This is more budget True Crime than GTA, but it definitely shares DNA with every early-mid 2000s 3rd person shooter of the time. And I had no desire to see anything but the world burn in that game 😹 I mean, the fact I could level random buildings, unlike the controlled demolition missions in GTA titles, was just a godsend to lil ol me.

I forgot State of Emergency existed. Me and my brother had it when we were kids. No clue how we got it, because my dad found it eventually and took it away from us. I remember you could pick up decapitated heads and hit people with them.
I remember that distinctly because whether it was developmental oversight due to rush or an intentional gag, EVERY decapitated head was a bearded Black man with a full Afro. Like, even if you decapitated a White blonde, same thing. I found that exceptionally hilarious and lowkey I kinda hope that was intentional just to be a little edgy or just balls deep absurd.
Just noticed the SOR4 title screen music in the background. One of ny favorite games of 2020 and i still play it online today. Salute
Damn good game. Damn good memories.
I don’t comment on a lot to be honest, but I always enjoy your videos, often I’m doing things while listening, and these help with the monotony, thanks for the videos
I was all about this game back in the day! Good times!
This was my game back in the day, you made my day fr, I forgot the name of this game & have been trying to remember this game for the longest prior till now, the biggest thing I remember from this game until now was the npcs heads getting bigger lol. But this game was the shit fr
Narc was awesome! ‘Till this day there’s nothing like it especially with how pg games have gotten including Rockstar games. The music in Narc was also absolutely fantastic. The music and effects made you understand and feel the different drugs haha without ever having to try them yourself. Best anti drug media in my opinion
I absolutely loved this game and can’t seem to find it on any emulators on the market now
Loved this game as a 7th grade punk. I played this game alongside The Punisher and of course The Punisher was a much better game, but this was still good for it's drug use and free roam. Great review and thank you for touching on this topic.
Dude I loved the punisher
Unrelated to NARC... for some reason, I thought you did a video for Escape from Butcher Bay, but I can't find it, which is weird because it would flow well with your content. Great video and content as always.
Nah I haven't. That have doesn't emulate well and I don't have an original console to play it on at the moment
i remember playing this game with my cousin and telling how speed makes you go faster and my uncle hearing and yelling at us thats not how drugs work and to never use them, fast foward like 12 years and im in recovery now. i tried em all lmao.
This game glorified drugs more than any other game lol they gave you superpowers
I remember that game! My friends and I would get high AF and just laugh our asses off watching our character just constantly O.D. and end up in jail. CLASSIC!
I love you for doing this....this game used to be my s*** #Respect 💜
GTA meets True Crime meets Deus Ex, what a weird game. The Mr. House joke was fantastic
this is what true crime nyc avoided being lol. by the way that would be a good franchise to check out at some point
This was Driver Parallel Lines, True Crime, 25 to Life & 50 Cent Bulletproof all rolled in one lol
I had a glitched copy of this, played to the end 3 times, every time it glitched out on the last boss. Never got to finish it :(
You miss Marcus's cool one-liner!!
Thank you!!! I couldn’t find any videos on narc that were good
i remember playing this as a kid thinking this game is wild lol
I never of this game but your right with the right productions , writing & acting this came could have been a hit
I really don't get why Jack is voiced by Michael Madsen, he looks like he should be someone who sounds at least 30 years younger
Drugs are a hell of a drug
I wish I didn’t have fond memories of this game, but I really, really do. I love that a game this batshit was made by a major publisher.
We don't choose the random jank that leaves an impression on us. I have a fondness for plenty of janky games haha
I remember playing this game in my teens. A part of me hated N.A.R.C because True Crimes Streets of LA was more fun. But I didn't have a lot of games at the time, so I beat it and called it a day. But looking back at it I did at least enjoyed being able to take drugs and selling them while being a cop. You can't even take drugs in the early GTA games which is kinda weird now that I think about it. I know you can smoke marijuana in GTA V but that's the only drug you can use.
Smoking weed give you bullet time? I must be smoking mid lmao
I forgot how old i was but the sniper mission made me cry until I realized I could switch to my other weapons to protect the diplomat.
Dude liquid soul is just valkyr from max payne
There was quite literally to many games out during that time, multiple sports titles multiple shooters multiple gta clones, what a time!!!
I've known about this game for years since I played area 51 it had the demo real for it and I've been after it for years I can not find it anywhere for its huge marketing it seems to have fallen off the face of the earth no one knows what I'm talking about when I talk about it
It did kinda disappear the isn't even a dedicated wiki page for it lol
Saw the thumbnail and thought damn when did judge mathis have a video game
I played this game on mushrooms when I was like 17, 33 now. Tripping lsd on here while on shrooms in real life was fucking intense.
I actually learned all about the hard drugs like crack, heroine, meth, speed ecstasy etc… from this game. Good game btw!
This game seems like a good time. Any way I can get it?
Xemu emulator is the best option.l, better than PS2 version. But of course physical copy would be best
This game seems to never get brought up, but this game was the coolest shooting game I played in my childhood. With GTA, True Crimes, and the Max Payne types this is the game I can remember just enjoying for hours. Truly loved it
Max Payne was life back then. That and GTA
True crime was also another favorite game of mine to play
Bro, I have work in 4 hours 😭
Sorry! It would've been up earlier but I had to reupload due to copyright music lol
Likewise LOL
The names at the end of your videos are always so funny 😂
🤣🤣
I miss this era where stuff like this would be released often. Now a game like this would take 7 years to develop 😢
Love to see someone talking about this game one of my all time favorites!
I love how they clunkily shoehorned the company from the original NARC into this game, even keeping the name “boss island”
Me too, like they changed so much about the have why not rename some shit lol 🤣
Game was underrated! awesome originality and fun af. i had no business playing it at 10 or 11yrs old
First.
Which means nobody has ever watched all the way to the end.
You might honestly be a bigger loser than I am
I remember this game so well. My ex wife bought it for me and I beat it that night, then replayed it hust for the free roam afterwards. The good old days of PS2
Could you imagine a game like this remade today with more cities to explore and more content that had you play to unlock instead of pay for? Long story line, side missions etc would be epic
