Randy I go back to your lessons all the time. Just recorded I'm gonna love you too. Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash are masters at making a 3 chord song so complicated that you get thrown off at some point. LOL
Hi Bobby, his style was so unique the way he attacked the strings and the sound he got out of it. I can play some of his solos, but could never really replicate his picking technique. I don't feel qualified enough to do this video
Hi Randy great to get your latest offering. Guess what? I just messaged Johnny Powers and he gave me a wave! What a story he can tell. Long story short - if you haven't already (and forgive me if you have) 'Long Blond Hair' has a couple of tasty guitar parts in it Cheers my friend, keep it up!
That would be one possible reason to consider. However, I don't think it's the case for two reasons 1. Even on the master tapes most of the Johnny Cash songs are in F or Bb. That's the difference to Your True Love by Carl Perkins which was in fact sped up by Sam Phillips. Here, the master tape is in the original key of E 2. When you watch the old tv show appearances of Johnny Cash, you'll see that they play the songs in the same keys with their guitars tuned up a half step. ua-cam.com/video/Roug4qG7qCY/v-deo.html
Who? WHOO clicked "dislike" on this one?! This was great as usual! Keep it up Randy!!!
Haters gonna hate
There are always people who don't like what I do. You can't please all.

So precise with your right hand. Very talented fellow.
Randy, you're a true gentleman and a joy to watch. Thanks for the lessons.
Thank you very much for your kind words

You're absolutely right about the masters of complicated 3chord progressions. Thanks a lot for your comment!
Danke Schoen for all the great lessons Randy! You are helping me (and I suspect a lot of other people too)!

Hi Clark, I did Long Blond Hair. It's such a fantastic song! I will do Rock, Rock as well later this year, amazing guitar work on both songs, I think
What amplifier are you using? It sounds very Accurate to Luther’s 1948 Silvertone 1300
Amazing
Thank you
Yeah, really a good thing..... and it sounds harter than it really is! Thanks a lot!!
Would you show a lesson on how to play Johnny Cash's song Doing My Time with tabs
Yes, this is one I could do down the road. Thank you for your suggestion

Die letzten 30 Sekunden des Videos waren hilfreich.
Nice lesson. I am working on piano now too. How's your piano going?
I want to see more of that acoustic guitar
@@Harp_and_Guitar_Moving_Forward It is an old one. It's a 1947 Epiphone that my father bought new. Nice action and tone.
I haven't played too much piano lately, just enough to stay in shape. Too much other work to do, which is good in one way.
Master guitarist
you do realize the tape speed changed the key.
