Danny’s voice still as strong as ever, today.
I was there that day. 18 years old at the time - Where does time go? 😬
Was there and 18 too! Just got to thinking this year marks 30 years since the event, so been listening to Backstreet Symphony and Skid Rows' Slave to the grind last coupla nights.
@@ianread9019 Proper festival back then.
1 day, 1 stage & you could take your own food & beer into the venue. Oh how times change.
I was there too but I was 16.
Yes, I was there too. 29 at the time. My car broke down on the way and I arrived half-way through this set. It rained if I remember correctly. But a great festival.
The lady is the delectable VJ Vanessa Warwick, of Headbanger's Ball (TV). She was married to Ricky Warwick (The Almighty). In 1992 times were changing in British Rock - Grunge, Nirvana and Dave Grohl were coming up. Pop. Alternative Rock and Generation X took over.
Was there and what a great day, despite the weather (Spotted with rain early on and the wind blew the sound away if you were near the "craft" (see liquid gold poppers) tents).
Three of us, back to back, scanning the skies for flying bags of shit and piss, everyone jumping on them to lob them back as soon as they hit the ground, or some unfortunate soul.
Great day finished off with thousands singing "Always look on the bright side of life" as we left for the car. Happy days indeed.
Rock n roll boyssss 🤘🔥🤘thats the way..
The last remnants and torch bearers of NWOBHM. Whoaargghh!
