6w5. The obligation to doubt. Testing people to see if they are trustworthy or true to their words. Team player but always vigilant and suspicious of everyone. Always worried of everything. Worst case scenario thinking all the time. Seeing bad intentions everywhere. Seeking and having to know expectations. Focusing on the negative to protect myself. On the defensive when stressed. Hate being in the spotlight. Sweet and sour. You nailed it.
Wow, we are a rare subtype - mostly in our heads and can be so negative. We can see and predict all things moving forward to mitigate risk but realizing this becomes unrelatable to others. But trying to do more to also see the good in life. It doesn’t mean you don’t reduce defenses but when things are finally secure, it might be time to relax and reach out and take a chance with others.
As a 6, your observations about us is SPOT ON! It’s actually eerie. I’ve literally said some of the things you’re talking about. Especially that bit about letting your guard down, then getting got. Is really is the worst feeling!
It is so lovely how you simoultaneously say "6s what is wrong with you" and then become so caring and say "We really wanna love you. Make it easier" :D Also had to think about the song from " The Animals": I'm just a man, whose intentions are good. Oh Lord, please don't let me be missunderstood. Kinda applies for both sides here haha.
I had a wonderful friend who was a 6. I'm a 3, and I go to the 6 for integration. When we were healthy we saw most of life's issues exactly the same. It's great to have a friend who can understand you on a deep level.

Interesting points. Too much of anyhting can be bad. Either thinking everything is going to go well or wrong will equally cause you problems. In human interactions, you should hope for the best/positive but be wary of negatives if that is likely in any situation, or you get good reasons to expect the worst. It can be a tricky balance for sure.
So, I'm going to go against your analysis a bit here, and say that if we're calm under pressure, it's precisely because we overthought it to the point that we just see the possible paths when faced with a big problem requiring an immediate response. But thank you for the video, and greetings from Belgium.
My sister is a 6 and the term frozen in fear is very true. I told her to remember that imagination is a powerful tool and she can use imagination of fear and worry or something good, we have that power to choose and being aware of that.
23:00 This confirms 2 is my core type as I try to genuinely trust (or sometimes appear to trust) people nearly all of the time. A 6 wouldn't do that, right? Thanks for the great video btw.
Okay at the end of the video I’m leaning towards 9 because I relate a lot more to being okay after a separation occurs rather than being okay when something bad happens. When something bad happens I do not Wanna deal with it and I want someone else to handle it😅😂😂
I’m a 6, 5wing (age 34) and my closest friend is my brother age 35, he’s a 3, 4wing “the professional” yeah, he has helped me with so many of these things in my life!😂😂😂👍
Merci
Of course if a zombie apocalypse does happen, I'd be the most prepared for it, I been preparing for it in my head this entire time. Not ironic at all, if fact the complete opposite, it would be as expected. If I wasn't prepared for it, after worrying for it so much, THAT would be ironic.
If You had/have childhood c-ptsd, does that hinder the "solutions" to work (excellent 2minutes ending this video) or is it the "cause of type 6" ? "lol"
Id appreciate a video talking about when u test as one type, but the test says ur another type in order to wing with another. Like me, type 8 but im a 6w5
This Enneagram thing seems extremely biased which makes me wonder how much the person that came up with it let his "feelings" influence it... it is comically sad how 6 is described as the worst enneagram type ever and at the same time some other types are like almost "perfect"...that doesn't seem very consistent to me or realistic to me ...the way the enneagram is described it literally imply that some people are just a terrible mess of human garbage the way they are and everything is bad while others are amazing with mostly positive things
Usually the 4 gets trashed-which is what my kids said I was-but I relate to the 7-I have 2 kids who are 6 and they are different-probably wings or overall health-but I see them both in this-both are highly successful-that over-planning thing works for them-mostly because they’ve already anticipated the Worst Case Scenarios and have circumvented them. He is stuck in the worrier-aspect of this type, what I see (in both of these kids) - is the need to connect with people
If you are a number six you are probably seing the six portrayed as the worst type. I am likely a nine and I hate it. It's your own assumptions of how a person "should" be that is clouding your judgement.
You're a gem for offering these resources for free. I love listening to your videos!

The "I knew it! I knew it!" Get's me every time LOL
I cried, laughed, and learnt through out the video... This is by far the best enneagram video ever... Thank you Sir. By the way I am a SIXer...

This video is nice to put in the background, zone out and not be anxious for once.

"Relax".. but I already have a procrastination problem ...

I have 72% 6 and basically this is my anxiety side of my personality. It's always on.
So funny 😂 my sister is a EMT. It’s the perfect job for her.

To this day I have no idea if I’m a healthy 6 or an average health 9.
Well, why do I have exactly that childhood story like that of little girls?!! Scary...
Tom when are those curtains getting ironed?

Who's functioning as a 1? 😂
He’s a 7. He doesn’t care. 🤣
