Hello Arfcom folks!
From what I understand Arfcom is a more conservative center of the gun-web.
But I must ask, as I live in Washington, what are your thoughts on me (or someone of more means) making a "Pro Gun Liberal(or progressive)" party? Im definitely not a Republican, but not a Democrat either, and I know a lot of folk here in the Pacific Northwest who love gun rights and shooting, but don't vote Republican for other policy reasons. So could this PGL party be a possibility?
Arfcom is a pretty diverse community. We try to avoid any politics not directly related to gun rights in our news episodes. The loudest voices on the forum tend toward conservative. Myself, I am conservative in my personal life and libertarian in my politics. Even if I disagree with you on other issues, I will support your fight for gun rights. - Andrew
Libertarianism is pretty identical to Satanism when you really think about it. "Who cares if your behavior is degenerate and brings society down? Just don't make me do it." I too used to believe the Libertarian philosophy... until I realized it's really just about convincing us we should let billionaires do whatever they want., and does little to protect the rights of individuals in any real way.
@@ARFCOMNews Andrew,
I am for lack of better terms, pretty liberal or progressive, but individual rights are important to me. Id love healthcare, robust public schools, etc. And while I've heard not great things about the Arfcom forums, I do very much enjoy returning here for the finest 2A propaganda. You all put together informative and concise videos. Good work to all involved!
Actually Arfcom is one of the least traditional conservative pro2A groups I've come across, in my opinion anyway. I don't consider myself partisan either way, with that said I haven't voted for a Democrat since Obama in 08 and that was more due to me believing he would actually repeal the patriot act and get troops out of Iraq and Afgan. When he did the opposite and destroyed the used car market while putting idiots in debt with Cash For Clunkers I knew it would more of the same establishment bs with him and didn't find a candidate worth my time until Trump. Far from perfect, but did great on the economy and foreign relations did some really good things for the 2A and some really bad. Look I respect anyone who supports the 2A and say good for you but if you think forming a "new party" is going to make a difference just look at the LP. I like the libertarian ideology and the NAP and consider it to be the closest to my beliefs but the LP is a joke and anyone who votes for LP candidates are just thowing away a good vote. Don't think in terms of party think in terms of policy and think in terms of what is important now. If the 2 candidates both support different things you support but you have to choose which one to support then I'd say figure out which is more important to you and which is more pressing, underfire etc. and hold your nose. It may stink but sadly being an adult may mean choosing the lesser of 2 evils. Would you rather take a baseball bat to the face or the arm? Both suck but a broken arm is better then a cracked skull. Anyway glad to see more people who understand the 2A and I wish you the best of luck in this crazy world.

@@Treblaine I never said I agree with it, but that's the argument they use, and have used since 1934 to circumvent a 2A violation, supposedly. The courts have agreed.
Herrera likely won and it was flipped
I disagree on the Herrera analysis. I think the message that was sent was "even if they do their absolute best, gun owners cannot beat our establishment". I mean, the money means nothing to the establishment, they'll just recoup their costs by robbing taxpayers when their canidates have power, and not only did Gonzolez openly commit treason when he passed gun control, he bragged about it again on national tv right before the runoff. And we couldn't muster enough attendance to win a runoff, which almost noone ever attends.
That said, I blame Gov Abbot. 400 votes is nothing. If Abbot had even kept his mouth shut, rather than endorsing Gonzalez, that could have made the difference
This^.
If Brandon had won it would send the message that you have to fight for us, but that didn’t happen and it didn’t change anything.
Brandon’s foul mouth and humor on his channel didn’t help pull the thin skin crowd either.
Abbott is a WEF globalist RINO. He has now exposed his true self. Have been calling him out over 2 years now. Speaker Johnson needs voted out by his district too. RINO.
