A basement in Florida is the most unrealistic part. My sister moved pretty far inland and went from 6 feet above sea level to 18 feet above sea level. There is no way that a contractor would dig a basement.
I would agree but I do have to say that that area is more of a CRAWLspace. It may be something to get the house higher due to flooding (not that it helped much).
Cool premise but: 1- There's no basements in Florida 2- Gators don't chase you like that unless starving. They would more than likely go the other way.
As a Floridian this is pretty realistic and I wouldn’t doubt if this was footage from our most recent hurricane, the gators pretty much run the state and one of them is our governor. The only unrealistic part I immediately noticed is a basement in Florida…
Rofl. As an American, period, you are insane if you think this is believable footage from any hurricane. The most unrealistic part is anyone being surprised by gators in Florida during a hurricane.
Protagonist kicks a gator in the face to free her leg, shoots a gator that clamped her arm, and traps a gator in behind a glass bath screen to escape. A glass bath screen.
Massive props to the girl going out of her way to help save her father, and hey, they even saved the dog! It does suck that the dad got one of his arms mangled beyond repair, but they managed to make it out alive in the end during a massive storm.
It’s explained in the movie. The family kinda fell apart. Divorce ect and he had an attachment to the family home because it represented the better happier times, so he obsessively maintained and kept it together.
Ok, ever since I was about 8 and my Dad tipped our canoe over in a muddy lake, I've been terrified of water I couldn't see through. Somehow, een though I live in the Midwest, that fear morphed into a certainty that I was afraid because there could be gators. Seriously, they could survive the harsh winters as long as their snouts don't freeze. That was also a year that our state flooded to the point that we had to have the National Guard ration potable water for us. All that to say that at least once a week I have this movie as a nightmare.
It's just a natural instinct. Same as not liking the dark. Probably comes from things in the water. But not sure what the second half has to do with the first.
For the record, if Haily had done what she did with the hatch into the kitchen that was blocked by furniture while the ex boyfriend was looking through the house, he probably would have seen it and simply moved the furniture blocking it, most likely saving his life, as well as Hailys and her dads arm
"The most important lesson of all. Move the hell out of Florida while you still can!!" I'm moving out of Florida soon! Too accurate 😂😂😂 The doggie survived!! I would so save my pets I once saved my cat from flooding Hurricane Ian, my yard was flooded and my kitty was on a fence and it was flooded with tree branches everywhere. I cut my foot but i saved my orange tabby! He's safe
This is why I refuse to live anywhere near the water because of things like this💀💀💀 and is also why my family refuses to live in a house with a basement
I live in Florida my whole life and there's no basement in any house or apartment that I have seen or been to However the huicanes are very very bad and I have been through every single one that has hit Florida i lived in Sebring Florida, davie Florida and then now Hollywood Florida but ya they are terrible here it's not fun at all your right though stay safe from windows is very right
*It’s crazy how everyone watched this and now a severe hurricane is heading towards Florida. Anyone from Florida, I hope you’ve watched this video and now “how to beat” the hurricane*
I was hoping he’d do this one literally like yesterday 😂the timing is crazy…Im pretty sure I could tape a gaters mouth shut by hopping on the back and holding the mouth down but a gator that big 😬I’m not so sure about
“If you were trapped in a flooded basement filled with man eating alligators, what would you do?” I hear gator tastes pretty good so I’d eat em’. Lol😂😂😂😂😂😂
Have a damn good day! Hope you guys can cover rec 2, and maybe cover red dead 2 it’ll be fun to see how yall deal with a rat, or how to survive shadow company and the cartel in mw2 and see what yall can come up with
Couldn't they have broke the brick then crawled out before the rain got bad just needed a hammer or a shovel.Cuz like my house has the same thing and i had to replace broke and or loose bricks
Ok so.:.:the whole movie they were looking for a boat to get away….and in the garage there is a canoe…..also when they were z”stuck” under the house… they had a hammer. They could have busted out the decorative block and get out easily.
If you arm/hand ever gets grabbed by a gator move with the gator as it tries to pull you, that'll confuse him and he'll most likely release you. Source: Steve Irwin Well technically that was for crocs, but I'd assume it would also work for gators.
omg im like half way through so dont knwo if he points it out but the inbetween the "windows" are so small that they could just take some of the tools and break of the last pieces of brick/stone and have a huge gap out of the basement
A basement in Florida is the most unrealistic part. My sister moved pretty far inland and went from 6 feet above sea level to 18 feet above sea level. There is no way that a contractor would dig a basement.
as a Floridian I can back up this claim
Anywhere along the Gulf 😂 there are no basements so much as indoor self-filling pools
It wasn't really a basement. The house is placed on an incline, the space is where the house is being propped up.
I would agree but I do have to say that that area is more of a CRAWLspace. It may be something to get the house higher due to flooding (not that it helped much).
as a floridian i have never seen a basement in florida
Im just so damn happy the dog survived because some movies are not so forgiving
Literallyyyy that’s all I cared about 😂❤
@@vlogwithkaylee1304not the humans 💀 get some mental help
Same, me and my mom watched this for a movie night and we were so worried about the dog
@@vlogwithkaylee1304Same I was rooting for the dog the whole time like “YEAAAHHHH LETS GOOOOOO” when the dog survived I was so happy
This movie gets to join the ranks of Alien in the *“WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEEEEEEAAAAAAH BABYYYYYYYYYY THE ANIMAL SURVIVED”* Horror movies
Man this film really underestimates the power of gator bites
Cool premise but:
1- There's no basements in Florida
2- Gators don't chase you like that unless starving. They would more than likely go the other way.
Not suppose to be realistic go watch a documentary
it's a crawl space, uncommon but still around
"Steve Irwin's basement" Lol! RIP, Crocodile Hunter, loved his show so much
Crikey!
His basement would have a loy more than crocs. There's an entire ecosystem in his basement for sure
Rest in peace use to watch him all the time as a kid brings back memories.
His show is what made me love animals
CRIKEY

