Beautiful cupcakes, and your baby makes them that much sweeter. There is nothing like a baby talking and coohing......I LOVE IT!!!!! and the cupcakes !!.. lol
OMG I'M HALFWAY THROUGH THE VIDEO AND I KEEP HEARING YOUR BABY'S HEAVENLY VOICEEE SOOO I STOPPED FOR A MOMENT TO HIT LIKE AND COMMENT CANT RESIST THE CUTENESSSSSS
Awww thank you! I had to come back here to listen to her again to hear what you heard (I haven't seen this video for a while!!!) I forgot she was in the background making those noises! She just turned 6 years old last month so this is a real treat hearing her baby voice again : )
I'm surprised at how easy you make the process look like (and I love your baby trying to speak with you). How do you make the fondant??? What is that edible "glue"???
Thank you! I buy my fondant. Edible glue is just tylose powder mixed with water but you can use just a little water on it's own to brush on with to make the fondant tacky which acts as an edible glue.
@ mackandnorm What size cut out should I use for covering the top of the cupcake... What product were you using? Also what was that ball like tool called? Thanks!
Ahhh yes the baby in the background! That's my baby you can here back then - she won't keep quiet when I'm filming LOL! I'm just happy she wasn't screaming! And yes she loves eating cupcakes now - she's seen my Christmas cupcakes set for this year and she didn't know how to say Santa Claus yet so she just says 'Ho! Ho! Ho!' and points at that cupcake! tHanks for watching (and listening!) Andrea ; )
If I'm not in a rush I usually leave to dry overnight but i have gotten away with a few hours if I'm short on time. They will remain curved if you leave them in the open air and it's not super humid. Fondant absorbs moisture from air so if it's really really humid it can go down from absorbing the moisture from the air - that said that has hardly ever happened to me. It's flopped on me is when I have left it on a cupcake in the fridge overnight and condensation got to it. Also one other time I left my decorated cupcakes in a close cake box overnight when it was really humid and the flowers mostly dropped - still looked good though!
Hi there! May I know how did you exactly did straight side cupcake? Mine will always be wide. Just wondering if it is the cupcake tin? I'm currently using a muffin tin.
I actually don't remember - sometimes it cools down & straightens like that on me and other times it stays wider. I don't think it's my tin as I use the same tin and sometimes i get different results. I think it has to do with the recipe and how my oven bakes too - sorry can't be of more help on this one ; )
Hi, I recently made some fondant roses.. I came across this issue where the roses kind of melted after about 12 hours. Would you have any idea why this is?
You can also use that tool you were holding to "feather out" the petals an they'll become thinner and look like the edges of an actual flower. I think the tool is called a baller but I'm not sure....
I love your baby in the background, I have kids too, we mommy's multi task, love these cupcakes, they're beautiful
Lili Ramirez-Nassif Thank you! Yes we do ; )

How long do you let your decorations dry? And do they remain curved?
