Just so much wrong with thia ship. Turret angles are so terrible, they might be the worst in the game, terrible HP distribution, with so much HP in the superstructure, absurdly terrible gun accuracy, secondary accuracy and range are not great, especially compared to Schlieffen and Ohio, plus not having the speed or torpedoes of the Schlieffen, and the horrible outdated 2 heals (Ohio and Schlieffen can have 5 like most ships at tier VII and VIII do), nerfed HP compared to PC (Ohio has all her HP) and short damage control party active time (Ohio has the American standard active time). Truely a depressing state the Großer Kurfürst is in.
@@CalebRemastered Conquerer is in a good place currently, not even remotely the same thing as Großer Kurfürst. Superheals and British HE alone makes it absolutely hilarious to play, only weakness is the armor isn't the best, making it a bit squishier than some other BBs, and the heals have long cool downs.
GK is my only legendary ship at the moment and despite her glaring faults, I love her to death. That Yamato gun sound does wonders for morale in battle!
MGRA! (Make Grober Relevant Again). She was my first LT ship and she could be a beast with the right adjustments to turret angles, sonar time increase, Sigma buff, and removing HP out of the superstructure. Its pretty sad that she is the weakest and least effective BB at LT. She is supposed to be the pinacle of German capability but I can easily kill GK's with any German T7-T8 ship and have when I have been uptiered. She deserves to be the Queen of Kreigsmarine capability, but sadly is nowhere near it. The Schlieffen is a ship to be feared, not so for the GK.
Hello Aaron, I love the GK but as an objective player I know that it is a ship that does not behave as it should, I think that the GK actually needs an urgent buff. To begin with, I think that WG should improve the rudder turn time because it is infinitely slow and in LT you must have decent maneuverability to survive. Another important aspect to improve would be the turning speed of the turrets because unfortunately it feels eternal. The armor scheme should also be modified (mainly the superstructure), the ship's armor is very good but because of the superstructure they can drain you almost all of your HP no matter how you angle yourself. Finally, the improvement that I would ask of WG is that they give the Sonar much more duration because 60 seconds is not enough with so many Shimas out there. As a player I mainly play with German ships, I know their advantages and disadvantages and I can tell you with certainty that the GK should feel similar to a Bismarck in LT but more powerful just as the Montana feels similar to the Iowa but with more power and unfortunately the GK doesn't feel like a Bismarck at all, rather it feels like a gigantic mass that has a hard time maneuvering, moving forward and even aiming. I'm sorry for writing so much text, this is my personal opinion and I want to clarify that I may be wrong but I wanted to share my point of view about the GK.
I like the Gk! But what I really appreciate about your videos is your analysis of various ship and there optimal uses...I get more from that for my own gameplay....

Had my first 200k dmg Round in her and she was my first legendary back in the days but yes it could need an Buff, compared to the other LT BB she is Truly forgotten... many Good memorys whit this ship and imo one of the best Looking ships in the game

It's my favourite ship in the game! Had my highest damage record in this ship at 317k and my first ever kraken and regularly get 250k but I'd love this ship to get a buff! And I'll agree it's hit and miss sometimes!
admittedly I’m posting this before watching the video but I’m just gonna throw it out there, here are its main issues that need to be changed •it’s damage control needs to be 15 seconds like every other German battleship (other than FDG which is also as bad as GK) not just 8 seconds which severely limits its damage resistance •it’s heals need to be 3 stock not 2 (again like every other German battleship) it hurts its ability to stay alive and fight •it’s sonar duration in comparison to any other ship with sonar is pathetic, how Z52 essentially has the same range but twice the duration makes zero sense.. even mackensens sonar is much more effective •its secondary accuracy is so bad, its range is ok but yeah, it secondaries need a polish (secondaries are offcourse a universal problem in legends) •and I’m just saying it here because I’ve seen many say this, the health in the superstructure is problematic
The one and only good thing about gk is that it has 128mm and 150mm secondaries. Which means all the secondaries can pen 32mm. I hope Vermont is decent when I get it. Gk is atleast faster then Vermont
I nearly have the GK, just a few segments to go. But with the way it's been lately, I may be too deep in the Italian and American BB lines to even care for my German BBs anymore. I gave Italy another chance, and I've been slapping people silly at lower tiers
I play my secondary builds considerably differently. I build with Konda for concealment, and I try to stay at max secondary range. For instance, my Atlântico has a 11.9km range and 12.1 km detectability range. My goal isn't to cause damage but to attract damage. I want to tank damage as much damage as I possibly can. Being able to reverse and go dark gives tremendous advantages. I can repair and heal and stay in the fight longer. I love secondary BBs, but this ship is flat-out incompatible with my playstyle. Regardless of the HP pool and what appears to be great armor, it just dies so fast.
Fully agree she needs a buff, still enjoy using it not sure why but I do. But definitely needs a buff to make her relevant or unique in some way. Wonder if they will pull a PC and just give us Preussen instead as a “buff” lol
I want to love GK, I really do but man it honestly feels like 94,997 of my HP goes into super structure while my bow, stern and mid ships get 1 HP before getting saturated, it just doesn't make sense to have all this armor and then a majority of your hp goes to the least armored area

And accomplish what? Sniping from a ship meant for brawling, you can snipe for sure but there are plenty of better options to choose from to accomplish that task
The anime commander that buffs secondaries is honestly more p2w than AL Atago. Besides Von Hipper, Giesler is the only other free commander that boosts secondaries and he's way worse comparatively.
If you are to ever play Kürfürst again, don't bother go for secondaries, just go for accuracy instead cuz the full accuracy build on Kürfürst is actually kind of decent, kind of like Bismarck's accuracy, which is not bad and is decent. The reason why you'd die extremely fast in Kürfürst, is either skill issues, or plunging fires/ fire spam, or even just superstructure farmers.

After that there is an argument to be made for it to receive it's PC health pool along all these other LT BBs. I really don't like it compared to the Tirpitz, it has no torpedos and overall it's not a good ship at Legendary Tier. I am working on getting the Z-52 and then the Yamato in the Bureau.

I have a full accuracy build gk and honestly it does better than a brawler build but it completely makes the ship just feel like a shittier montana

I speced fully into AP shell damage and accuracy. The ship is just terrible at tanking/brawling but is actually pretty alright as a mid range sniper
It’s funny that bismarck was claimed to be broken when it has some of the worst secondary accuracy in the game

E accuracy is better on the Bizmark and the Schlieffen has the secondary power. GK kinda does neither as well. I can understand why it's forgotten
