Manor Lords is a strategy game that allows you to experience the life of a medieval lord. Grow your starting village into a bustling city, manage resources and production chains, and expand your lands through conquest.
Inspired by the art and architecture of late 14th century Franconia, Manor Lords prioritizes historical accuracy wherever possible, using it to inform gameplay mechanics and visuals alike. Common medieval tropes are avoided in favor of historical accuracy, in order to make the world feel more authentic, colorful, and believable. - Ігри
It's really cool that they're actually asking people to vote on stuff they want to see in the game. That's how you get people to get it and keep playing it cause they know that not only do they care about feedback but also want people to have a voice in how the game progresses
One of the coolest things I've seen with the whole project so far tbh!
But only a tiny part of the player base does that. It's not always the best way to do it. Let's say I want the game so hard any tiny mistake and you are dead. I vote it taking the game in the direction. The rest of the player base never go online, never vote. They want to play a fun game. It's now ruined by the tiny piece is the player base who squeak the loudest. I'll say it again what the player wants isn't always good game design. Because 10% vote of the 90%. Those 90% see changes and now don't buy the game. But the 10% are happy. Not good game design. You make changes good for the game not always what players want.
Overly high ale consumption? There is no such thing 🍺
Hey Eggz! Been watching your CS playthroughs for a while and I gotta say I'm loving the Manor Lords content!! Please keep it coming!
There's already an update! Wow, this guy is committed.
I gave it a break, but I guess I'm loading up my save to test out all the changes.
Enjoy, Skinny!
"Already" Bro, it's a balance patch, it took ages.
@@AmraithNR Early access just came out, plus its 1 guy.
Its not just a balance, there's some gameplay changes and visual changes. It's not a huge patch, but I don't think its fair to say its just a balance patch.
@@mrskinny8555 Don't spread misinformation. Just click the credits. It wasn't one guy working on it for the last 5 years, it's 20 contractors and the main dev.
@@AmraithNR That's true, a lot goes into making a game. I saw all the people he's worked with in discord.
Point is, its not a huge dev studio, so I don't know what you're expecting, why you're expecting releases when it just came out in early access.
wow what a list of updates and fixes!! It amazes me how well it's already been developed!!! I've joined discord but I rarely use it. Thanks for the updates!! 🤩
Man! All these changes sound really good! Looking forward to trying everything out!
We need a way to use sheep for meat so they don't breed out of control if you have that development point. I took that perk ONCE...never again. It would be nice to use them for meat and wool or turn off the perk/cap it at some point. 👍🏾
I would also like to use chickens and goats for meat also but I don't think it should be as much as dedicated meat farms
Selling sheep is great tho
You can trade extra sheep for coin
@@haggishaggis6195 Its an issue of better efficiency not money. 👍🏾
@@sundiataSMITH with the new update things will change and ez coin wont be so easily available from what I have read. The game will punish those with bad economy. Not really sure what you meant by efficiency tho, system efficiency? the game efficiency? both? That sheepbreeding perk states that sheep’s are going to slowly multiply, idk so much about it as I never used it but I was thinking to build up a region that focuses on animal breeding and trade. Also, I agree with you that there should be other options for meat. But, in medieval Europe meat was a thing that everyday Joe couldn’t afford. The dev. states that is not 100% accurate however it tries to stick to the original period as much as possible. Maybe milk and cheese making, also fish were more common on Europeans tables back then. Aaaa peace x
I’ve already gotten my moneys worth. I’m excited to support this guy
I'm at 170 hours already lmao
Yayay I have an issue of an ox getting stuck if my field is too close to the map edge. I reported it to him already, but these changes look great!
Tons of minor bug fixes too! Could very well have been sorted :)
I had Ox getting stuck at full 12X speed, there is meant to have been a patch on that. If it's not quite working for you I save the game and reload it to allow them to move on.
Definitely think it makes sense to move the pack station features to the trading post. Can’t wait to see more episodes!
Overly high ale consumption seems more like a feature than a bug. 😊
I played the newest update and jeez that sawmill efficiency might be a bit too good now. I never have logs available cos they smash through them making planks. Have to stop the saw mill just to build some log currency.
This game looks like it has a Sid myers meets City Skyline vibe
Coincidentally my two favorite IPs.
Sid has his hand in some of the best game very made. He said he made the games he'd like to play not what others wanted to play. He was right most of the time he's gotten more games in the HoF for games than anyone. Make it fun not overly hard or a click fest like some games are now. Having the click all day every day isn't fun game design. It's tedious. Tedious is not good game design.
that music
i hope they add and intriguing story and character development to this game, like the AOE, total war and RTS of the industry.
I'm really excited for later stage additions that make the game last a while longer
Great changes! My first major game I quit with over $400k, just short of 70k influence, and 2100 peeps.
FPS was great but loading time by then was 4 minutes on my I5, 3060ti, 64GB.
Happy to see the new patch but my game now keeps crashing to desktop. The price of progress 😂
Same here and no path to fix like mll fix?
Played through it all day yesterday and definitely happy with the tweaks BUT the oxen are bugged to hell when plowing fields. My villagers are hand plowing it faster.
I hate not being able to upgrade my homeless tent, it sets me behind by 2 workers and 2 family extras.
could you make a video about how to mass produce beer please?
Howdie OE from Allenstown, NH. Northeast, USA. I now have Manor Lords, but can't play it right now. Because when I load it to play, I get this message UE4 crashed
You know what I could totally see being added at some point in the future, in a game with such complexity and verisimilitude? *Dogs.*
It’s not even beta yet, it’s pre release. This game is going to be massive. Mounted knights. Enemy settlements to attack. Castle planner upgrades. Etc etc. Even the possibility of a mmorts game.
This patch so soon after release has given me great confidence that Greg knows this game is a diamond and he will polish it and not just spend his profits on coke, hookers and yachts.
Best game and developers ever in my opinion!
Sadly after patch i have 4x crash :(((((((((
How do update it on gamepass?
Gamepass won’t get it until it’s an official patch. This is a pre release of the upcoming patch
The AI still has armies way too early and dominates bandit kills slowing your progress to expansion. Archer damage is still too low. I had 2 full units of 36 archers that barely killed a few bandits as they ran at my spearman. Pergolas take forever to update when a need is provided for them. Not a fan at all of the land tax which basically forces you to tax your citizens. These are a few of the issues I ran into playing the last few hours.
Think there is a lot of tuning and development still to be done, and I'm quite sure the dev is listening to feedback. Of course, not every feedback will be acted upon, but from what I've seen, it seems he listens.
The Dev for this seems too good to be true. There HAS to be a plot twist at some point.... Gets revealed to be AI or Elon Musk or Hitlers nephew or something 🤣🤣
On a serious note.... Big devs take note....
Unpolished , unfinished game + honest intentions and great communication and inclusion of community and the feedback has been almost universally positive. 👏🏻
Sometimes what players want isn't always good game design. Let's say players who want to game super hard. They vote for things to make it that way. Now the other players who just want to play are turned off by the tiny minority wanting it super hard. Most people don't vote or go to forums. They just buy a game and play. The tiny minority have the loudest voices. He'd better take care on the voting thing. Trade was 100% broken. Nice to see steps done to try and bring it more in line. Farms really didn't work and step in the right direction. You should have to farm. It should be part of the way you build your city. With trade being completely broken you didn't need 1 farm. The Kings tax is interesting. Looks like he really wanted to keep players from get insane piles of money. Interesting idea. If you nerf taxes, it hurts the early game. This is a short to fixing it. Taxing the rich or money hoarders.
still no castles and cathedrals? not even any dragons added, smh. still, love the game
