are much older and have experienced life, that we view them with different eyes. And often, that takes grace. Especially if we've been damaged from their actions, or lack of. No child should have to bear the weight of their parents' poor decisions on their shoulders. Your mother may have buried pain that no one knew. But, on your wedding day, it was surely replaced with joy, pride, and a lovely blue suit, which made her feel beautiful. And that... she was. BTW, you were an absolutely gorgeous bride in those photographs.
Best video I have ever seen. I also was very overweight. Very hard to find any clothes in the 60,70, and 80s. For what I call being thick. I was very thick ashamed and would be so embarrassed when I went out, I was always made fun of or commented about loudly. My family was very ashamed of me. I did not go to many family gatherings. Makes me so happy to hear you talk about your mom and you are so proud of her. She looks beautiful. I lost my thickness. But I have never lost all the hurt comments I got. I am so happy for the progress they have made in helping people to lose weight now and all the clothes that are available. I realize you have hundreds of comments and probably not be able to read this. I am just hoping other people will be more kind to people that have weight issues.
Thank you for sharing your diet journey. I really love your wedding photo. Your mom looks beautiful! My dad died from dementia in September. I had a breast biopsy in March which was stressful, I am fine. The day I was waiting for my biopsy results I found out I have a half-brother born before my parents were married and my dad never knew about him. So with all of the stress in March I began eating a lot and I stopped caring because of a lot of stress. Thank you for sharing your life because now I feel like it is time for me to go back on my Weight Watchers. I will do what you have done too. Thank you for this video. I realize I need to get my life back on track and get to care about my health. You are a beautiful person. Thank you so much!
I am flabbergasted that you are 5’2 like me. You look so much taller in your videos. I have such a hard time finding dresses that fit me because they are always way too long and out of proportion. Unfortunately to find clothes in petite sizes are so hard to find. I loved the shop “Casual Corners” that would offer almost all their regular clothes also in a petite size. One section of the store regular and the other petite size. I so wish someone would come back to this concept…of course with a reasonable price tag. Congratulations on your weight loss and not giving up to reach your goal weight for your son’s big day. Love all your videos and wish I could sit and discuss the topics you have that day. You are such a gift to us viewers, you truly are!
Wow this hit home. I am a 67 year old woman that has struggled with weight my whole life. I have struggled with an eating disorder for for 40 years and I still do. I am a size 18w and I have been trying to get weight off for my sons wedding in July but cant seem to lose. I have been a size 10 and a size 22. I am so hard on myself. My son is getting married in Greece to a Greek girl. The women in her family are all beautiful women and I feel so inadequate. I know that I should know better but I cant help but feel insecure and I too worry about those pictures. Your poor mama I do understand how she must of felt.
Wedding photos can feel painful. They can be reminders of a moment when we did have hope of a happy future. Then the years of struggle come along. I understand your mother's feelings of being trapped in a body that will not change for the better. I felt like a blimp at my son's wedding. It's so healing to hear you speak of your mom's love for you - and that it didn't matter if her shoes matched her dress. I will add dark chocolate to my daily foods. I am developing my own plan for daily foods now. Your plan is a good example.
Your Mom looked really good! I didn't notice her weight at all! All I saw was her smiling face. Beautiful! I'm very honest. You were very fortunate....I lost my Mom when I was 15. ❤
Great job on your weight loss. I lost 120 lbs 10 years ago but can go up or down by 20 or so. I have eaten low carb as a way of life but when I want to really drop I go Carnivore. I do walk at least an hour a day which allows me not to obsess too much on my eating. Weight is such an odd thing for women, helps cope w/stress, mask past trauma and food is used as a drug of choice for many. I’m so happy you found what works for you!
Thank you for that beautiful reminder that we will be remembered by how we made our loved ones feel - by how we loved them - not by the latest trends of how we should look. Love shines through and makes people sparkle with radiant beauty. Your story about your precious Mom teared me up. So wonderful.❤️
