I see these patterns as a language of the universe. I learned this when i became obsessed with star gazing and astrology. I was going out up to 7 hours a night watching the stars move, i would animate then like scenes in a movie, and i would think about the astrological characteristics of them, it actually put me in a trip like state but for like over a week straight. Basically your conscious goes "up" there and you can then see things like you are holding the galaxy like you would a globe and can observe it like you were in another dimension, but you're still in your human body in this dimension. Its not really possible to explain it, but yes you will see the patterns in EVERYTHING. I could also feel myself in other people when i talked to them and looked into their eyes, it was hard to talk to people because it felt like we already knew and talking was just a pointless waste of time.
I read Robert Anton Wilson, back in the day and just his quick insights alone made me aware of how deep astrology can get. The only reason it is laughed at is because horoscopes are silly main stream pop culture gimics
Astrology is the energy we’re working with but we still make choices. Sometimes we make choices because of Astrological influences but the more aware you are of what’s happening, the more you have a choice of how to react to those influences.
My daughter and I were discussing the validity of astrology and we came up with the theroy that the gravitational effects of the planetary allignments have a subtle effect on the density of the material body (and brain) and have somewhat predictable nature, discovered by the natural cause and effect relationship being observed over time.
My grandma, who was a fortune-teller, said seeing the future is like being on a windy road in a canyon (where you can’t see or predict what’s ahead) and going up in a helicopter and seeing everything on and off the road in all directions. It’s not that it’s all determined but you can have a wider perspective from above that gives you deep insight.
Regarding the fruits and veggies I find it interesting that what the plants look like is what part of the body it's good for. Example-califlouer looks like brain and is good for brain. Carrot cut open center looks like eye etc

We can do as we will, but we can’t will what we want. Therefore do we truly possess free will? We are affected by each other and nature how can our will be free?
No free will, at all, till one is free from Samsara. The enlightened/liberated/realized one has part free will, but the will of God/"Source"/Tao is All. We are just a speck of the whole, and yet the whole. No control, no "will" as we think of it ordinarily through our conditioned body-mind identity.
There is no free will because there is no separation, we are cosmic perfection playing itself out, apparently. But really, how could we grasp the inconceivable?
Rather than cause and effect, it is more like synchronicity. As above, so below. It's all energy and the energy above mirrors the energy below. "Cosmos and Psyche" is an EXCELLENT book for anyone wanting to dive a little deeper into how these patterns have manifested in world history
Yay! Astrology is my favorite thing to study! Got into it a few years ago. There’s actually a new documentary called changing of the gods that was released recently and it goes over how astrology is just patterns and by looking at the past we can predict the future. The best way to use it for me is just to be aware of the “vibes” and not letting them grab me or surprise me just being aware and prepared. There is not good or bad in astrology. It sucks that pop astrology is so popular people don’t realize this is an ancient practice and it’s really a tool for self discovery, for personal growth as well. There’s so many different types of astrology too and it’s something that you don’t ever really finish studying! It’s cool when I see the configurations play out in my life I’m just like damn, sometimes it’s quite literal. Don’t freak out, we just gonna keep on spinning.
My second time taking shrooms about 5 years back, i ate 12-15grams, and it was more than i could ever of anticipated, but one of the core things that stuck with me in that trip was falling through a worm hole for eternity, and experiencing every other persons footsteps before me, i felt every action every other human before me ever took leading up to my existence, it was showing me how everything is connected across time.. everything we are experiencing here on earth, people are experiencing all across the infinite universe at various rates, we are all one thing. We are the echo of the past, but you have free will, everything isn’t predetermined, it’s already happened regardless of the decisions you make, the universe is infinite. @@nkjoself2040 there’s nothing wrong with increasing the dose, listen to Kilindi Lyi speak about high dose psilocybin experiences. If you want to go deepers it takes you giving yourself over to it, which would be a higher dose, obviously you can get there on lower doses, set and setting is important, it has to be a ritual.. and take it seriously.. not for fun, but for the sake of exploration, if you are willing to push the veil and do more than most are willing.. im not saying its going to happen because nothing is guaranteed, but if you take the dosage and respect it, you should get somewhere.. im all for large doses.. because at the end of the day, if you give yourself over to a 5 gram experience, you might aswell trust it further and try 7-8, dont jump up in dosage too high too quick.. the longer you can have that experience hopefully the more you can see.. it really opens up… high dose psilocybin is pretty much the same experience i hear people describe of dmt. But the mushroom told me everything else bows down to it, all other drugs are in their realm, so trust the mushroom, and in a religious sense, give yourself to “jesus christ” and go in for the big trip! Guarantee it will be weird, but worth it..! My big trip i thought was a bad time, but immediately after in my reflection i realize it saved me, and was exactly what i needed.. just ride it out and have faith 🍄

