Mine was billowing smoke earlier today...but, as always, my lid was open until there was no smoke. The only time I've ever had an unintentional fire in my smoker was a grease fire. I did a pulled pork and didn't clear the grease channels then forgot...till I tried to make burgers and hot dogs and cranked the heat to +400f.
If your firing up your smoker your supposed to have your lid open . I see the number one cause of this is when you leave your pellets in your smoker for long periods of time (smoke are smoke ) you have to take out the old pellets and insert new ones and leave the lid open till you hear that jet sound and you’ll never have a preignition 🫶
