I just bought the little one from Sizzix Tim Holtz. I wish I knew this was coming out, the TH one is too small. The Scout looks perfect because I love my platinum 6 but I just needed something just a tad smaller.
So cute, but I don't need the smaller version. Purple is my very favorite color 💜 and ordinarily, I would not hesitate to purchase the lilac shimmer platinum 6 if I didn't already own a platinum 6! Can't justify buying a second one at that price point. Ughhh...torture!!! It would match my Cricut Maker and my Fuse! 😭😭😭
I understand your point on not needing another as you have the 6 however I will say, I bought a hero arts one and it is so much easier on my wrists/hands to die cut stuff that will fit into it. I use my Platinum 6 now for the larger dies that wont fit through the small one. But now, now I want that purple one. 🤣😅
I totally know what you mean about the convenience of a smaller die cutter, but I already have the Diamond Press Marquis and the Crafter's Companion mini that I use a lot for cutting small pieces and sentiments, so hard to justify another manual small die cutter. For larger dies I use the Gemini 2. I bought the Platinum 6 less than two years ago and pretty much just use with the Better Press, but I tell you, that Lilac one is so very tempting...because it's purple! 🤣
I wouldn't mind matching them but sadly there is nothing wrong with my Plat 6, so I'm not going to replace her just because there is something younger and prettier available. Now what ya wanna bet as soon as I place my pre-order for the Scout my Plat 6 will drop and break??

Does this mean that some of the other retailers will be coming out with their own color options for the scout? I have the aqua version of the 6, (which is the older version of the 6 I believe) but am a purple gal so loving the lilac color!
There are two additional colors of the Spellbinders Platinum Scout. Participating independent retailers will carry a blue mist color, and only scrapbook.com will carry a rose quartz color.

Will the universal plate system fit in the Stampin Up version of this small die cutting machine?
The Scout Universal Plate System does not fit in the Stampin Up' small machine.
I'm so frustrated! I bought the Platinum one a few months ago, and now the lilac is out!
I do wish more companies gave a longer heads up with their bigger ticket items. Some do, and I truly appreciate it.

We’ve come full circle - back to the original Cuttlebug size.
The original Cuttlebug was bigger…..not this small. The Plates were 5 3/4 x 7 1/2.

@spellbinders I would still like to purchase only extra cutting plates without having to keep purchasing the universal plate system every time
I’ve been getting the caboodle all year! They sent me the same color wax beads as last month and I politle asked that they send me a different color and they DECLINED! Even though they claim that the subscription is a great way to build your collection! I love their products but I’m disappointed with their customer service. Will be looking for other company’s sub kits now.

Why do you still not listen to your customers? These machines need a collapsing handle for storage. I first mentioned this along with 1000s more in 2011 when I purchased my Platinum machine.