Hello there friend. Acid is really so underrated compared to other psychedelics. Acid has made me a really happy man( Lol thats all I can say) There were some trips where I witnessed cosmic voyages beyond my imagination state. Like its so hard to describe those feelings in to words. Last week I tried some strong dose. Totally alone in a tunnel I Surrendered my self to acid. It was totally Insane. Scared the shit out of me but like all acid trips once that scary part was gone, a huge sense of bliss follows and at one point I become merged with nature and all the trees and mountains around me started dancing with me and It was magical wow. I danced with whole universe. Some times I was a star other times I was the very air I was breathing. I could literally taste and See the music infront of me. GOD IT WAS ORGASMATIC. I simply cant tell you how blissful this was. My body was vibrating like it was releasing cosmic orgasims. I literally danced with him( God). Love you bro. Keep up the good work.
I am a professional astrologer Dakota and I can say that yes you are correct it is the study of the planets and their affect on us. And yes they are actually equations. Astrology is math. As above so below. Sun sign astrology or “pop astrology” is usually incorrect due to its lack of using the full equation aka natal chart. That’s why it’s important to actually look at the full charts in astrology in order to understand that it is real and true.
These “equations” have been proven time and time again to be no more accurate than random chance. So saying modern astrology is wrong because it’s not the “full truth” of astrology is just ridiculous - “real” astrology makes sweeping and specific claims with nothing to back it up. It’s just palm reading. Or tea leaves. Or religion. You like it? No problem. But “professionals” like you are the problem for me - making cognitive bias and wild claims more prevalent in this world.
I’m a practicing astrologer myself and I’ll say there’s legitimate math to it but only to an extent. That’s astronomy. there comes a point when astrology is no longer about calculation and instead about “spirituality” and belief. There’s no hard science to back this stuff. That’s why it’s not acknowledged by conventional academics and it’s considered a pseudoscience. I love it and it’s fun….But evidence is lacking. I still study every day….But the skeptic and scientist In me is prevented from being convinced. I see all the signs and thinks it’s crazy how my charts in specific can be like 95% accurate when I’m being real with myself. But a lot of times for others they’ve gotten a reading about atmakaraka or moon sign nakshatra and completely denied it’s accuracy. Like I said…astrology is either mostly belief based and not provable….or we still don’t know shit about shit.

It's not like things are predetermined....by knowing what energies are going to roll through you can actually tweak things a bit even if not totally or prepare to shape your future to be more in line with what you are trying to manifest. Shamanic astrology is the only astrology in my opinion... I studied astrology in the 80s and it was the only thing that really explained things to my satisfaction. Traditional astrology, not so much. It's kind of like dream interpretation....traditional vs. shamanic. Completely different!
My first few trips I realised astrology as one of the highest truths.. After many more the moon appeared like plasma and opened up into 6 circles showing literal cogs of the universe behind..

I'm halfway through and COMPLETELY relate to what you are saying so far. I too was a massive skeptic about astrology because aren't we all those archetypes? Couldn't every horoscope apply to each of us in some small way? But then the more I dug the more I realized there were different forms of astrology and what truly changed my mind was studying Hellenstic astrology which is all about timing techniques. This blew my mind because it was all about the study of cycles and patterns and once I started to ask friends and even friends of friends about certain dates it was spooky how they would react because they would validate certain life events. I don't think we can possibly predict the EXACT event but we can for sure see upcoming themes and energies of what the event could possibly manifest as....

