Love reading all your comments thanks for spending your time with us!
You’re a machine and true leader 🫱🏽🫲🏼
Omg, I love you soo much!! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with all of us. Your videos have been a game changer for me and I’m looking forward to taking that next step in my “young life”.
Thanks for providing so much value!
ur giving me vibes of Latrodectus
Loved this episode…you are an awesome example for any young woman looking to do whatever they want!
I’m actually a college dropout, got married, had 2 kids.. busted my ass for Lowes for 5 years delivering appliances for $13.50 an hour, had good benefits. Then worked for one of the largest insurance companies on the east coast in a middle tier position making around $40,000 a year.. worked there for 5 years.. Covid Hits and they lay me off… back to square one..So now I’m in welding school. Loved that you brought that up. Made me feel like I’m on the up, just gotta get through it.
Research morgage processor or morgage loan officer.
Keep going bro. This comment inspired me.
good luck...
Underwater weilding is where it is at. Both my older brothers and my stepdad are weilders. For the work they do I feel is underpaid. And went a different path. To be fair they make $25 an hour, and I make $20 an hour at both jobs I work, we put in about the same hours of work a week, and I make more than all of them. If you go intro weilding don’t stop at the minimum, you do underwater wielding you’ll be retired in your late 40’s through early 50’s if you are good with money and save some. Don’t let lifestyle creep on you
Proud of you!! Make sure you learn about how to run the business not just work in it. THAT is where wealth is.
In these uncertain times, it's more important than ever to have a solid understanding of how to manage your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. But my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy.
If you need advice, consider speaking with a financial advisor. Don't get me wrong, you can do it on your own, but financial advisors have a lot more knowledge and expertise in this area.
You are completely right, Advisors have information and paths that are not disclosed to the public.. I profited £560k in 2022 under the tutelage of my Fiduciary-counselor. Am I selling? Absolutely not.. I am going to sit back and observe how this all plays out.
*@sloanmarriott5* That does make a lot of sense, unlike us, you seem to have the Market figured out. Who is this consultant?
The decision on when to pick an Adviser is a very personal one. I take guidance from “Gertrude Margaret Quinto” to meet my growth goals and avoid mistakes, she's well-qualified and her page can be easily found on the net.
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
So glad you got her on. I love Cody. She has bigger balls than most men and doesn't sugar coat anything.
Georgetown got her her first job in finance. She said the way to learn about finance is to work in finance, so her Georgetown degree was absolutely worth it. Her entrepreneurship came out of a specific, upward path via finance firms. She didn't have a product to bring to market, so the kind of entrepreneurship we have become accustomed to hearing about (software, gaming, social media) was not her background. It's apparent that her personality and drive are the elements that took her to her current situation, and arguable, those cannot be taught.
I finished this yet but I also noticed her MBA from Georgetown but so far she's just mentioned going to ASU lol does she bring up the MBA?
Only edit here is I went to Georgetown when I was at my third job in finance. I went to school while working in the exec and weekend MBA program
Codie is 37, in her 20s you needed the degree and the letters after your name to climb the corporate ladder. For the current and future generation, she talks about experience will matter more. Moreover, with her growth and grit mindset, this lady was gonna succeed either way. Some will say she got that from her education or her experience; or maybe she got the experience because of her mindset. People will always argue the chicken or the egg. Who cares. It’s all protein. Just eat.
@@ninopenon8305So you’re saying just ignore a very big point that refutes the ideas she brings up? Lol. School gave her the preparation and skills she needed to get that far. Some can be credited to her own ambition but we can’t just ignore the fact that she had a lot of help and telling people that they don’t need it to make it.
I wonder who is willing to have surgery from a doctor that learned medicine by watching youtube videos? Or fly in a plane where the pilot is a 15 year old dropout but is "passionate" and has "self belief" that he can fly a 747 if he "puts his mind to it"?
This is by far the best guest you've ever had on the show!
I met Codie in a bathroom about nine months ago, and the first thing I noticed is how authentic she is. She is someone I look up to at 21!
This is a great interview! I never followed Codie before, but I certainly will be going forward. I have a similar background- I too worked at Goldman Sachs and State Street. - I later left the corporate world and purchased a home building business, became an award winning custom home builder, and eventually purchased and successfully exited another small businesses. Thanks for sharing this interview and I hope others see the benefits of buying existing businesses.
What was the process like buying a home building business? Did you have any background in contracting?
@@_jackreder did a few of my own flips over the years but learned most of it the hard way, through mistakes.
I love her positivity. Everyone needs her positive outlook.