Unfortunately this is the way I took it too. There is no way to vote this cancer out. The country is terminally broken and it will continue to be. There is far to much money and power in to few hands. I’m not a Trump fan because of him claiming to be pro 2A yet immediately banned bump stocks and also Red flag laws saying “it’s better to take the guns before we go to court” but Trump is a scary example of someone that wiggled there way in and now they are trying to throw him in prison for a crime they can’t even name that he personally didn’t commit. He is an example of what happens if you try and take power away from those in control. It’s really scary and I know A LOT of people see exactly what I’m talking about but the problem is there is no way to stop it. “Just vote harder next time” never works and it doesn’t work for a reason, we’re given 2 “choices” and they both are bought and paid for. Over the last 8 months I’ve seen first hand how little rights we have “we don’t have any” and how the state will lock you in a concrete box if you push back AT ALL. You are guilty until proven innocent unless you’re mega wealthy. You also can’t tell the state no, well you can but they will do what they like and MAYBE JUST MAYBE a judge will side with you BUT you’re still out all the time and money proving you didn’t do anything wrong. Cashless or No Bail isn’t as bad as some people think. That’s how it should be for all but the worst crimes. You shouldn’t have to rot in jail for months because you’re accused of something. If you are presumed innocent you should be treated as such. Let go on your word you’ll be in court, if you immediately get picked up again then you should be kept in jail. Of course exceptions to this would be murder or attempted murder, rape, sexual assault. But beyond that we should actually treat people as we per claim to do, INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. as for Brandon I worry about him because now all federal law enforcement will be looking to railroad him into jail for anything just for challenging those in power.
Oh it definitely sent a message! If it hadn’t then all the other big time politicians wouldn’t have bothered even making endorsements! Nothing against Brandon but he’s an essentially nothing UA-camr in their line of thinking and he almost put their chosen man out of the race simply by running against him! And the fact that Brandon wasn’t backed by tons of corrupt politicians and millionaires and billionaires and still almost won scares the utter crap out of them! They’re used to having uncontested power and now regular people are coming out in droves to challenge that power and there’s more and more every day! So yeah I’d say it sent a real big message!
Voting meets the rhetorical definition of insanity.
Sounds like someone was building a target package then got caught and dealt with

I don't understand how there can be so many gun owners in America, who can't be bothered to vote to defend there rights.
I didn't understand until I met gun owners at work who are near retirement age. They grew up without mass shootings. They would go hunting with the class after school. The area is now a small city, instead of a big town. The boomers don't understand why or how kids decide to go and commit these crimes, so they think that it is because of the guns changing. Because they didn't need a mag fed semi-auto, they think mag bans are responsible. And that logic continues for other "responsible gun control"

Other factors could raise those odds to one in several billion.

All were 5 were probably in their late 20’s too mid 30’s and of central casting for the war on terror. After retrieving the item my wife left in the car I also grabbed a small cheap low power binoculars I kept in the back. Our room was on the 3rd floor looking over the parking lot. When I looked out the window a second suv arrived with a couple of gas cans to refuel the other one.instead of calling the police immediately I called to talk too the hotel manager explained everything including my theory they were using the hotel WiFi , and he came up too my room and watched with me even using my $10 binos. He called the police and from my elevated position saw 3 cruisers stage 2 blocks away. 2 cruisers then approached while one stayed two blocks away as it was the fastest route back to the Interstate. As the cruisers were almost to the hotel the suv left in a hurry and were pulled over searched for 15 min or so and released them to the wild. The officer came to the hotel and told the manager that they produced identification from a Texas energy company , even though both suvs had California plates. The manager said the officers agreed that the whole situation stunk but didn’t have anything to hold them on. The manger comped my family breakfast the next morning, and told us then that the one guy of the seven that was a guest at the hotel (the one in the elevator) never returned too the room and left nothing behind. Texas voting again against freedom. EVERY VOTE COUNTS. Don´t let lazyness ruin your rights.
Because the Tax and the Law are Illegal...
Believe it or not, a Chechen from Chicago working as Contractor in North Carolina for a New Jersey based utilities company is pretty darn normal. That’s why the GRU and SVR favor this type of cover when it comes to US based ops.
You can call him Jeff, it's fine... He calls himself John and claims be a Texas Republican. He's really just a white southern democrat, so he might as well be Jeff too.
All @FrankilinArnory has to do is, make an AR-15 Binary Trigger for less than $99.99. either that or stop suing, and or sending cease & desists, other smaller binary trigger manufacturers. so that us poors, can actually afford a type of fun switch for our AR's
There might be more to this that most realize. A SOCOM Colonel has been places and seen a LOT. As you alluded to, is this some plot by 'outside forces' that somehow involves an American Special Operations colonel? Honestly, it is possible. I have been around SOCOM people almost all of my life. I can tell you, what we hear about is a tiny FRACTION of what really happens.
