Only because tonally the original had a really good horror atmosphere. This soundtrack is amazing, but the original tracks (at least in my opinion) fit much better in terms of conveying just how fucked up some of these scenarios are. As much as I can appreciate the new one, it's a little too action-y for my tastes. Prime example for me is the cabin fight. Popping the original track on that fight really made it feel almost like an invasion , while the new track gives it more like a "we're a badass duo". It's prefrence, but I feel tonally the original tracks still hold up better in this games context.
For me, I always thought they reminded me of some Spanish instrument, can't quite put my finger on it. But it felt like I was a matador leading a giant rampaging bull around the arena
4:35 "THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT! GOOD BOY!" I swear, i was having the biggest grin on my face the first time i did that part, Kudos to that wolf doggo, he is the best boy.
@@stalemate9077 I much prefer him being serious. In the og, Leon seemed unaffected by his trauma, and his personality was too cartoony. You can tell remake Leon has gone through shit
Anyone know what the instrument at 0:17 is, or the style of music in that specific part? I've heard it a few times but I can't place it, sounds like a woodwind or something of that sort.

God this theme slaps so hard. Can't believe there's people saying the soundtrack is mid.
Rose tinted.... ears? This soundtrack has been fantastic so far! I've been trying to find the Mendez fight theme.

@@sirspooksalot3301 my man did you not hear the chanting!?
@@carolusrex5213 the chanting is better with the original soundtrack to me
This theme and a couple of others are really solid, but I'd say the OST is pretty mid overall.
The remake theme of El Gigante gives me that creepy ancient monster vibes.
1:15 this part sounds so much like the original version

Ada dropping the rocket launcher in the Saddler fight: "Pick it up. Pick. It. Up."
ngl the music get my blood adrenaline pumping fighting this dude 💀
0:17 honestly kind of sounds like a baby/infant crying. Makes sense considering the gigantes are most likely overgrown children
Quite literally, after the first battle there is a note where the giant was sleeping where it comfirms this

Biased RE 4 Fanboys saying this theme is trash. Clearly blinded nostalgia.
Most of the bosses themes were way better in this game but the ambient was better in original
@@stalemate9077 What does that even mean lmao.
@@MrAnimason I meant that the og had a better Leon, remake Leon is too serious forget it lol
Or maybe they just have a different opinion??

Upon listening to this theme a couple more times - it's really damn good. About as good as the original.