Thank you so much for understanding me and my feelings...you so kind and I love it that you do not judge people by their appearance. It gets a bit much I think! Sending lots of love to you and yours, Susan & Desi, King of The Backyard
Beautiful encouraging vlog! I’m 64 and have remained slim for 17 years after taking control of my health and diet. Weight gain from childbearing & divorce, it was essential for my mental health to start focusing on myself. As a busy mother of 5 children (now adults) eating was comforting and sooo easy to make unhealthy choices. I’m petite and carrying 65 extra lbs seemed impossible to lose. I cut out sugar & bread, followed the Whole 30 way of eating, lost 65…down to a sz 2! People didn’t recognize me. More than anything, as a busy mom, it’s so easy to lose sight of oneself. I appreciate your vlog, you’re inspiring so many woman with your positive words of wisdom, God is good, Blessings! ❤🙏🥰
Carnivore for 2 years, the ultimate low carb way of eating 😁 Back down to what I weighed in my early 30’s after a 40lb weight loss. I’m 65. My body seems happy at this weight and I have stopped losing. 135lbs seems ideal for me so I’m happy to not lose any more. Congrats on your shedding pounds and that you found your own special way of eating that works for you!!! You’re already beautiful so I’ll just say, you will be spectacular at the wedding. Love ya!!! 💕
Congratulations on the weight loss, Susan! The chocolate does help, I know, to kill any feelings of deprivation. And, you don't need much. I also appreciate my dog, who gets me out the front door for walks. A little like listening to you each week, something about being outdoors can be so inspirational.
i will be 82 in august (23rd) i am proud of being that age and thankful to be an old woman. everyone don't have the opportunity to live that long enjoy your videos
I eat dark chocolate too.. but I have to be careful because I have diabetes. But I am also losing weight. But I'm also an intermittent faster. So it may be that as well. I only drink 1 cup of coffee too. I can't eat the chocolate late because it keeps me awake. But I will eat a couple of squares in the afternoon.
Your videos are like works of art for my soul, every week, and if I have a bad week I’ll watch them several times over as a beautiful stress reliever..Thanks for the diet tips sounds like good advice, Love your plan..!
❤You and Desi!! Thanks for healthy diet tips! I eat the Andrew Lessman's Procaps organic dark chocolate in 3 different levels!!! They're very good and they have cholesterol care in all different strengths!! Love your kind energy and Desi's !!!❤❤❤❤❤🙏 🙏!!!
Wonderful tribute to your dear mother. My mom did not have weight issues, and neither did I growing up. And then I got hit with anorexia and bulimia in my early 20s as I struggled with the pressures of college, sexual expectations of the times, and all that growing up stuff. I was able to recover somewhat- but purges for years when feeling stressed. I never kept a scale in our house so my daughter and I wouldn’t feel compelled to check it every day. Now at age 73 I still turn sideways to see how I’m doing - and I think to myself, “really?” Really. We women need to feel ok about claiming and taking our space in the world.
Start the day with water with the juice from fress pressed 1/2 lemon (1 liter water + 1/2 lemon) drink it slow over 1-1 1/2 hour Only eat fruit ontil 12 oclock Dont eat protein and carbs in the same meal Divid your plate into 3 : 1/2 veggie and greens, 1/4 protein or carbs, 1/4 sauce/fat Drink only water No processed food No soda No alcohol 10 min workout 3 times a week Plenty of rest and fresh air Do atleast 1 thing every day that just makes you happy
Lovely wedding picture! You were a beautiful bride and beautiful today as well! Your mother looks lovely too. It's sad that we are all so stressed about weight, when it really is our spirit and character that is most important. You will be glowing at your son's wedding!
Susan, I enjoyed this video with your great positivity. You will be a beautiful mother of the groom as your mother was a beautiful mother of the bride. These special family occasions bring great joy and lifelong memories. Your mother brought you up with love and support and you are now giving love and support to your own family and all your viewers.
Your mom looked very nice in that photo❤
Your words made me cry...thank you so much for saying this...my Mom would have been so happy to read your kind words...
@@LittlePoetI thought the same thing Very pretty Lady🏵️
That’s exactly what I thought too!❤
I agree. She looked beautiful.
Your mother was a very good looking Lady! God bless her for worrying about her looks!😢😔 You can tell by pic she had a big heart also! 😍 💜
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 So happy for you!

