Since a lot of people seem to be using this for info and some of it is wrong, my two cents: KJ is a dead perk in raids because it no longer stacks. Hoplite bow is not BiS for this raid or even all that good for this raid at all. If you are a bow player, odds are you have trash bows in your storage that are great for this raid. GS is not crucial because this is not a mutation. Anything 680+ with good perks would be totally fine imo. Keep in mind that pen rapid shot is really the only essential perk. Other good perks for bosses include vicious, vorpal, and KE. Mortal refreshment/power can be nice for trash mobs as well. Ideally you hit 3 of those boss perks, but only hitting two would be fine and still be better than a hoplite bow imo. Also spam heavies on first boss to deplete the stamina faster. Less important: The mobs/bosses in these dungeons also only take 5% more damage from fire, so splitting with a ruby is not 100% necessary, especially if you do not have any fire harnessing gear. Also the cannon heartrune is really nice for the first boss if you're in a pug because it deals a TON of stamina damage, which is really nice to just ensure that your group is able to consistently deplete the bar. It is also nice for boss 3's flowers. If you're using cannon on bosses 1 or 3, make sure you pair it with RoA, explosive arrow, and lifetaker to get the best ult charge. **Full ranged loadout sucks on boss 2, don't do it**. You also have enough space on the pillars of the first boss to roll and proc evasive tactics without falling off as long as you shorten your roll with the ADS button.
@@mis8866 You do realize that any player can make video right? There is nothing more credible about a video than a comment. Work on that IQ big man. It is lacking. I literally farm this raid with a 680 bow in a pug. Your GS and the raid have nothing to do with each other. This is not an M3. And even if it was an M3, you could STILL do it with a 680 weapon as long as your average GS was still 695+. There is a reason why pen rapid bows are not available for purchase on legacy servers, even sub 700GS ones.
@@mis8866He’s not wrong though. Having 725 gear with dogshit random perks is way less effective than 685-700 with multiple stacks of EW & weapon perks.
Why does nobody talk about the Butcher Bleed build for slash damage? When I used it a year ago it was probably BIS damage even over the rapier most of the time. Did something change?
I didn't have time to watch the whole video so I wanted to ask in the comments. I couldn't understand the logic of why rapier should have keen+rogue perks. Keen and rogue side by side is a bit weird isn't it? I would be very happy if you could explain this to me because I've been thinking about it for the last few minutes lol
The weapon perks in the vid are not optimal imo. The essential ones are there (omni and pen rapid) but the secondary ones are not. Enchanted is not a good PvE bow perk either. Omni + vicious + rogue would be BiS on the rapier but the only way to get that combo is Lifering Rapier. I think as long as you have omni + rogue it's good enough for the raid, but omni vicious rogue or omni vicious KE would be optimal imo.
Was actually considering that a week ago when I was theory crafting my build. The reason I went with bow is because its more damage with the attributes I use and I had more experience using it.
nah , no range will ever beat melee in terms of damage output + consistent dmg . Freyas gives hatchet the same range damage as a ranged weapon but still not better than melee hatch or rapier for single target
This is an evade build and running finisher only benefits if you run tondo/FNF EDIT: Finisher is actually more than viable and I'm starting to run it in my own build now.
@@tundra_nwthis isn’t true. Finisher is still insanely good for evade anyway. The only thing that might be better is like a crafted rapier with like distained/rogue, attunement, KE/omni.
Finisher works with keenly jagged too. And the rapid strikes ability applies a bleed as well. The bonus damage effects both weapons and the bleed can be applied by either weapon. @@tundra_nw
If you're running anything more than 100 con on any DPS build in this raid, it is throwing. You don't need gear from the raid. You need low con and light armor lol. The number of people I've seen queueing as DPS in medium or heavy is... not good.
i don't get it brother in the start you were using spear and rapier, and then you switched to bow? the dps in this boss cant be done by melee users? just like that guy that is using hatchet but he is throwing and not coming close to the boss, for new players like me i must have a bow or a musket in the bag when i going to this dg? there are other dg like this? please let me know because i was trashing out all other weapons beside the two i'm with
Your secondary weapon will have to change depending on the boss. If you want to use rapier against the first boss and can stay alive sure go ahead, be sure to use an enfeebling spear as secondary to debuff the boss. If you can't survive close range it's better to use a bow, fireataff or musket. An optimal team will most likely be all melee but this raid is new so players aren't at that point yet
Would you like to see a healer guide for this raid?
yes please 🙏

Yeah gonna go with the bro with the video over the guy with the wall of text who reckons 680 gear is viable for this raid.

Best guide so far, ty.
Your spreadsheet has so much fire damage/harnessing. Does that add flat damage? What fire ability are we using here?
perfect video thank you
your game looks so clean, are you using a ultrawide monitor?
Hi, was just wondering why Venom as secondary melee? Is there any way to proc the passive without using heavys and coup de gra?
Great video
Why does nobody talk about the Butcher Bleed build for slash damage? When I used it a year ago it was probably BIS damage even over the rapier most of the time. Did something change?
why are you light attacking during stamina phase great video so far though
any armor to play in Hive Gorgone
Why so much fire harnessing perk on the gear? How does that equate to more dmg?
What is the rotation you use for the rapier. Are you going evade, single attack, flury, repeat, or evade double light, flury?

for gemming, does nature prot not matter anymore as primary tactic?
Would finisher be better than Omni 700 rapier with this exact setup? Just down so many perks even tho finisher is 725….
Love your cod videos!!!
What’s your take on Firestaff instead of bow?
Was actually considering that a week ago when I was theory crafting my build. The reason I went with bow is because its more damage with the attributes I use and I had more experience using it.
Surely Freya's hatchet will be best here (thrown tree) Slash dmg, high DPS skills cycling, weaken, rend, empowers

@@sdsaints4559 Yeah my point was thrown hatchet instead of the bow. Bow deals tickle damage rn
@@NockDrawLoose Bow damage is fine. His bow setup is not great though. I would never use hoplite bow to do this raid.
Can you play an off meta DPS build or will you not get a spot?
Realistically it all depends on your build and how much damage you can put out. What weapons do you use?
I ended up making an evade rapier as my back up since I’m mainly a tank.Do you have a gear set up? I have the finisher at 725 atm.
Why hoplite over Finisher?? Just for Omni??

Because you are not using any gear that is already from the raid.

you get bonus dmg if you stay in the pillars in the first boss, second boss is better to go full melee and the last one is a mix