Every city needs a person like you, reporting from the ground. Inspire others. I don’t even live in NYC , but find you posts interesting.
I’ve watched many interviews with her. This is most in depth and most informative one I’ve seen.
I love listening to Codie’s straight forward approach. I listen to her videos all the time. Thanks for having her on the podcast.
I think this is the first three hour podcast I have finished. Not all in one sitting, but I went back to it twice and did finish. I enjoyed it! Thank you for the great info.
Same!! ❤
Codie is a hellllllllll of a communicator and educator. What a wealth of knowledge🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
"We sure asf don't wanna be the average" couldn't agree more
Every Dad watching this, I'm certain are hoping their daughters become like Codi. Her parents and husband are both very blessed! Much respect to them all and best of wishes to Her!
Hope their daughters become internet grifters?
Why not Mums
Never was into those Codie shorts. But this was an amazing interview! To understand the mindset and drive. I think I love you Codie!😅
Thank goodness you brought this up! Truly, investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life; working multiple jobs isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom and unfortunately, we discover this later in life. Currently earn as much as 10 grand weekly and this has improved my financial life. Great piece!
Wow, congratulations on your impressive investment success! Your discipline and focus on delayed gratification is truly inspiring. I'm curious, what are some of the key factors that you consider when making investment decisions? Do you have any tips for those of us who are just starting to dip our toes into the world of investing? Thanks for sharing your story!
Do you mind sharing info on the adviser who
assisted you? I'm 39 now and would love to
grow my portfolio and plan my retirement
She's OLIVIA SULLIVAN FINANCIALS
she's a known advisor. I actually did look her up curiously and went through her credentials on her webbsite... Top-notch! I wrote her an email, hopefully she's accepting new intakes.
I'm definitely gonna check her out. Do yo have any idea if she manages family fund?
Incredibly insightful across a wide array of topics. Thanks!
10 minute passing period would be amazing! I’m a teacher and our passing periods are 5 minutes-used to be 4.
Yeah!
In you school ours was 7 minutes. We needed it because the campus was large.
Yea we had 7 and that was dropped to 5
In middle school it was 5 minutes and we all had to RUN! So many collisions. An extra minute would have brought sanity and safety.
I must be living under a rock, i never heard of this girl. Great podcast!
Your not missing anything, all she is does is say alot without saying anything.
@@joeyjamison511she’s like everyone else on UA-cam - she’s got some good/different ideas and she has stuff that is so-so. Just bringing the strategy of buying into lots of small businesses directly instead of starting a business is something she was talking about on UA-cam before most anyone and that’s a valuable thing
She seems so knowledgeable about building businesses and finances in general. She has a mind racing a 1000 miles an hour. I can see how she kills it in negotiating and banking and wall street. I wish I had a fast like that.
Thank you for the advice.
No way. You got Codie on this show. I ❤ her and look up to her success. Thank you.
Bruh I've been waiting for this collab for a while! Thanks guys!
YESSSSSS!!!!! THANK YOU for having her on!!!!
Love the longer podcast. Great work guys
I really enjoyed watching this episode. Codie is definitely a go getter. I have a lot of respect for this young lady. Hopefully a lot of these young men and women learns something from this episode. One important thing that stuck out for me is that you surround yourself amongst people who want to be on the top or be the best of the best. I surround myself with people more successful than myself and it pushes me to be better.
LOVE this episode. I learned so much and I truly respect everything Codie mentioned because those are backed by research. Truly inspiring and Codie will be one of my mentors in life from now on. I plan on watching it again! Thank you for this episode (I’m not sure if “5 money habits keeping you poor” is actually covered though. What Codie has mentioned repeatedly is about finding an upside to learn and earn more)
This is probably one of the best and most practical things I have listened to in a while.
Great episode, thanks Graham and Jack and Codie!

Thank you for bringing her in!
VERY interesting guest, I do agree on most things she says and mentions. I am confident in my own career and life development, but always looking for improving myself.
at 1:58 I just jumped up and shouted "YES, THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT OUT LOUD!!" hahaha
I think it brings us faster to where we want to go, if we focus on US and what WE can do and not find or even make up reasons as to why others get somewhere, or hinder us on going somewhere...
Enjoyed this interview thank you!
I enjoy how Codie breaks down business in simple terms for most to understand even with a finance background. I find many finance people make business seem more complicated than it truly is.
@39:41 I agree completely! The experts really are the VP/MD level. Thank you for this interview and sharing your thoughts! @48:03 I agree I have a lot of respect for them too!
