I suppose because the company is selective about their trainees and pretty insistent that certain skills are there before they will debut them. Also much as BTS probably causes Big Hit to get a lot of talented people auditioning for that company as it is now considered a very successful company, RBW has Mamamoo being a billboard for it, and likely driving a lot of talented kids for auditions that normally wouldn't have a smaller and relatively new company on their short list of companies to audition for. We all see the way that many other debuted girl groups dig Mamamoo not just for their vocal skills, but also their showmanship, and their artistic and personal freedom. So, it's no surprise that wouldn't attract trainees to the company.

Yeah, she was one of my favorite vocalists on the show. It was too bad she and Yuri were always ending up on the same teams competing for the same main vocal slot as I think the PD's tried to "evil edit" them as rivals more than was really the case. I'm glad RBW learned from past mistakes with high ranking PD101 contestants that if they are going to be part of a group, don't rush pushing the group out just to leverage one or two member's having been on Produce and having some name recognition. You need to make sure everyone around them is solid too and honestly Goeun and Jieun had things they needed to improve before debut too. Because of their senior girl group at RBW, they will have high expectations on them, so RBW has been smart to not rush them.