People arguing that the guy wasn't illegal are missing the point, that changes nothing. the idea that foreign agents or even terrorists can't somehow gain legal entry is nonsensical.
He wasn't [allegedly] shot because he was from Chechnya, I doubt the colonel knew anything about him except what he was doing. he was [allegedly] shot because of his [allegedly] suspicious and then aggressive behavior. It is on the facts of that confrontation alone that we would be able to judge whether it was justified or not.
The other factors are of course important though in establishing the bigger picture and exactly what the hell was going on. And to be perfectly blunt, even though that's technically not the way the law is supposed to work, if it turns out - as seems to be highly likely - that this was some kind of criminal or intelligence operation, the colonel will obviously get an immediate pass regardless.
e.g. No prosecutor in South Carolina is interested in being the one trying to ask a grand jury to indict a soldier for shooting an SVR operative up to something mysterious, even under murky circumstances.
Play stupid games, you get the smoke!
I think phrasing the shooting as "Chechen Illegal For Taking Pics Of Daughter" is bad. It's like when left wing media says: black man killed for broken taillight. like yeah, the broken tail light is what started confrontation, but the reason he was shot was because the officers had a fear for his life and used self defence. It seems the colonel is also claiming self defence and that the other guy became agressive.
For every one of these plots uncovered 10 are probably in play.keep in mind nato and ngos working hand in hand with the us government are sending them to the us feeding housing etc.
The only real question here for self defense is: how aggressive did he get?
And, devil’s advocate here: he may have taken close up pics with his phone with auto upload and used the telephoto for utility poles he couldn’t legally acceess.
I seriously doubt he shot the guy for taking photos of his daughters. There had to be something else that transpired during the confrontation which took place over the picture taking/trespass which resulted in the shooting. As this incident has not received a lot of coverage and actual facts are hard to come by, it's impossible at this point to say anything for sure other than there was a confrontation and the the guy is dead. The Col. has obviously had extensive training and has also likely been told by his lawyers not to discuss the incident publicly, which is smart. The reports on the incident have probably not been released yet either so we don't even have those to go on and are left with speculation which makes for good rumor fodder but not much else. Personally I think it'll be deemed a good shoot and all I have to base this on is the guy's training and experience. Had it been simply a matter of the guy taking pictures of his daughter, I could definitely see an a** whuppin which I have no doubt the Col. was more than capable of administering. The fact he got shot says something else happened. The fact both were illegals from Chechnya adds an entirely different layer to the whole incident.
Brandon won the other guy just bought a few last minute votes
Here's another option (photo) he had been there already during the day and photographed the pole, while there noticed the Kids and decided to make a little return visit for some reason known only to him, needless to say he clearly underestimated the Col's love for his children, won't make that mistake again.
This story is like a Madlib
"we sent a message"
yeh, a message that we don't have the numbers, lol
We do have the numbers, but the "voting doesn't matter" crowd is holding us back by staying home.
I ❤ commenting
Me too!!!
Honestly the fact that anyone in the comments thinks they actually know the real situation with the Chechen and say so with such authority is pretty hilarious.
it doesn't sound like a spy operation or anything.
The entire AND ONLY jurisdictional nexus the NFA has in order to exercise any authority at all is that it is a TAX SCHEME. FDR originally wanted to ban NFA items outright, as well as handguns. But his Attorney General pointed out it would never withstand SCOTUS scrutiny if it even ever got passed. Without a tax to collect ALL FEDERAL AUTHORITY to record anything about the items in the registry evaporates, since their registration was only justified in order to enforce and verify the collection of tax. No tax? No NFA! Gone. Blown up. Finito, Vamoose. As non-existent as Biden's scruples.
Even though it was Republican vs Republican I am surprised that Texas kept Tony Gonzalez in. I thought Texas was red. I’m sure some people will start to say it is the new citizens who moved to Texas recently.
"Citizens"
I love that Sam fisher is the thumbnail
As far as the socom guy goes, he did good.
Only 4 reasons to look at someone else's property.
1. Incidental as you go about your own buisness-clearly not the case
2. You're making an offer to purchase the property-clearly not the case
3. You've been invited-clearly not the case
4. You're government thug AND have a warrant to both look at the property and figure out who owns it (names, addresses, property, especialy who owns what cannot be public info without violating the 4th amendment)
Since its none of those 4, dude had no buisness & had to be considered a threat to the lives of everyone on that property