The problem is that people think they know astrology but probably 5% of practitioners actually know it well enough to make sound interpretations/readings. Astrology is either complete bs. Or it’s so complicated even now that we just can’t pin it down. This is coming from an astrology enthusiast myself.

i always felt that freewill and determinism were a simultaneous truth. Think about when your playing a video game and how u select your characters stats and build and you know your going to try an play a certain way. Their are still going to be things that pop up and surprise you bc everything doesnt just happen according to your conscious will. However in a a way the destinaton is the same regardless of how many different directions you decide to take in order to get there
I like to think about it like the Mandelbrot set since the universe is fractal. I wrote a paper on this for one of my college classes so I'll just copy and paste that segment here. Fractals are infinitely complex shapes formed by incredibly simple starting parameters. They are formed by iterating different inputs through a function. They are found everywhere in nature. I will give one rather compelling example: the structure of our galactic supercluster follows, quantitatively, the exact same matter distribution patterns as the neuronal network of the human brain.1 One could also say that humans are fractal because people come out of people. Mathematically, though, there is the Mandelbrot set which can be visualized in two dimensions2 as well as three dimensions.3 The Mandelbrot grows more complex in each iteration, starting from zero input-undifferentiated ubiquity. As it iterates, it is self-similar to the former iteration throughout its development, no matter which area of the fractal that the focus is directed. “Every world is a mirror of the world from which it originates” (Ali 68) (this is a quote from a Sufi scholar/mystic) Despite the appearance of the shape and its apparent differentiation, it is simply one complex curve-it is connected everywhere across all scales. It begins with a circle and as it moves the line remains unbroken. The actual visual fractal is formed by two types of numbers: numbers that “diverge to infinity, where a color is chosen based on how fast it diverges” and numbers that do “not diverge, and form the actual Mandelbrot set, shown as black” (Pierce 1). I believe the linguistic correspondence to the properties of the Mandelbrot set in philosophical language is the oneness of Being: omniscience (as it is only one thing, so it intrinsically knows itself) and omnipresence (since it is only one thing; the concept of presence is hardly even applicable-perhaps one could call it an illusion of perspective). Each iteration of the Mandelbrot set can be thought of as a degree of emanation of the Essence. Each location within the set has a different pattern in which it terminates in singularity as well.4
@@kenrick66 I feel like it's both at the same time. God is non-dual which mean god is being and non-being at the same time. From a state of non-being the universe (illusion/being) is born. It must be so. There must be nothing before there is something otherwise there would be nothing to distinguish the existence from non-existence which is the perspective of God (infinite consiousness) which is no perspective at all if you really think about it for a minute. On free will, us as human beings are limited to the decision to live in flow with the Tao or to become unbalanced and experience the suffering of desire. Suffering is how we evolve as infinite consciousness and as Dakota beautifully put this is no real evolution at all as we are already whole. God consciousnesses sees this existential "meaninglessness" as no problem because all that exists is consciousness therefore all there is to do is to experience EVERY possiblity in existence. If you do deep inquiry you will find this is the Highest Love. Unconditional Love. Removal of desire allows us to live in this love because we are not attached to any particular state of being so we can be open to love ALL aspects of reality.
I think our path is created from our higher selves in conjunction with our spirit guides before birth including the council of elders to help guide us in that creation story . We then incarnate on this path to experience and learn what we came here to learn. If we pay attention we don't have to repeat the same life decisions we made in past incarnations. we evolve and make better decisions that let us *get it right * evolution as a whole but as an individual as part of the whole. We create our experiences with our mind by invoking energy into them along our path.
The way I understand it is is that the planets do not necessarily affect us directly, it's just like you say there are certain patterns that keep reemerging, just like everything comes in seasons circling back in on itself before it grows out again. Every season represents a certain energy, and this energy is all present, 'as above so below'' . But there's always nuances to it. As everyone knows nothing ever exists or happens twice in exactly the same way. I once heard the comparison being made, that we are like a hypthetical ant who is observing certain patterns of behaviour in a person that happens to live in a house next to its little hill. Every morning the person is leaving the house around the same time and the ant knows nothing about the how and why, it just observes that all the conditions around its hill always seem to be kind of the same when this person appears. Like the light of the day, perhaps crumbs on the ground of something the guy is eating on the go and so on. Now, just like this just energetically, the planets are just an outward represantation of these energies. A small part of it, that is observable to us.
The problem I run into it’s pretty simple: Astrology is based on the stars as seen from the surface of earth. Seems like any legit science wouldn’t be bound up so closely with the observer. Star Trek: Enterprise actually did a great episode showing how ridiculous astrology is from the pov of a scientifically advanced culture.

