6:06 I never noticed this before, but I like how Tohru is genuinely happy that Finn, Ratso, and Chow got the same (for the most part) second chance he received after leaving the Dark Hand. He even seems pleased that his own success story was what convinced Captain Black that they deserve the benefit of the doubt.
It helps that, after the penultimate mask was retrieved, Tarakudo didn't really need them anymore. Same with Shendu, actually, with him saying that he would be a very happy dragon if he never had to see them again, after the Demon Portal fiasco. Meanwhile, Daolon Wong would just keep them in a dark limbo whenever they're not needed... definitely the worst of their bosses.
Strikemaster Ice and his buddies are the most 2000s thing about this show... in a very dated way. Which Jackie Chan Adventures usually avoided despite all the 2000s technology moments.
Ratso is always the funniest. Finn and Chow being a disco wedding singer and Sunglass Hut employee fit. But Ratso studying theoretical physics is a perfect out of left field gag.
11:21 I like how Jackie Chan takes responsibility for his collateral actions, which is rare in a fictional action tv series. You rarely see this sort of courtesy from fictional heroes such as batman.
One thing i really love about the enforcers is they never tried to hurt jade. you could tell she was never in any real danger when they were the villeins
You gotta give the dark hand credit they definitely tried to be good guys, no doubt they worked for Valmont voluntarily, buy they were forced into servitude by Shendu, Dalon Wong and Terakudo, but unfortunately the opal was to valuable to ignore and Jackie trusted them enough which made him let his guard down and it easy for them to take it.
Great episode! There’s lots of clever jokes in this one and I really appreciate the references to Charlie’s angels. It’s also sort of cute how Finn, Ratso, and Chow bond with Jade. This is certainly a story which took the time to look beneath the setup of them always being crooks. What I appreciate most about this episode isn’t seeing them try to be good guys but rather seeing how much effort they make to try something different.
Doesn't count if robbers rob other robbers. But, yeah. The story perspective really makes you feel sorry for these guys. They just wanted to sell a golden statue to make a few bucks! Is that really so wrong?! xD
Then you definitely have to check out the fanfic J-WITCH ( Season 1), the enforcers honestly have a significant amount of development throughout that story. Also the crossover between Jackie Chan Adventures and W.I.T.C.H works surprisingly well.
The Ginyu force they are lame force their fighting pose makes them more lamer they should change the name that Ginyu force to the lame force the Ginyu force they are not popular warriors they are wash up yesterday news everyone wants popular news warriors like Goku Vegeta Gohan goten trunks all z fighters.
Liked this episode until the ending ruined it. It feels like a kick in the teeth for the writers to show Finn, Ratso, and Chow wanting to change after making us feel sorry for them for everything they've been through only to have them make the wrong choice and give into their greed. Also, I think I can speak for everybody when I say the entire show would have been better off without Cringe Master Ice.
There's still Season Five where we continue seeing these guys trying to move on with life and cooperate with the Chan Clan. Not every reformation story is going to have the characters successfully turn on a dime like with Tohru. Xiaolin Showdown and MLP:FIM did this too.
Honestly: I like they never went good, in a sense. I would like to, but if say Ratso turned but the others didn't, the dynamic would be off. All 3 stay bad or all 3 turned good. No exceptions.
