ASHER describes himself as a ‘trad goth’ and is inspired by the 80's goth scene. He always wears black and loves to accessorise with lots of silver jewellery. "Makeup definitely helps express myself," he told Truly and says he "is inspired by drag". The makeup is a massive part of the look as it is the "first thing people look at" when he is out and about. Today MUA Lia Natasha is transforming Asher from an 80's trad goth into something super glam. Will Asher like his new look and will his mum prefer it?

Hello, I'm Asher's mom! Thank you so much for watching our video and going on this fun ride with us! I know that transgender/pronouns can be confusing and not everyone agrees. However, Asher is only 16. Hes still a kid, and he's MY kiddo and I love him very much. He's a human being that deserves respect at the bare minimum so please, keep any comments that aren't uplifting and positive for a CHILD to hear to yourself. Let's not bully a kid just bc you don't agree. He's not yours at the end of the day. Leave his parenting to me. I got this 😉
The fact that he can do his make up in 30 minutes and it looks that good is amazing. It takes me 15 minutes to do my brows😂

Trad goths always impress me with their makeup applying skills. I'm not trad goth, but I dress heavy metal/80s glam when I go out and I love spending the hours it takes to get ready because it gives me time to focus on myself and I feel incredibly confident. Everyone should pamper themselves and take a day to be vain especially if you work with customers - it's therapeutic.

As a new waver goth kid in the 80’s I used to cut up and sew together my clothes. I used to dress like Robert Smith with my trench coat lol
What a sweet and supportive mother he has. When we as parents, allow our kids to express themselves as they want… it makes for healthier and happier children.
30 minutes for makeup? damn i'm a cosmetology student and it takes me two hours to do my everyday trad goth makeup

These younger goths/alternative kids appear to be far more pretentious and very wealthy compared to the ones I knew growing up.