Tropical (mainstream astrology),sidereal(true-sidereal),joytish,vedic,draconic (based on tropical equinox), dodecatemoria/dwad is 12th harmonic chart. You can calculate a dwad for tropical, sidereal and draconic astrology chart. however you can't cast or create a draconic version of sidereal.

i think "cycles" or "rhythms" might be other good words for pattern? also, whether or not things are determined: i like Terrence McKenna's idea that all of history is a process, and its heading somewhere(or building something). If its all one process, and we are just playing a role in the greater narrative, then how can we synchronize with whats already going on? I think maybe this is where the Dao comes in. If we can shift into a state of open awareness I think we can synchronize with the Dao of what is already taking place, which creates a feeling of effortlessness. I also think its worth saying that there might be some kind of PULSE (on/0ff) yin/yang of the feeling of being IN CONTROL and CHOOSING and the feeling that its all being controlled. Im borrowing this idea from Alan Watts but I think theres something to it that ive observed in myself, that there might be something about the "mechanics" of the universe that creates this yin yang pulse of choice/no choice? Is no choice the truth and choice is pulse of samsaric illusion and its only a matter of time before we shift back into the choiceless. also, if you haven't seen Exotic Contents or Everything by Max Cooper, i highly recommend it

This is a topic that deserves much attention. Unfortunately a lot of frauds have made astrology seem like hokum, but there are many genuine astrologers out there who practice it diligently. I happened to come across one, and he explains it so well. It is a beautiful amalgamation of mathematics and astronomy. Ancient Indians used to study this and that is evident in the way our temples and other ancient monuments were built. Man I so wish one day we can discuss stuff like this.
Also I don’t think life is completely predetermined, I think that we have certain parameters in which we can work in. But honestly the more I grow as an astrologer it scares me how much I can read what may happen in my future and others that does come true.
In astrology some things have to happen. But it’s mixed with free will. Things will happen no matter what but how you react is up to you! So things are predetermined yes and no.
The planets and their angles and movements are a reflection of the human pysche, individualy as well as collectively. Understanding your astrological natal chart is a very insightful and effective diagnostic tool - it can potentially save you a lot of therapy. Some Eastern religions say that if all of humanity became enlightened, the planets would disintergrate because they would no longer have a purpose.
The astrological and celestiel paths are essenses, energies, we pass through them over and over again - but exactly what happens is different. We are either following someone elses celestiel pull, or our own - which is why world leaders use astrology to influence us all.

As above so below. We're all just jumbled up Rubiks cubes trying to put ourselves back into alignment. Astrology perfectly shows that. I think the real value in astrology is seeing it for the philosophy it is, a way to categorize and see the world. You don't need to believe in astrology to see the value in that. However what made me a believer was learning about evolutionary astrology and how the movements and placements of the planets affect the world. One of my favorite things to do is simultaneously watch world news channels and astrological forecasters and compare the two. It's like watching the weather ("space weather") and trying to see how accurate it is haha. And the astrology has been freakishly accurate in predicting current events. What really helped me start seeing the patterns in astrology was tying in spiritual pagan practices of celebrating the seasons of the year and realizing that astrology is strongly connected to the the cyclical passages of time. Also how it is very much a science, there are angles, degrees, full moons are typically polarities of signs which balance each other. In astrology, nothing really changes without balancing itself out in someway.
If we all are parts of one vast consciousness, then it is as you say-there is little free will except after realization. How do you live with this? You take a sigh of relief that none of it matters and try to keep in mind it’s all a ride. An adventure tailored just for you with love. Not an easy thing to do , for sure. Yes patterns is very big part of if. Astrology is the dynamic (predominantly cyclic) positions of all things or energies in the universe. Not only do all cosmological bodies (stars, planets, moons, asteroids, etc.) carry certain energetic qualities, but their positions in relation to each other & location along the ecliptic will have a multitude of influencing energies on any single moment in time. And because everything is interconnected, everything does play a part & has an affect on everything else. However, the bigger and/or closer the body is, the more noticeable the influence is. So although our moon is much smaller than the planets, it still has a very significant impact on us here on earth. The more bodies that are examined together at one moment, the more their energies will paint or provide a story for that moment. Astrology can best be utilized to aid in a person knowing themselves & also to assist them in having some insight as to the qualities of situations, events, or possible types of decisions that may be on their approaching horizon. The pattern of celestial bodies at the precise moment a person is born is imprinted into that person’s physical existence, possibly within our DNA. That pattern is what can be represented as a natal chart. An astrologer will use a person’s chart & see how it relates to the current transits or the planetary transits for a specific date inquired about. This is a reading. That’s why cheap horoscopes at a convenience store based only upon one’s zodiac or Sun sign is ridiculously vague & of little to no value. Although cycles of a familiar qualities & characteristics come, go, & return; no two exact moments or precise events will not ever again reoccur, just as no two people (not even identical twins) will ever be exactly the same.

