I am married to a doctor. Its been a 7 month of our marriage and almost 5 years of togetherness. ya ya u are right icterus means yellowish discolouration of eye which is seen mainly in sclera (white part of eye) and lower palpebral conjuctiva we used to check anemia if there is any pallor present or not

This video is awesome but there is one mistake that jaundice or yellowish discoloration of mucous membranes is checked on upper bulbar sclera and the doctor have checked the lower palpebral conjunctive which is appropriate site to check for pallor or anemia.....rest is absolutely fine....and the message is clear and the purpose is served.. thank you so much filtercopy

Coming from a final yr medical student ~ If eyes are yellow it’s called icterus,it’s a symptom of jaundice…If there is pallor in the lower eyelid then it is symptom of Anemia….small mistake in video ..but overall nice :)

Yellowing of eyes (icterus) is the classic symptom of hyperbilirubinemia (jaundince) and its examined in upper conjuctiva not lower.. pallor (fadeing of redness) is checked in lower conjuctiva which could means anemia... but its just a video.. this is for general knowledge..

Yellowing of eyes (icterus) is the classic symptom of hyperbilirubinemia (jaundince) and its examined in upper conjuctiva not lower.. pallor (fadeing of redness) is checked in lower conjuctiva which could means anemia... but its just a video.. this is for general knowledge..
