    So we are staring another electrical rewire. The is a bungalow with a loft conversion. So not your standard job this is going to take some planning and also power needs to be left on at the end of the day.

    I'd go double stacked fusebox rcbo board. Keep the D.B near entrance

    Having just had my house rewired I can assure you it's not fun for the occupants either.

      It's the biggest ball ache in the world. "by the way, you'll need to empty all the rooms on the top floor for us in 2 days" (etc) furniture Tetris and carpet lifting, mattress lifting is not fun to do daily.
      I get the dust/debris everywhere but a house full of tools and crap everywhere is horrendous. Not a single nice room in the house with no mess at one point. I get its hard for the workers but as an occupant you come home to chaos daily and have no relaxation space.

    Understatement Lived In rewires are a bit more challenging.

    Nice video mate. Tight spot in the cupboard. Stacked board maybe or rip it out.

    In my 20's I'd be well up for a job like that,now in my 40's doing voids and private new builds I'm so chuffed I dont rewire occupied houses anymore

      How much does it cost roughly to do a re wire and how long ? Also is it 2 man job ?

    I’m doing exactly the same at the moment. An occupied bungalow. But luckily the loft is a lot more open than yours 🙈

    What did you use to cut the ceilings out?

    If you're tight on width space for a large CU could you not fit 2 6/8 way rcbo boards and stack them?

    • @Ragnar8504
      @Ragnar8504 3 роки тому +1

      Efixx showed a stacked one a while ago, two rows in one enclosure. That should work even better because you only need one main switch.

    I can’t see another way apart from ripping the cupboard out 🤣 the only way that looks nice is to do what you say unless you can fit the Board in

    How you gonna repair those artexed ceilings?

    • @GreenHawkConstructionltd
      @GreenHawkConstructionltd  3 роки тому

      The entire house is going to be completely plastered out
      But if not we can make the filler look similar to the artex that’s there 👍

    Without wishing to sound rude, who the hell lives there? The Hobbits. That light is way too low and as for that bar across the doorway... really. And don't you just love rocking up to a job to find the owners have moved diddly squat out of the way and somehow expect you to work round or levitate over all their (c###) possessions! Best of luck with this one as I've a feeling you'll find a lot more hidden away other than a lonely switch or some twisted wires 😉

      Look at the upstairs ceilings! What's that, 2100 mm? There's barely any space between the door frame and ceiling!