Since when Ron is a gator?????
Loooooool
I am Floridian, and I approve of this message.
@@ZeeTwoHumble So, as a Florida man, can I ask you what the natural phenomenon between Gators and Frying pans?
Rofl. As an American, period, you are insane if you think this is believable footage from any hurricane. The most unrealistic part is anyone being surprised by gators in Florida during a hurricane.
Florida doesn’t have basements how is it realistic
Protagonist kicks a gator in the face to free her leg, shoots a gator that clamped her arm, and traps a gator in behind a glass bath screen to escape.
A glass bath screen.
Yeah, plot armor was pretty heavy on this one... her first encounter with those 2 gators and she was definitely their dinner.
Average day in Florida
Gators can weigh up to 1000+ pounds, and it’s all muscle. The moment she was caught by the leg, she was dead.
Massive props to the girl going out of her way to help save her father, and hey, they even saved the dog! It does suck that the dad got one of his arms mangled beyond repair, but they managed to make it out alive in the end during a massive storm.
That’s a little more than just mangled
Why was he in the basement to begin with? Like Storms like this don't just happen, he'd have had weeks to know not to be down there that day
People like him firmly believe that they know better. Logic doesn't work with them.
It’s explained in the movie. The family kinda fell apart. Divorce ect and he had an attachment to the family home because it represented the better happier times, so he obsessively maintained and kept it together.
he was down there doing some last minute fortifications for the flooding. cares a lot about the house because memories
A Floridian without a gun or access to one? I refuse to believe it
"But that was his biggest mistake" 🔥🔥🗣🗣

A cat5? Y'all better off running directly at the gators and hoping for a fast end cause FEMA ain't gonna find you until they smell you

I can’t believe I seen this movie when it came out and didn’t even think about a how to beat video 😅.
I see everybody complaining about the basement. It is a crawlspace for plumbing and stuff.
I saw this as it came out but then I had to walk my dog so I watched the video the whole walk I love your vids