I'm 58 and my husband died Dec. of 2022. I lost weight at first and now am blowing up, fast. I am confused. I am a sugar addict but I am not eating any more than I used to. You should be so proud and keep up the great work!

My mom was the same and still remains bitter and hateful.
Great video.
Yes!
Wow that is a great story and great that you have been able to maintain your healthy weight. Blessings
@@CICMCB Thank you 🙏
What an inspiration! What type of exercise did you do?
My mom struggled with her weight most of her life, but when I think of her, I don’t even consider her size. I think of her sense of humor and her dedication to me every day of my life. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this...it's funny how we think our size matters to others...love to you!
Same with my mom. And I feel exaktly the way you do. Love is love. ❤
@@LittlePoetit’s funny how for you it does.
Increase water, increase protein, limit carbs. Eliminate alcohol and processed foods.
Congratulations!
Beautiful story about your Mom! ❤️
Limiting carbs and eliminating processed foods and seed oils means you don't have to count calories AND the health benefits are Fabulous. Go Keto!
Water! Water is so boring and soooo hard to remember. AND, as we age we are less thirsty, so dehydration is a real issue!
@@cIvy726 I put a little lemon in my water, or mint, and it is palatable.

Oh thank you so much for being so kind and sharing your life...xxoo Happy weekend to you! xo Susan & Desi
Well Said!
So well put. Good luck to you.
I needed to hear this today. I waste so much time worrying what people think of my looks (graying hair, overweight) it really consumes me!
God bless you and trust me they are too worried what you think of them.. be beautiful ❤
As far back as l remember my mom was overweight. I never thought about it. She had dark blond hair (until it turned gray/white) and bright blue eyes. She said to me one day, "You never complain about my weight."
"That doesn't matter to me. What matters to me, is you are always there for me. You always help me look my best," l told her. I miss her greatly,
Dark chocolate has tons of magnesium, that is why it is so helpful. Pure, quality cocoa powder can be added to plain yogur. Dark chocolate is a super food!
Mix half pure cocoa powder and carob powder. Way healthier, more nutrients, very similar flavor. Also less caffeine hit from the mix
Susan you look so beautiful in your new dresses. Congratulations on your weight loss. You are absolutely beautiful both inside & out.
Does anyone remember those diet cubes called Ayds from the 70’s? I could eat the entire box.
😂
I remember them, they were delicious 😂
Oh my yes! I’m 64 and, of course!!! I haven’t thought about them since that time! And, no, they did not “work”!! 🤯
😅😅😅
My mom had those! My sister and I would sneak and eat them. They were so good! 😂😂😂
I did the same! Also, drank Metrecal
Low carb, low carb, low carb!! Sugar is the enemy...
At 68, as much as I prefer to eat a plant-based diet; my blood sugar goes haywire without animal/fish protein and healthy dairy fat.
Thank you for sharing. This gave me hope! ❤
Thank you for sharing.❤ God is good.
Thank you!😢
I bet you find just the right outfit for the wedding! 💞💕
Thank you so much for your videos. I am 75 and 100 lbs overweight. My ex husband died a couple of weeks ago and we are having a family gathering in a couple of weeks. I'm so stressed
about seeing everyone and one of my daughters has thyroid disease and is 200 lbs overweight, so we are both dreading seeing everyone. Your message about your mother really
encouraged me. I keep trying to diet, but am having a hard time. Sorry, don't mean to complain because I have so much to be thankful for, but thank you for sharing, will try some
of your ideas. You always look so pretty, just love you and Desi.💖🙏🥲