Yeah, it's interesting you put this video up when I was having a moment with myself. I got recently some how drawn to the moon and a voice said I could look into astrology and I dismissed it but little by little, I start to realize how weirdly in sync I am with the world around me so maybe this would be to my benefit. I see things like astrology not as calling into question the notion of freewill, but as highlighting what freewill truly is. Given that there appear to be predictable and seemingly orchestrated motions of planetary bodies that operate in patterns of movement relative to our point of observation, then there can come a sense within the ego which understands this that some kind of self-attunement might be necessary to fall into alignment with the cosmic order. However, my perception is that the true self beyond the ego is the one which is acknowledging that the ego itself only exists as the energetic confluence of distortions that have been allowed by an imposed resistance to its own self-mirroring (within the framework of that order) in an effort to stand out from what is already self-evident and ever co-creating. In letting go of that resistance and its resulting egoic perspective, I consistently discover states in which everything suddenly becomes effortless and takes on a quality that the ego would refer to as magical or psychedelic, but which feel simultaneously perfectly ordinary and blissful.

I get uncomfortable and overwhelmed when I look at a clear night sky for more than a minute or so, but it's not an inherently negative kind of discomfort. I think answering the question of whether or not the moon has an impact on us (when you were saying that we are mostly water and the moon affects tides etc) is as simple as looking, i’ve noticed that if I just put awareness to the moon cycles and my environment around me I will notice changes in energy and how myself and others act. I wouldn't say karma is an illusion but in your terms, it's more like( walls, particles) reflecting the echo of the universe in different directions leading to different outcomes, Like sound coming from a source can be distorted due to an object in between, or flows through(Just try to grasp the concept) example air through flute will make different sound as compared to trumpet. It's all about shifting the perspective of our minds so that we can see into other realms of possibility. I personally don't actually take hallucinogens but I am a psychic seer and shamana (medicine woman) So I can have pretty intense visuals from.the decalfication process of my pineal gland and the raising of my consciousness symbiotically. As someone who has more masculine traits than feminine in times gone by I have struggled to tap into my intuition and therefore also did not believe in astrology however this winter I caught Corina virus and while gaining natural immunity I had some pretty intense fever visions. I believe that I am actually connected so deeply with the earth and the stars. I sound really big headed when I talk about things like this which is why I hide my birthday but my moon sign is an air sign which makes me incredibly intelligent and claircognazant so what this means is I just know things however my intuition can get blocked so sometimes I don't always believe the signs However I definitely believe my life force is connected to planet earths on a deep level, so for example around Christmas time I got into a really low vibration where I became sick and was at the point where I was nearly dying which is where I had the fever visions. I couldn't get treated by any drs or hospital for about a month and the only thing they offered was a lip cream which I vlogged about on my Instagram and UA-cam. Anyhow, i digress, I thought at the time that I was going to die without being able to say goodbye to my children so I quickly started to manifest world war three. I said affirmations and told the queen to go into hiding on a video on UA-cam while recording a video about the Plutonian return which predicted world war three mass terrorism etc etc and also made propaganda myself to get my friends and family to burn down the towers and created many activism posts. Well no less than a week later after turning my phone off because I knew something was incoming from looking into astrology I hear about Russia and Ukraine. I see these patterns as a language of the universe. I learned this when i became obsessed with star gazing and astrology. I was going out up to 7 hours a night watching the stars move, i would animate then like scenes in a movie, and i would think about the astrological characteristics of them, it actually put me in a trip like state but for like over a week straight. Basically your conscious goes "up" there and you can then see things like you are holding the galaxy like you would a globe and can observe it like you were in another dimension, but you're still in your human body in this dimension. Its not really possible to explain it, but yes you will see the patterns in EVERYTHING. I could also feel myself in other people when i talked to them and looked into their eyes, it was hard to talk to people because it felt like we already knew and talking was just a pointless waste of time.