I had to get the transcript and print it out for this episode. Codie Sanchez has so much knowledge AND is an amazingly clear communicator.
🤯🤔🤓🤯🤩
P.S. Where's the Iced Coffee? 😅
Fan of Codie- she has clarified lot of business concepts for me. Listen to Codie is like a college course for me.
Keep up the good work.
Love this great guest!!!
Stubbed across Codie on impact theory, extremely big fan of what she’s doing.
Codie Sanchez is awesome. I've been waiting for this for a long time
This was such an amazing interview. I’ve been a fan of Codie since she came on the scene. Hope she comes back I truly enjoyed this and it helped me get through a shift at work!
Awesome episode! Thanks for doing these Graham and Jack
Had no idea who this lady was but needed something to listen to while I worked. WOW such a smart women. I really had to pay attention because of all the info that she was throwing my way. Very engaging speaker. Very interesting but also very beautiful lady. Hopefully they bring her on again soon. Sure they will. Also beautiful values and philosophy on life in general
So much value!
I think that we were never taught about the details of money because no teacher out there would be teaching if they knew how to run businesses. More now understand money, however few can grasp the new concept of what was instilled for so long in our brains. I want to hit my head and forget what I used to think about money. I am just starting my second business which is scary but a risk I need to take to understand my next level as a leader not so much a business manager. I need to switch to Owner mode. Learning money is that step I am missing to "get there". Owning a business and understanding how it generates income is the true trick. Is it Cash Positive or Cash Flow..... such a big difference between the 2.
Great pod tons of value.
It depends there are certain majors especially in STEM that you really need to go college. I am an Electrical Engineer I am actually glad I chose that major and went to college. Is a very tough major but is worth it at the end.
Very cool. I am actually going to school to become an electrical engineer. What can you tell me about electrical engineering? The dos the donts etc.
@@shanehanooman9132 Don't give up, have a couple of classmates to study with, practice your problems, Take the EIT in your senior year dont wait too long to take it. Dont be afraid of asking questions
The average welder is nowhere near 170k. Many probably make that but median is probably like 50-60k
Maybe in poor red states.
I took notes and paused allot thru the wee hours of the morning since midnight to cross research meanings while watching.. I like the financial language gems she was dropping.. I never knew they were important like that. I knew what ROI and OPM's and a few others were, and mean, but I apparently had never heard of DEI, Basis Points etc.... I have more to study.. Like her content online and confidence... Good quality leader and perfect 3:20 deep dive on great topics.!
Codie is one smart gal. Love the knowledge
Jack is exactly right. School esp college, mostly teaches you [how] to learn.
The most important skill
You spend 12yrs learning before that - if highscools weren’t such a dumpsters fire then you would know how to learn by then. College is an utter waste at this point.
In my opinion school/college does a terrible job at teaching people how to learn. It in instills way more bad habits than good ones
@@Jason-nh8ln Please elaborate.
I Love these channels: The Iced Coffee Hour, Stock Brotha, & FREENVESTING. Great to watch! ❤ ❤ ❤
As a personal injury lawyer I have NEVER experienced, heard, or seen an insurance company paying $50k to settle presuit as a cost of defense. Insurance companies pay the cheapest lawyers possible. They don’t make $50k offers on cases without merit. Simply not true.
(Also the attorney on the podcast was practicing family law. Not personal injury.)
Is this how we know she can be 50% FoS?
@@BlakeTedKord I wouldn’t say that at all. She and graham are just wrong about this tiny part of the episode.
I know Codie is trying to bring in customers for her programs, but she really it quite impressive. This was a great conversation! Thanks Codie and show!
Saw this thumbnail and said YAAASSS! So excited to listen to this. Big fan of both!
Yall had 15 minutes between classes?... I had like 5.....
I had 5 minutes also, wow 15 would have been nice
Jack, I need a hair tutorial video
40:45 I thought ROI was Return On Investment, not Return On Income?
It is. I think she misspoke
Isn’t it kinda the same?
Really enjoy this interview
Great insights on the value of college degrees today. For entrepreneurs, remember that the most successful people often create their own education through real-world experiences, networking, and self-directed learning, which can be more impactful than traditional schooling.
Grateful you guys all did a wonderful podcast together!
Really enjoyed this episode! Thanks everyone. 😊
2:36:55 damn. Well said. This is “frame on wall” level
Enjoyed every minute of the podcast! Codie has extraordinary insight and clarity covering a variety of subject matter. Really nice to hear from a female perspective - so much can learned from guests like her. Even at my age (ancient), there is always something beneficial to take away from an ICH podcast - not to mention how entertaining it is to see and listen to Graham and Jack.😊
Graham just fyi... your cameras are focusing on the mic and not the eyes. The eyes are out of focus when you watch your vid on a big screen for both sides but the mic is sharp as can be.
