  • This is the song that was originally announced as the Swiss entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 in Dublin. After an internal selection on February 8th, "Legende de mon pays" (called "Légendes de mon pays" in newspapers) was announced as the Swiss entry on February 10th. At some point between February 27th and March 6th, the song was changed to "Les illusions de nos vingt ans". The reason for this change is unknown.

    This is why it's fruitless to ever do a video about "selected Eurovision songs that didn't actually compete"/"would-be Eurovision entrants" - comes a time when there are so many potential Eurovision entries that never got their big chance, you start to lose track. Not that I don't try anyway, of course. It's fun, even if it's infinite.
