When u realize that this movie is a better car movie than all other fast and furious movies

After i watched Ferrari v Ford, I was thinking the same thing as well. Fast furious should learn a thing or 2 from this movie

I love how Bale’s trying to act like Damon’s the better actor, but he’s just being humble. We all know Bale is far superior in acting talent. Dude’s a freaking chameleon.

@SuperSaiyan, Bale is an extremely flexable actor, while Matt Damon is more like an old school movie star. He is Matt Damon, in every role, with a twist ,depending on the need of the character. Think of Carey Grant....he is always the same guy, just a different script. Or Robert Mitchum, Jimmy Stewart,Clark Gable..... Damon is that kind of actor. I like him in everything he is done. Bale is the "method actor", and he is awsome!!! I really liked him alongside Russel Crowe in "3:10 to Yuma". Really good film, and great acting between Crowe and Bale!!
They're both great actors. It's just that Christian Bale has way more acting range than Damon

Dumb comparison. Kimmel gets 3 minutes to ask set-up questions so the guests can give prepared answers. That’s the late night format. I’m sure if he was tasked with sitting down for a half hour interview it would be much different.
Bale is - quite simply - the finest actor of his generation. Even if you're not into cars/racing, this movie is a must-see. It is simply spectacular.
Matt Damon will make the transition to a successful director. This guy's intuition and perception of the "big picture" are noticeable. Humble, hard-working, and respectful to his peers.
The Boxer Him as the snake himself I think it was a phenomenal portrayal of the man, and I think that’s proof of your theory right there. I can see that happening down the road for sure.

@@mikeodonovan9299 yes Damon is a big advocate for Democratic policies and has always leaned that way but it doesn't diminish his acting chops. He seems very professional and treats everyone he works alongside with respect, which in the film industry is a big deal. It's why you don't see Norton on screen anymore.
If you’re any kind of a “car guy” or race fan, you have to see this movie! Without a doubt one of the best “racing movies” ever made. Simply fantastic!
Not only the petrol heads must see it. I'm not a car head nor a race lover, and I loooved this movie. I felt like it was me driving that Ford GT40.
Le Man's with James Gartner in the 60s was great with very famous casting.
These two guys have wonderful chemistry on screen and off. I love the contrast between Bale's snarky sense of humor vs Damon's heartwarming niceness. Hope they work again in the future.
Ken Miles is definitely one of the best Christian Bale roles, man was outstanding in this film
It was real cool to see how Damon and Bale compliment one another - no ego - what appears to be a real respect, friendship

I think Bale and Phoenix are on another level. Mc C and DiC have done some great stuff ( "Dallas Buyer's Club" and "Gilbert Grape" com3 to mind. But I think Bale and Phoenix can do scary and sensitive on such a high level.
If any person can make it happen it would be Christopher Nolan or Tarantino.

Bale has belted quite a few memorable performances. He's becoming iconic for this era of Hollywood.

Ford v. Ferrari is a masterpiece. I was interested in it because of the cars, but it's the story of the people and friendships that made it great.
I was blown away at how great this movie is. To be able to keep me, this total non car freak hooked from minute 1 , now that is amazing. Loved loved loved it!

Easily the greatest film of the year, in my opinion. This story needed to be told, and it was told perfectly. With two of the best actors of this generation, an incredible production team and equally outstanding director, this definitely reigns as one of the greatest car films out there.

I don't often buy what Hollywood is selling but made an exception (twice) for this film. I wasn't disappointed. These two actors were superb.

yeah and that ain't on you, there's been PLENTY of times in the past where Bale had just come off playing an American character in a film and whatever press engagement he was doing, he'd still wind up speaking sounding closer to an American than anything in the UK. I think it's mostly because he's so often had work where he couldn't speak his fully native tongue and in the small time inbetween projects it was just easier to maintain it.
Definitely much nicer than an American accent.
Phenomenal movie and even better acting by Bale...My new favorite movie of all time, and Bale is without a doubt, my favorite actor for sure. His dedication is unreal.

As someone who isn't into cars, I was drawn to this movie because of two great actors in Damon and Bale. Both deserve awards for their roles. The movie did not disappoint! Go watch it!

I thought I can see some great fight scene with Bourne and Batman. I like that this movie shows all little things non purposely. Like the passion of Enzo Ferrari on racing where he would watch the race the whole time; whereas Henry Ford II only wants to take the credit.
Damon was great in this movie as always but GOD Bale is on another level.

Biggest takeaway from this movie finely put by Bale here. Everyone can relate to these characters and the journey is the same for all of us in subtle and in big ways.
What I loved the most about this movie was looking at how life is when you do what you really like doing.
And also the importance of time. We cannot afford to lose even a second doing things that we do not want to do.
I've now seen this in theatres 4 times and I can say it gets better with every viewing! Fantastic film, definitely one of the years greatest!
IMAX puts you in the driver seat. Totally a thrill.

manuelkong10 I think she means that you can never tell when he’s acting or playing a character when in interviews. Damon seems pretty genuine here, but Bale? You just get the impression he’s hamming it up, and once the cameras stop he suddenly behave differently.

These guys together was amazing. Honestly I think this entire film and case is perfection. I was stunned when I saw it. My father and I have enjoyed it multiple times since we got it.
I saw it last night ( 11-14) and it is a really good movie!!! I work at a Ford dealership in Oklahoma and the owner had set up a private screening at a local theater. I give it 2 thumbs up !