My daughter and I were discussing the validity of astrology and we came up with the theroy that the gravitational effects of the planetary allignments have a subtle effect on the density of the material body (and brain) and have somewhat predictable nature, discovered by the natural cause and effect relationship being observed over time.
My grandma, who was a fortune-teller, said seeing the future is like being on a windy road in a canyon (where you can’t see or predict what’s ahead) and going up in a helicopter and seeing everything on and off the road in all directions. It’s not that it’s all determined but you can have a wider perspective from above that gives you deep insight.

Yay! Astrology is my favorite thing to study! Got into it a few years ago. There’s actually a new documentary called changing of the gods that was released recently and it goes over how astrology is just patterns and by looking at the past we can predict the future. The best way to use it for me is just to be aware of the “vibes” and not letting them grab me or surprise me just being aware and prepared. There is not good or bad in astrology. It sucks that pop astrology is so popular people don’t realize this is an ancient practice and it’s really a tool for self discovery, for personal growth as well. There’s so many different types of astrology too and it’s something that you don’t ever really finish studying! It’s cool when I see the configurations play out in my life I’m just like damn, sometimes it’s quite literal.

If you want to go deepers it takes you giving yourself over to it, which would be a higher dose, obviously you can get there on lower doses, set and setting is important, it has to be a ritual.. and take it seriously.. not for fun, but for the sake of exploration, if you are willing to push the veil and do more than most are willing.. im not saying its going to happen because nothing is guaranteed, but if you take the dosage and respect it, you should get somewhere.. im all for large doses.. because at the end of the day, if you give yourself over to a 5 gram experience, you might aswell trust it further and try 7-8, dont jump up in dosage too high too quick.. the longer you can have that experience hopefully the more you can see.. it really opens up… high dose psilocybin is pretty much the same experience i hear people describe of dmt. I danced with whole universe. Some times I was a star other times I was the very air I was breathing. I could literally taste and See the music infront of me. GOD IT WAS ORGASMATIC. I simply cant tell you how blissful this was. My body was vibrating like it was releasing cosmic orgasims. I literally danced with him( God).

I am a professional astrologer Dakota and I can say that yes you are correct it is the study of the planets and their affect on us. And yes they are actually equations. Astrology is math. As above so below.
Sun sign astrology or “pop astrology” is usually incorrect due to its lack of using the full equation aka natal chart.
That’s why it’s important to actually look at the full charts in astrology in order to understand that it is real and true.
These “equations” have been proven time and time again to be no more accurate than random chance. So saying modern astrology is wrong because it’s not the “full truth” of astrology is just ridiculous - “real” astrology makes sweeping and specific claims with nothing to back it up.
It’s just palm reading. Or tea leaves. Or religion. You like it? No problem. But “professionals” like you are the problem for me - making cognitive bias and wild claims more prevalent in this world.
I’m a practicing astrologer myself and I’ll say there’s legitimate math to it but only to an extent. That’s astronomy. there comes a point when astrology is no longer about calculation and instead about “spirituality” and belief. There’s no hard science to back this stuff. That’s why it’s not acknowledged by conventional academics and it’s considered a pseudoscience. I love it and it’s fun….But evidence is lacking. I still study every day….But the skeptic and scientist In me is prevented from being convinced. I see all the signs and thinks it’s crazy how my charts in specific can be like 95% accurate when I’m being real with myself. But a lot of times for others they’ve gotten a reading about atmakaraka or moon sign nakshatra and completely denied it’s accuracy. It's not like things are predetermined....by knowing what energies are going to roll through you can actually tweak things a bit even if not totally or prepare to shape your future to be more in line with what you are trying to manifest. Shamanic astrology is the only astrology in my opinion... I studied astrology in the 80s and it was the only thing that really explained things to my satisfaction. Traditional astrology, not so much. It's kind of like dream interpretation....traditional vs. shamanic. Completely different!
But perhaps you were predetermined to "tweak things a bit". You see whatever changes you make, you were meant to make those changes. Predetermined.

