There's a crescent-shaped relief in the cover, which provides clearance between the cover and the adjusting shaft. The relief MUST line up with the adjustment shaft, or the shaft will be difficult or impossible to turn once the cover is in place. The shaft may even be damaged. This was never discussed. (The tip of your left thumb touched the relief at 3:05)

Very helpful especially when showing how to pop the cover. Merci
Great video, thank you. This was very helpful.
Any suggestions on what to do if the back won’t just pop back on?
Did you figure it out?
I have the same issue
and last time I buy a fossil
@@cristiandrei1980I bought a watch press. That's the only way.
@@Overlord277 already broke the watch :( I will avoid Fossil as is the only one that I had this issue with.
The back won't pop back on. I used a broom stick and pushed all my weight. I bent the case back and it poped right off.
I can't get it back on.
Got it on. You MUST use a watch press. Don't try anything else.

@@randallsemrau6911 I used a proper watch press. Worked on the first go and the faceted crystal is 100% fine.