Can you spell Don Apondi and where to find the podcast?
love it! but around 01:00:00 we didn´t get to hear about the 2nd type of business she owns (only the media one) would love to hear that too :))
3 hour pod + Cody Sanchez = I’m IN 🗒️✍️
Most people miss it but the secret to living and retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My Dad, as i remember started saving for retirement quite late but I know he was making more than 10k returns from his investments monthly and it was completely passive.
This is amazing, I'm curious, how did he do it? Was it real estate? Or he was a market enthusiast?
Honestly this cannot be overemphasized, helping people mitigate unforseen circumstances and mistakes .It's always good to have a financial plan,
Haha, investing enthusiast? Not really. Our family got introduced to a financial consultant about four years before my dad retired. That was what changed things, and I think my retirement will be on the right track.
Please could you guide me on how to get in touch with your consultant? My funds are being eroded by inflation and I seek a more lucrative investment strategy to effectively utilize before I consider retirement
impressive, I'll definitely check it out, I buy the idea of employing the services of a financial advisor because finding that balance between saving and living requires counsel. Who do you work with?
I always found her content too click baity and like she just wanted to be an influencer but wow she is smart. I can definitely tell she did her homework about this podcast and how she brought up what other guests have said. Idk if I'll jump into watching her still but my respect for her after watching this episode is through the roof.
Awesome show!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥loving this
This girl is a machine, so admirable 👏
When señor Graham asked whether the American Dream was dead, he hit the ball out of the park.
The conversation had already been great between the three of them, what followed was icing on the cake of life. tHanks for the video!
Drink your coffee every time she says "categorically" 😂
What about health insurance when we are considering retirement? That is my concern when looking to retire at 50/55 years old.
Never heard of her but she’s awesome! Glad I came across this video
1:10:05 Jack asking a question we all have that never seems to have a real answer given
The answer for all questions regarding women have always been other woman, men will change to adapt to women if they continue to be 403 then men will continue on the same path
To the sourdough question, it has a type of bacteria that helps you break down gluten, a lot healthier.
Never heard of Codie before… I’m glad I have now. Anyone else notice the parallels between what she and Hormozi say? I love the congruency between multiple success driven individuals
3 hours? Holy shit!
Enjoy :o
I love Codie. Her and Alex are my Preferred Team, would love a podcast of those two. Anyway, I just love her
Wow such an amazing conversation
Jack has become a true co-host and not a sidekick and I love that.
Jake*
Great guest!!
Recruting companies dont get pay that much. The fee might vary from one firm to another but definetly not more than 50% of the annual salary. And yes, in the contract says the candidate must be working for certain amount of time (usually 6 months)
Great video
I love Codie Sanchez interviews.
20:09, I'm actually in this role and upper salary range without a marketing degree. What's greatly helped my career is the contextual applicability of said practices, rather than traditional educational merit + networking. Nowadays, there's tons of companies offering real-world experience that will provide a lot more relevant utility, in comparison to a four-year institution. You also have to factor in the speed at which an industry changes over a given time. Marketing is quite fast-paced and ever-evolving, which makes it hard to justify spending so much time on a degree in an industry that's going to be different 24-36 months from now. At the present, you're probably better off finding an internship with strong career trajectory that aligns with your goals and/or taking the entrepreneurial route after gaining some experience - instead of going to college.
Love Codie. Just wait until you are 50!!!
We appreciate how well you articulate your insights. Keep working hard.
🙏🏻
her voice and directness reminds me of Jan from NBC's the Office :)) Past that, very good facts and views of the ever changing job market.
What episode was the injury lawyer in?
54:26 Jack is asking better questions in every interview!
Great episode!
Thought I was in for another “girl boss” pod but thankfully wasn’t that. Just a good conversation with a very successful business person giving insight and advice. So refreshing. Learned a lot
This was long, but good. There were somethings said I felt were coming from privilege, but when Codie talks about a growth mindset, being curious, and having grit, she won me over.
Love a good long episode
Woohoo!!
“Go steal somebody else’s homework and learn on their dime” hearing this as a graduating college student is amazing!! Lots of voices on the internet bash 9-5’s and fail to realize they are a great way to learn! I’m going to use my 9-5 to learn as much as I can, pay off my student loans and save to invest!
Still liking!!