I'm halfway through and COMPLETELY relate to what you are saying so far. I too was a massive skeptic about astrology because aren't we all those archetypes? Couldn't every horoscope apply to each of us in some small way? But then the more I dug the more I realized there were different forms of astrology and what truly changed my mind was studying Hellenstic astrology which is all about timing techniques. This blew my mind because it was all about the study of cycles and patterns and once I started to ask friends and even friends of friends about certain dates it was spooky how they would react because they would validate certain life events. I don't think we can possibly predict the EXACT event but we can for sure see upcoming themes and energies of what the event could possibly manifest as....

I like to think about it like the Mandelbrot set since the universe is fractal. I wrote a paper on this for one of my college classes so I'll just copy and paste that segment here.

@@kenrick66 I feel like it's both at the same time. God is non-dual which mean god is being and non-being at the same time. From a state of non-being the universe (illusion/being) is born. It must be so. There must be nothing before there is something otherwise there would be nothing to distinguish the existence from non-existence which is the perspective of God (infinite consiousness) which is no perspective at all if you really think about it for a minute.
On free will, us as human beings are limited to the decision to live in flow with the Tao or to become unbalanced and experience the suffering of desire. I think our path is created from our higher selves in conjunction with our spirit guides before birth including the council of elders to help guide us in that creation story . We then incarnate on this path to experience and learn what we came here to learn. If we pay attention we don't have to repeat the same life decisions we made in past incarnations. we evolve and make better decisions that let us *get it right * evolution as a whole but as an individual as part of the whole. We create our experiences with our mind by invoking energy into them along our path.
The way I understand it is is that the planets do not necessarily affect us directly, it's just like you say there are certain patterns that keep reemerging, just like everything comes in seasons circling back in on itself before it grows out again. Every season represents a certain energy, and this energy is all present, 'as above so below'' . But there's always nuances to it. As everyone knows nothing ever exists or happens twice in exactly the same way. I once heard the comparison being made, that we are like a hypthetical ant who is observing certain patterns of behaviour in a person that happens to live in a house next to its little hill. Every morning the person is leaving the house around the same time and the ant knows nothing about the how and why, it just observes that all the conditions around its hill always seem to be kind of the same when this person appears. Like the light of the day, perhaps crumbs on the ground of something the guy is eating on the go and so on. Now, just like this just energetically, the planets are just an outward represantation of these energies. A small part of it, that is observable to us.

The problem I run into it’s pretty simple: Astrology is based on the stars as seen from the surface of earth. Seems like any legit science wouldn’t be bound up so closely with the observer. also, whether or not things are determined: i like Terrence McKenna's idea that all of history is a process, and its heading somewhere(or building something). If its all one process, and we are just playing a role in the greater narrative, then how can we synchronize with whats already going on? I think maybe this is where the Dao comes in. If we can shift into a state of open awareness I think we can synchronize with the Dao of what is already taking place, which creates a feeling of effortlessness.
I also think its worth saying that there might be some kind of PULSE (on/0ff) yin/yang of the feeling of being IN CONTROL and CHOOSING and the feeling that its all being controlled. Im borrowing this idea from Alan Watts but I think theres something to it that ive observed in myself, that there might be something about the "mechanics" of the universe that creates this yin yang pulse of choice/no choice? Is no choice the truth and choice is pulse of samsaric illusion and its only a matter of time before we shift back into the choiceless.

This is a topic that deserves much attention. Unfortunately a lot of frauds have made astrology seem like hokum, but there are many genuine astrologers out there who practice it diligently. I happened to come across one, and he explains it so well. It is a beautiful amalgamation of mathematics and astronomy. Ancient Indians used to study this and that is evident in the way our temples and other ancient monuments were built. Man I so wish one day we can discuss stuff like this.

The planets and their angles and movements are a reflection of the human pysche, individualy as well as collectively. As above so below. We're all just jumbled up Rubiks cubes trying to put ourselves back into alignment. Astrology perfectly shows that. I think the real value in astrology is seeing it for the philosophy it is, a way to categorize and see the world. You don't need to believe in astrology to see the value in that. However what made me a believer was learning about evolutionary astrology and how the movements and placements of the planets affect the world. One of my favorite things to do is simultaneously watch world news channels and astrological forecasters and compare the two. It's like watching the weather ("space weather") and trying to see how accurate it is haha. And the astrology has been freakishly accurate in predicting current events. What really helped me start seeing the patterns in astrology was tying in spiritual pagan practices of celebrating the seasons of the year and realizing that astrology is strongly connected to the the cyclical passages of time. Also how it is very much a science, there are angles, degrees, full moons are typically polarities of signs which balance each other. In astrology, nothing really changes without balancing itself out in someway.

