Flattening A Walnut Slab / Spe Tool Router Sled

The grizzly 20” helical head planer is on my wish list 🙏🏼
I’ve only used it twice, but so far it’s been good. I definitely need a more powerful router and I think it will feel a little better.

@jakeg1342......A perfectly flat side is still needed and the planer won't do that. It will only smooth and mirror the twist that's on the opposing side. I have a planer and will be getting a router sled because I have some lumber like that in the video.

@@66limelight I have seen others use a planer sled and shim up the bottom side to where its mostly level then run it through. I have seen uneven boards done this way.

@@jakeg1342 I will concede and you are correct! Yes, that is a way to flatten a piece with a planer. As long as it is wide enough. Mine is limited to boards 12" or less wide.