Please don't feel that way.
If you get a chance, read my other comment on here. ❤
Not the time to diet or even care about that you LOOK like!!!! TLC yourselves....just take life one day at a time!!!!! It takes a lot to survive when life kicks you down!!!!!!! You can worry about things later when things have calmed down!!!!!
Dear Sally I had to have my doctor experiment with my thyroid drugs. I take Armour..dessicated pig thyroid med...I think it helps!
Try keto / carnivore really helps reverse insulin resistance sleep and reduce stress drink 2ater all really help cut wheat sugar and alcohol out if you can ❤
You made me cry. I love and miss my Mom so much. I had just turned 29 when she passed.
Oh dear, I know how much it hurts...love never dies does it.
I'm iny 70st now
The story about your mom made me tear up. Trust me❤❤
You are absolutely beautiful, Susan! I’m going to try your recommendations. Thank you so much!
You become invisible to society after 60. It’s a very sad realization. Most can’t admit it’s happening, but it is.
Who cares what men think?
What a wonderful description! Your mother felt beautiful too.
Your friend,
Claudia from California.
Stay the course, speak nicely to yourself - the way you would to a good friend. All the best to you.
I pray I’ll overcome this and get my life back 😢
@@margaretlawrence7802 I hope so too, for both of us!

They can tell you, prescribe for you meds, pharmaceuticals
That can “ help manage” your diabetes or other ailments.
Well done!
I'm so happy your son was there to help you! Congratulations on your success!

Good for you...I have a balance issue also..I would love to lose 30 lbs..What motivated you? Thank you for sharing.
I walk about 1.5 hrs per day, as well. It really helps my mood to be out in nature. What gym class are you taking?
@@carolestone1079 I have MS and it was getting hard to walk so I was gaining weight and becoming very sad. I just knew I had to start moving - move it or lose it - and I had to make the change in attitude.
@@Wishpool It's called functional movement. It's for aging and disabled people. It combines movements so you have to think about what you are doing.
I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. It's hard, hitting at random waves. I'm just a little ahead of you in that time. ❤
@@jules8910 Thank you, sending prayers for your situation.

That’s so smart! I only lose weight if I track my food. I’ll check out that app
Yes!!!
Thank you for sharing that picture of your beautiful Mom!❤️ definitely am trying the dark chocolate!

Boy, you said it Dawn!!! I so agree...it's overwhelming sometimes how the love is still there like Mom isn't gone at all...Happy Sunday to you!
I love your content and appreciate your candor and humor❤

I love hearing stories about your mom.❤
God bless you both 🌸
It is the heart within. Not one's weight. Some of the biggest people I've known have been the kindest souls.❤
Lost 2 lbs. 30 ish to go!😊
Your skin is lovely. My daughter couldn’t believe your age when I showed her a picture of you.! She said you have beautiful skin😊
You are a lovely person and beautiful inspiration for us !!❤️❤️❤️.
Coming out of a sad sad life ….but coming out I am 😊
I can’t wait to see your dress for your sons wedding!
Sincerely,
Barbara
What a lovely memory of your mom.
I truly enjoy watching Desi running in his yard. Especially knowing his past history before you rescued him.
My Mom had 6 children and had a heart of gold. Always put us first....not a lot of money but loads of love! Lost my mom 42 years ago but can still feel her love. ❤
This is by far one of your best videos!
Thank you so much!
Susan , kindness shines through the heart from your Mom ,Desi and you and shows on your faces. Thanks for sharing with us.Hugs to everyone 🫂💜🦋
Laughed at Desi at the end getting after that squirrel that was in HIS backyard!! So cute!!
Wow! The dark chocolate tip totally took me by surprise. I'm going to give this serious consideration!
Thank you for the diet tips and the lovely story about your beautiful loving mom ❤
:-). Greetings from a senior citizen empty nester from the Philippines❤
Love from Cynthia Pereira

I appreciate your vlog, you’re inspiring so many woman with your positive words of wisdom,
God is good, Blessings!
What a beautiful tribute to your mom.
You will reach your goal. 😊
i will be 82 in august (23rd) i am proud of being that age and thankful to be an old woman. everyone don't have the opportunity to live that long enjoy your videos
Your mother was lovely. Thank you for sharing your story!
Congratulations🎉❤

Lovely wedding picture! You were a beautiful bride and beautiful today as well! Your mother looks lovely too. It's sad that we are all so stressed about weight, when it really is our spirit and character that is most important. You will be glowing at your son's wedding!
Your mother was a beautiful lady. I miss my mother so much. 😢
❤ Well said 👏