Yes patterns is very big part of if. Astrology is the dynamic (predominantly cyclic) positions of all things or energies in the universe. Not only do all cosmological bodies (stars, planets, moons, asteroids, etc.) carry certain energetic qualities, but their positions in relation to each other & location along the ecliptic will have a multitude of influencing energies on any single moment in time. And because everything is interconnected, everything does play a part & has an affect on everything else. However, the bigger and/or closer the body is, the more noticeable the influence is. So although our moon is much smaller than the planets, it still has a very significant impact on us here on earth. The more bodies that are examined together at one moment, the more their energies will paint or provide a story for that moment. Astrology can best be utilized to aid in a person knowing themselves & also to assist them in having some insight as to the qualities of situations, events, or possible types of decisions that may be on their approaching horizon. The pattern of celestial bodies at the precise moment a person is born is imprinted into that person’s physical existence, possibly within our DNA. That pattern is what can be represented as a natal chart. An astrologer will use a person’s chart & see how it relates to the current transits or the planetary transits for a specific date inquired about. This is a reading. That’s why cheap horoscopes at a convenience store based only upon one’s zodiac or Sun sign is ridiculously vague & of little to no value. Although cycles of a familiar qualities & characteristics come, go, & return; no two exact moments or precise events will not ever again reoccur, just as no two people (not even identical twins) will ever be exactly the same.

I see things like astrology not as calling into question the notion of freewill, but as highlighting what freewill truly is. Given that there appear to be predictable and seemingly orchestrated motions of planetary bodies that operate in patterns of movement relative to our point of observation, then there can come a sense within the ego which understands this that some kind of self-attunement might be necessary to fall into alignment with the cosmic order. However, my perception is that the true self beyond the ego is the one which is acknowledging that the ego itself only exists as the energetic confluence of distortions that have been allowed by an imposed resistance to its own self-mirroring (within the framework of that order) in an effort to stand out from what is already self-evident and ever co-creating. In letting go of that resistance and its resulting egoic perspective, I consistently discover states in which everything suddenly becomes effortless and takes on a quality that the ego would refer to as magical or psychedelic, but which feel simultaneously perfectly ordinary and blissful.

I get uncomfortable and overwhelmed when I look at a clear night sky for more than a minute or so, but it's not an inherently negative kind of discomfort. I just become so astonished so instantly now when I try to wrap my mind around wtf is going on up there. I think answering the question of whether or not the moon has an impact on us (when you were saying that we are mostly water and the moon affects tides etc) is as simple as looking, i’ve noticed that if I just put awareness to the moon cycles and my environment around me I will notice changes in energy and how myself and others act. I wouldn't say karma is an illusion but in your terms, it's more like( walls, particles) reflecting the echo of the universe in different directions leading to different outcomes, Like sound coming from a source can be distorted due to an object in between, or flows through(Just try to grasp the concept) example air through flute will make different sound as compared to trumpet. So I can have pretty intense visuals from.the decalfication process of my pineal gland and the raising of my consciousness symbiotically.
As someone who has more masculine traits than feminine in times gone by I have struggled to tap into my intuition and therefore also did not believe in astrology however this winter I caught Corina virus and while gaining natural immunity I had some pretty intense fever visions.
It was in this time that I started to understand how powerful I was through looking into my birthchart. After ascending through these shifts in earth over the last few years I have nearly been killed, had a home birth, had my children removed, nearly got kidnapped, had a seizure and my feet turned blue from using technology (listening to music while sitting in my toes cutting off circulation to limbs due to low mood) went blind and deaf temporarily from sungazing and listening to loud music but I always trusted in the divine and in my astrological chart.
I believe that I am actually connected so deeply with the earth and the stars. I sound really big headed when I talk about things like this which is why I hide my birthday but my moon sign is an air sign which makes me incredibly intelligent and claircognazant so what this means is I just know things however my intuition can get blocked so sometimes I don't always believe the signs
However I definitely believe my life force is connected to planet earths on a deep level, so for example around Christmas time I got into a really low vibration where I became sick and was at the point where I was nearly dying which is where I had the fever visions.
