After watching Western front on Netflix this is where is brought me....man all more than 17 millions of people died on this war......rest in paradise old timers
The big gothic structure on the thumbnail is the Cloth hall at Ypres. After its destruction during the first world war, it was rebuilt using the plans of the High Court of Calcutta (my city) . The High Court at Calcutta was inspired by the Cloth Hall at Ypres :) .
Amazing. Thanks for posting. I wonder how many of those buildings and such got destroyed in wwi, rebuilt, destroyed again in wwii and rebuilt again? I love this stuff
Excellent pictures what happened then and how it is now, even after the mass destruction of war its amazing how the new pictures depict a peaceful time.
I do not mean to criticize your work for it represents so many hours tracking down all those locations but it goes way to fast for one to take in the detail and compare in your mind the now and then of each place. Good work on the photography.

These videos like this just amaze me. Wish the changes were slower but fantastic non-the-less.
The town of Ypres. Definitely a place to visit to understand WW1, the suffering of the Belgiums and the courage of the Allied Forces
I went to there to pay my respects.
A profound experience..
Time is of the essence ⏳
